About this cottage rental
For summer bookings the Bayview is available only for arrival on Sunday or Thursday with departure any Sunday or Thursday. Arrive Thursday and depart Sunday for a 3 day weekend, Arrive Sunday depart Thursday for a mid week visit or arrive Sunday depart Sunday for a week visit OR arrive Thursday departs following Thursday for a 7 night visit, or arrive Thursday depart a week from Sunday for a 10 night visit. Lots of flexibility with length of visit! After September 7, minimum 2 night visit Bayview Cottage has been welcoming guests for over 30 years and families return year after year to enjoy its convenient location and amenities!! Situated across from the Suttons Bay Marina, Bayview Cottage is a short walk to all the village of Suttons Bay has to offer: gourmet and casual dining, charming boutique shopping and specialty stores which make Suttons Bay unique! Enjoy early morning coffee on the back deck overlooking the Guest House Garden, or stroll the pier and wander the marina as the early morning sun rises! Wine tasting, as well as fine dining, abounds in the heart of wine country. Bayview has 2 oversized bedrooms with queen beds and all of the amenities of home!! The primary bedroom has new (2024) ensuite tile bath. The main bath completed in 2024 has tile shower over tub. Nearby attractions include Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Leelanau Sands Casino, and the Interlochen Center for the Arts. Sprinkled throughout Leelanau County you will discover charming villages, wineries, antique dealers, and outdoor recreational opportunities, including access to Lake Michigan. Traverse City is just 20 minutes away, offering 'city style' entertainment for those so inclined. The Leelanau Trail offering paved biking, jogging, walking is literally right out your door. Head north a few miles or be adventuresome and head south 15 miles all the way to Traverse City. Suttons Bay Bikes is located one block south and rents pedal and ebikes for your excursion. Location was great. Very central to everything. Walk into town without problem. Great shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Very close to many wineries. Cottage very clean and comfortable. Mattresses could stand to be switched. Found it concaving in the middle but not terrible to sleep on. Communication was prompt. Would highly recommend for anyone coming to the area. Will definitely plan on returning next time in the area.

Perfect location in Suttons Bay, walking trail right outside the door and marina/beach across the street. The cottage itself is a bit older but was very clean. The best part was being able the walk to everything! If visiting the area in the future, we’ll definitely stay there again!

A simple but clean and comfortable cottage. The host is great. He responded to all messages promptly and followed up immediately. The beds are extremely comfortable and the furniture/layout worked well for our family of four. We appreciated the paper products, soap, cleaning supplies on hand. Plenty of nice thick bath towels and beach towels. The location is super convenient. Not secluded, right in the middle of things. Short walk to bike rental, shops, coffee, several restaurants. Town beach and bike path right outside your door. Fresh peaches for sale a few houses away and a great supermarket and excellent tennis/pickle ball courts 5 min by car. Plus all the area has to offer. Thank you.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at the property. The accommodations were just as advertised with everything that we needed plus more. Loved that we were so close to the places we wanted to visit including relaxing at the beach after a long day of site seeing. I would most definitely recommend this home and would love to come back.

The chief attribute of this cottage is its location and convenience. The beach is across a quiet street, the stores and restaurants begin on the next block, and access to Highway 204 to Leland is is within a half mile from cottage. The cottage is unpretentious but comfortable with two bedrooms and two baths, a living room, and kitchen plus a outside table & chairs in the backyard. The water pressure in one bathroom wasn't great but serviceable. We appreciated the provision of extra paper products, soap, cleaners. The owner was very responsive to inquiries. If you plan to cook while there, stop at a grocery store before reaching Suttons Bay. We were able to purchase basics at Hansen's Market after we arrived. It offers a nice selection but is not a major grocery store. Be sure to stop at Chimaski's Bakery which is walking distance north on the trail for delicious pastries. Breakfast choices are limited but we enjoyed 45 parallel cafe twice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sutton's Bay!

Fantastic place to stay
The listing did not do the cottage justice. It was roomier than we expected. It was walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and close to a bike rental. Right across the street is the beach to swim or just sunbathe.
The cottage was clean and suited our needs very well.

Great stay!
This was the perfect little cottage just a block away from town. Easy access to everything, we would wake up amd spend the morning on the beach then walk into town for lunch. In the afternoons, you could drive the Leelanau Penisula and Sleeping Bear Dunes, Leland, Glen Arbor, or Traverse City were all just 30 to 40 minutes away. The property was well equipped, clean, and ready to go upon check in. It was great and I look forward to staying again.

Everything in town is walkable from the cottage. All the shops and restaurants are very close. If you like to be able to just park your car and walk around, this is a great spot.
The cottage is nicely appointed. You would be comfortable if you had to stay in on a rainy day. The two bedrooms are very large . If you want to cook, everything is there. The dining table is a nice size for a family meal or game night.

Great spot!
A clean, comfortable, spacious 2-bedroom cottage in a prime location — we had a great time. The cottage was right along the Leelanau path and a stone’s throw from the beach with playground. Also only a short walk from all of the shopping. The cottage had plenty of space for us and everything we needed. Maybe only missing a blow dryer, but not a deal breaker. We loved having the rollaway bed in the spare bedroom so the kids did not have to sleep together too. Thanks for the great stay.

Our twin teenage daughters loved having their own room & bathroom to share.

The PERFECT *for us* get away!
