Nestled in Outer Banks, this lovely house for $339 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Nestled within the premier Hatteras Colony oceanside neighborhood with the beach just a short walk away, SALVO STARRY NIGHTS is an exceptional beach cottage filled with thoughtful touches and amenities to help you and your family relax and make memories! When you step inside Salvo Starry Nights, you will discover a spacious and immaculate room with vibrant coastal colors and local art, vaulted ceiling, updated chef's kitchen with stainless steel appliances, comfortable furnishings, and 43" LCD internet television. The master suite features a memory foam King bed and en suite bathroom. In the second bedroom, you will find a Queen bed. The third bedroom has twin bunk beds. A large updated shower-over-tub bathroom is located in the hall, near a convenient laundry station with new washing machine and dryer. This well-appointed, meticulously maintained home has all of the ingredients for your perfect beach experience. For your outdoor living enjoyment, Salvo Starry Nights features three large decks with sweeping views and a lush ground level with wooden patio, grill, secure gear storage, and large outdoor shower. A cargo lift with 1000 lb capacity moves your luggage and provisions up to the main level with effortless ease. Our rocking chairs make it easy to relax and enjoy! NEW for 2023, we upgraded your free WiFi to achieve the maximum possible speeds here on Hatteras Island of up to 500mbs. Our SmartTV now has loads more cable channels! We also added lots more kitchenware along with a robust spice rack to make your vacation cooking easier! We would love for you to select Salvo Starry Nights for your next Hatteras Island getaway! Please note: Part of what makes Hatteras Island so special is that it is a fragile barrier island. My husband and I had a nice stay. The house was nestled back within trees. Very clean and close walk to the beach. Communication was very clear and quick to respond. Very Happy and look forward to going back .

Excellent property nestled in among pines that is aptly named as the star gazing is awesome! The house was very clean and perfect for a small group. Beach access was easy using the nearby boardwalk and the automated lift for bags and groceries was super. We loved it!

Overall, it was a nice place to stay. It has everything we needed and then some. I debated giving 4 stars, but I can tell the owners care about the property. Our two complaints are:
1.) The screened door drags the deck/porch pretty bad. Since it's the main entrance, it's really annoying to enter/exit. You have to lift up on the door handle with decent effort to be able to even operate the door. You can tell from the presence of L-brackets in all four corners that the door has been worked on before, but it definitely needs to be worked on again, or just replaced.
2.) The bedroom and bathroom doors are painted, so they stick to the door jam and are very LOUD when the door opens. This makes it impossible to sneak into the room to come to bed later than your spouse, or to come check on the little ones in the next room while they're sleeping. You can hear the doors open all through the house. It's definitely a nuisance.
Other than those issues, it's a nice place to stay.

We arrived at the home and everything was clean and comfortable. I loved the colors in all the rooms! This home has a lift that brings all your stuff upstairs, which was very helpful! The kitchen had everything you needed to make a nice meal. We brought all of our food for a few days, then headed to the Food Lion for other fresh food. We ate out on the enclosed porch for most meals. We ate at the Froggy Dog in Avon and was very pleased with our meal. We visited lots of places during our trip, including Okracoke, Avon pier, Jeanette’s Pier, Mantao Aquarium and we stopped at beach stop #27 at night to see the Milky Way, which you can also see on the deck of the house!
The path to the beach was very close, along with lots of chairs and beach equipment in the downstairs storage room. There is a outdoor shower which was very helpful when returning from the beach daily.
The beds were very comfortable. The A/C was very comfortable when you spent sometime outside and come inside. It was between 80-90’s during our stay. My favorite was to sit on the deck in the morning with your coffee. So quiet just hearing the birds and occasionally the chickens. We had a really great time there! I just loved staying here for 10 days. I will definitely return next year!

We enjoyed our time at Salvo Starry Nights very much. The proximity to the beach was fantastic. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay! The place lived up to its name as well – we could see the Milky Way from the balcony on clear nights.

It was delightful!! The cleanliness was unmatched and the decorative theme was cozy and inviting. The cargo lift was nice feature too. Our family enjoyed not only the screened in porch but the ground level deck.

Our group of 5 adults enjoyed our stay. The lift made getting our items into the house so easy! It was a short walk to the beach and not far from sound. The screened in porch and outdoor shower were great! We'd stay here again.

Me and my guys come once a year to get on the “Tuna Fever” out of the Oregon Inlet fishing center to chase tuna and whatever else is biting. This was perfect for us. It had a very nice cover fish cleaning area. We also walked down and across the street to access the beach to do some surf fishing. We hit the Wave market for groceries…friendly folks. If you really need a lot of groceries I would recommend one of the larger stores in Nags Head to avoid the higher prices. Overall a great trip and a nice clean place to stay with that incredible small town vibe. If you want that busy congested feel this might not be for you. Cheers! And thanks!

We just finished our first stay at Salvo Starry Nights and it was wonderful. There is literally no down side to renting this house. The welcome guide that we received prior to our stay was incredibly thorough and answered ALL of my questions. I referred back to it several times during the week.
If you are new to Hatteras Island, I highly recommend Waves Market and Deli for sandwiches and groceries in Waves and Uglie Mugs for coffee in Avon.

We had a great time here! Place was clean, cute, and comfortable. Rental process was easy. A nice short walk to the beach. Overall a great spot for a vacay and if you're looking for a nice spot with a small group, definitely book this cottage!

My family and I were extremely pleased with the accommodations. Plenty of room for 2 adults and a teenager. Kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of utensils and spices, and we fixed multiple meals there. The proximity to the beach was great and the uncrowded area was greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.

The property is a short walk away from the beach, the wind was very strong, but it was very enjoyable for me. The beach is very wide and there is alot of bird life with few people. This was end of March, beginning of April. I loved the neighborhood, beautiful homes, well kept properties which were very safe to walk around at night. It was very quiet as well. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped for cooking.whatever you like. I would definitely stay there again.

The owner quickly answered all of my questions prior to arrival which was super helpful. I can tell the home is very carefully maintained. It was super clean and neat with everything thoughtfully laid out and explained in detail. It was just right for my family - close walk to a beautiful beach, everything we needed was provided. Joann was wonderful to deal with and her Welcome Guide provided the best information on all topics for our stay - with pictures and directions! Property clean and well maintained. Screened in porch a bonus and the lift was a blessing! As others have mentioned, if you intend to do serious cooking, bring your own spices, utensils, and specialty cookware.

We had a great time at this house - 3 adults for a week of relaxation and exploring obx for the first time. Super clean in every way.
Pros: screened in porch with rocking chairs and dining table, covered parking, beach butler (lift from ground level to main level for all your stuff!), gentle staircase (steps are not steep) with handrails, easy to get to the beach, a/c works great, ceiling fans, plenty of coffee mugs, great shower water pressure, full size washer and dryer was super handy, luggage racks.
Cons: no ice maker, internet is slow if you are trying to work or use another WiFi device plus watch tv (seems all channels stream, not over cable).

Start to finish, Starry Nights was a great place to stay close to the beach. Super clean, beautiful house but be forewarned there are no extras beyond the necessary(such as kitchen staples, bath soap). The available beach chairs were very much appreciated and used every day. The host was super at communicating with detailed information about the house, area attractions and places to eat. My daughters and I would definitely stay here again if we visit the OBX area in the future. We loved the laid back feeling of the Hatteras Island area away from the crowds.

Love the colors on the wall and the furniture ! Home seems recently renovated as the paint on our walls at home doesn’t look so good ! Love that it came with beds made, towels and hand and dish soap. Clear instructions for things to do in area. We will be back for sure !

Our stay was wonderful. Communication with owner was excellent. House was clean, well appointed and just a few minutes walk to the beach. Weather was perfect.

The cottage was very clean and just a short walk to the beach. It was easy to find and while we wished it a few more kitchen items like a 9x 13 pan and kitchen towels for drying dishes and basics like salt and pepper overall it was very nice.

We enjoyed our stay at Salvo Starry Nights. The house is great - clean, comfortable, and just a short walk from the beach. Joann, the owner, is very helpful and when there was a minor glitch with the keyless lock system, she immediately sent someone to fix it (there is a way to access the house via a key, which she directed us to so we weren't inconvenienced for even a minute!). Overall, a great experience. We hope to be back!

This property was wonderful from start to finish. The booking process was easy. The owner of the property was very informative on things to do in the area, great restaurants etc... She made the check in process very easy to follow. The place was beautiful and had everything you could think of needing when going on vacation. The owner of this property even went above and beyond when our car broke down on the last day of vacation and we were expecting to have to stay for someone to fix it she helped us to find places in the area that could accommodate my family during peak season although her place was already booked. We would definitely stay here again when we decide to return to the outer banks.
