The property was secluded but still close to all the local attractions. When you walk in it’s like being home. The owners had water and snacks a fully furnished kitchen. They had fire wood for the fireplace or outdoor fire pit. The porches were great place to sit and watch for wildlife. They were thoughtful to leave some toiletry supplies if you forgot something at home. Would definitely recommend if you are traveling near the area.

I needed a place to relax and enjoy some silence. This was the perfect place. Although it rained and I couldn't enjoy the porches, the inside was very comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable. The host provide a lot of little extras to make the stay more enjoyable.

Everything was great! The only thing I would say that could use a little improvement would be the shower. The shower itself was nice enough but the water didn’t get very hot. Other than that, everything was excellent!

We really enjoyed a weekend getaway to just getaway and enjoy the outdoors. The weather didn’t cooperate to well but we went to Alabama Museum (excellent) drove around enjoying all the colors and beautiful scenery. Went to Desoto Park.

This was the perfect spot for our bluegrass getaway. We enjoyed our stay very much. This was a delightful little cabin for me and my husband.

My husband and i searched for the perfect cabin for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and certainly found it at the Woodlands. The owners were easy to communicate with and quickly messaged back. In the mornings we were able to sit on the porch while drinking coffee and watch the birds. At night, we sat on the porch swing watching the fireflies. We will definitely be going back soon.

We arrived very late after driving from Atlanta, but Lisa had given us excellent directions. We were very impressed with the cabin - it had everything. Great wi-fi, full kitchen, very comfortable bed, plenty of space, porches & fire pit & other extras that we didn't really get a chance to use. I would highly recommend this wonderful getaway in the most beautiful area of Alabama.

Love this cabin! Short drive or walk to town but surrounded by trees so you feel like you're away from the world! Very comfy bed and everything you need to cook at home if you choose. We loved the big covered porches!

We had a great time. The cabin was to itself but close to everything we needed.
DeSoto Falls and Little River Falls was close by. Also an easy drive to Fort Payne.

The cabin was in a nice and quiet location. I felt like we were home. It was so comfy and relaxing. We were close to Brow Park for the sunset, Desoto State Park for the hiking and Little River Falls in Fort Payne, AL. Thank you Lisa for everything!

Pictures are true but extra touches and little surprises make this spot special. Hosts do a great job with the property, and make it evident that they care about their guests. We made nice memories while there, and the setting was idyllic.

My family and I absolutely loved this cabin! The cabin was amazing, and the area in and around Mentone is beautiful. Mrs. Lisa was very helpful with any and all questions that came up, and the check-in/check-out process couldn't have been any easier. I highly recommend this property. My family and I have already made plans to go back within the next month. We loved it!
