I specifically booked a room described as having a queen bed and fireplace. That was a big part in our choosing this hotel. Was an interesting touch how there was no clerk when we arrived a little after 5pm. Just a note at the desk informing you to look in the basket full of envelopes, finding that with your name on it. Within was your room key and a form to write your basic vehicle info to be left in anither basket. Once in the room we found a note infront of the gas fireplace saying it did not work and not to attempt to use it. It stated this room was noted as not having a working fireplace when booked. "See photo" We looked throughout all correspondence from Hotels.com and even a message sent to us from the hotel itself. Nothing indicating there was not a working fireplace in a room always refered to as having a queen bed and fireplace when reserved and confirmation received. Other than that dispapointment, room was clean and well decorated. Saw no clerk at check out with another basket at the counter to drop keys into. Only staff seen was those setting out the breakfast that morning.

Breakfast was delicious. Bed was great. Jetted tub in room was nice. Sunrise in the morning from the private patio was super. Check in was self-service (the only con in my opinion -- I really like to be greeted and given a few pointers especially in small towns like this)

Exceeded my expectations. Room was clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast option was delicious and the free dvd library in the lobby was a fun bonus. The inn was charming and had so much cozy character. Will for sure stay there again.

I absolutely adored my stay at the Wild Iris Inn. I booked a queen bed with a fireplace, and didn't realize that it also had a large Jacuzzi tub in the room as well. There was also a small balcony with chairs. Everything was clean. The room was modern but without losing the charm of an older building and the personal touch of a non-franchise hotel.
When I went down to breakfast in the morning, the room was bright and cherry, and the staff very helpful. The cold food bar was well-stacked with a good choice of items, and the complimentary hot special was a delicious blueberry French toast with cinnamon strusel. My husband and I immediately made plans to stay here for our upcoming anniversary.

Room was cozy and warm. The jetted tub was fantastic and clean. Tess’s breakfast is fantastic, especially her homemade bread. It was a perfect quick romantic getaway.

We did a random search of places to stay and this place popped up. When we got there it was an easy checkin and they upgraded our room for free since the fireplace in ours had gone out. Excellent service and the breakfast was one of the best breakfast i have ever had at an inn

The jetted tub was large enough for two people. Bed was big and soft. Had complimentary cookies and tea at checkin. Plenty of parking. Near restaurants and grocery store.

The staff was so kind and helpful. The place was beautifully decorated... it felt like a Hallmark Christmas movie. The room was clean, cozy and comfortable. We will definitely come back.

It was a nice stay, lovely property and very friendly staff. It may have just been the bed in our king room, but the mattress was uncomfortable and I've spent the following day very sore and it was difficult to sleep both nights. Also, the gas fireplace is charming, but requires 2 solid raps on the outside of it for it to work. Still a charming property.

The Wild Iris is our go to spot for an overnight stay in the area. The rooms, bedding, linens, etc are clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast and fresh baked goods are much appreciated.

I was very happy with the quiet location that was still easily walkable to the cute shops down by the water. They gave us an early check in & were so genuinely friendly & kind. The room was like the photo- super cozy but bigger than I thought. The private hot tub on the deck was amazing. The breakfast was delicious I just wish I had more stomach room to have tried more of the yummy house-made baking. The directions for the best walk and restaurant recommendations were awesome- you don’t get an experience like this from a big chain hotel. We will return.

This was a delightful charming bed and breakfast. We had a fireplace, a hot tub, and a small balcony in our room. It was clean and peaceful and we would stay there again!

The lady at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. She had so many recommendations of what to see and do in town. The town is very quiet, I didn't hear any traffic from the room at all. The hotel doesn't allow children, which may be a deal breaker for some, but when you have been traveling all day with not much sleep, it was much appreciated to have an uninterrupted good nights sleep. The rooms are a little small but all we needed for a one night stay for two people. Bed was very comfy and TV show options were good. I would definitely stay here again.

The historic building was quite comfortable and our quiet times well under our control within the property. Although mobility handicapped, I found access to our ground floor room was easy with ramp alternative past the few steps at the front entry!

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A CLASSIC BED & BREAKFAST THIS IS NOT IT! I'm actually saddened to post this review because we had stayed at Wild Iris years ago and it was excellent! Recent stay was room #101. The room was not well maintained, the carpeting needs replacing, the room is dark, a temporary portable ventilation unit sits on the floor and is very noisy. The shower was a cheap looking acrylic enclosure with only a plastic shower curtain that wasn't even long enough. The breakfasts were a huge disappointment. Hot breakfast is made on premises but not great and the pastry selections seem to come from somewhere else and come right out of the refrigerator.

The location was close to restaurants and an easy walk to the main part of town. The breakfast was delicious! Service was excellent and the dining room was very clean and pleasant. Very nice staff...very helpful. We're coffee drinkers, and unfortunately the coffee wasn't very good. Our room was very small.
