As stated by another guest I also don't understand why this place is rated ao highly. carpets needing vacuuming. Breakfast was variable - good egg dish and French toast one day, big dry waffle with fruit the other. No offers of a second piece of toast or anything other than what was served. No heating in the dining room. Tv was a 32inch, too small and no cable chanels. Beds very soft. Lacks a welcoming and convivial atmosphere .

Lovely older building renovated as an inn. Very close to downtown. Several nice sitting areas in the building and probably outside if it was warmer. Room was good sized. Internet was good. Bathroom very clean.

We didn't realize it operates as a bed and breakfast and we were unable to stay until breakfast was served. The owner offered muffins and juice but we had to leave before he was able to get it to us.

Breakfast was wonderful. Staff were very courteous and extremely helpful.

Bed (king, room 1) was a bit soft, producng some back discomfort. Odd step up/down into large bathroom a bit difficult to negotiate during the night.

Location was excellent, very close to the main street. Room was nicely appointed and clean. Very accommodating with dietary needs for breakfast. Very nicely presented.

Owner were very nice and helpful and gave great recommendations. Also there is a map with information in the room. House and room is tastefully decorated and room was immaculate clean. Private parking space and very central (only 20 metres) to Main Street. Homecooked, very delicious breakfast in dining room. Highly recommend Inn at Frederick

The hosts were nice, helpful, and made a very good breakfast. Suggestions for what we should do in St Andrews were perfect for us. We enjoyed the Korean dinner offered as an extra, which was a good price, well-presented, and a nice change from the usual maritime fare. The Queen bed was comfortable in the spacious room we had. Wallpaper in the house was over the top and fun! Location was excellent! Overall we really enjoyed our stay despite the little disappointments noted below.

Decor has great potential and needs to be freshened up a bit and excess stuff removed - was a bit of a disappointment, given the cost. e.g. the vinyl lounge/chairs on the 2nd floor hallway area looked like a weird combination of 1970s - nursing home fashion. Room clean and well-stocked except needed somewhere to plug in phones/other devices.

Wonderful location. Family that runs it is very accommodating. Helped me out when I needed to switch dates.
