Oct 2022We enjoyed our stay very much. Sue is not serving breakfast any more so listings should reflect that. Despite the no breakfast, Sue's garden is wonderful and she is an excellent hostess with great tips for local restaurants and things to see in the Northland.
The bed was a bit soft and there was an uncomfortable electrical connector under the covers that I should have inquired about but did not.

Nov 2021The staff always make you feel welcome and I love the lounge in the evening feels like home. In the morning after my breakfast was all set up for me they set up the lounge so I could have an online teams meeting, really nice place to stay .

Apr 2022The place is so well maintained and we liked that there is an atrium where you can have your food eaten with comfort. The Garden was very lush and well maintained by the owner, Sue, and she is very accommodating!
She lovingly pointed us to places we need to visit while in Whangarei and she even led us to an Eel feeding session at the stream on the back of her place 😃

Oct 2022The gardens were fabulous, and Sue was a wonderful host. Could not recommend this place more. Sue gave me a lift and recommendations of what to do in town. She even brought me a bag that I had left under the bed after check out. Waimoana is a lovely place, the room was wonderful and Whangerei is a great place to explore!
The Host is a very nice and interesting Person and her garden is absotely extraordinary

Feb 2022The breakfast was amazing - covered all bases - actually the coffee was amazing too - I meant to ask what brand it was : o) the grounds were superb - and the main hostess was very welcoming, and accommodating - will recommend it to others happily
the bit that didn't meet my expectations was that the bath accessibility was not as the advertising appeared to me - the photo of the bath was very inviting which drew me to book at this place - turns out it actually is the hostesses bathroom and while I was welcomed to utilise the bath (and the setting was soooo nice) I did not feel comfortable to do so again the next night - and that was what my weekends away are about. This is purely my own issue and no reflection against the place - I just feel if the bathroom is not really for the guests then remove it from the advertising.

Oct 2022Sue has beautifully kept gardens to stroll through. Loved the garden art work. Sue clearly loves these gardens and it was a privlage to have the opportunity to Stoll around. High standard of cleaniless. Quiet Comfortable bed. So quiet rural type setting but so close to the shops. Sue is an exceptional host happy to have a chat but allows your privacy. I highly recommend a stay here and say hi to Smiley the dog

Excellent stay in a beautiful, peaceful setting
Mar 2022Room was very comfortable and clean and the ensuite had a great shower - very large and excellent water pressure. The continental breakfast was very good - good selection of food and treats.
Bonus was the location - set in beautiful gardens and the area was thus very peaceful.

Jan 2023Quiet and peaceful. Large gardens beautiful, outside covered terrace (shame about the heavy rain but still lovely sitting out there). Comfortable room and bed. Spotless en-suite.
Sue (the owner) is very accommodating and friendly. Two small dogs quiet & friendly. Safe, way off the road.
Short drive into Whangarei.
No B&B as was advertised on a hotel booking site - I believe a site error in advertising) but free tea, coffee & milk + fridge space. Not a big deal for us.
