I paid for a double room an i didn't get it due to some renovation ....the owner told me he will let us stay in in a different room for the night .....the next day in the afternoon i went and ask him how come he didn't come back an let me know if is word was valid....he start telling some things i dont even understand .....

I didn't like that there was no cable (Netflix etc...) and the bathroom was too near the bed. Also, there was no soap holder inside the shower.

A great place and a great deal for an adventure rest stop.
Jan 2023the owner was very attentive and helpful from the moment we arrived. We drove there so being allowed to park in place, let us enjoy more the stay with no worrying about the car parked out in NYE. The room had a balcony with a great view of the town and the beach.
The bed sheets were rough and the bathroom doesn't have a door, it has a curtain though.
It was noisy but since it was the NYE celebration we understood. The owner was playing music so the place wasn't super quiet but it was compensated by the great playlist the owner played and how respectful he was to stop it later in the night so guests could sleep well.

Dec 2022Use of the kitchen was free and decent amenities in there. Rooms OK, fairly spacious, whole place a little dated, seemed a little nicer in the photos but OK for 1 or 2 nights stay. Location alright, you can walk to the main centre for restaurants.
Rooms werent ready despite arriving after check in time (this seems to be a theme in Jamaica which I was expecting before I even arrived), floors could have been swept a bit better and bathroom was quite small. Water from bathroom tap was barely a trickle but shower was OK.

The owner had a party until late with very loud music. It was difficult to sleep.
There were also some cockroaches in the room.
Overall great experience location allowed me to visit many places of interest as it was easy access

Location is great, close to downtown and route taxis while at the same time in a nice residential area.

Reasonably pleasant but could have been improved.
May 2022Location for proximity to banks, food etc. The host was pleasant, helpful, and accessible. He was also responsive to our needs. Allowed is to experience a lival Jamaican experience, as opposed to a resort.
We did not receive towels, toilet paper etc unless we requested. Not clear if we were expected to bring our own. The wifi and TV were very temperamental. When we did ask the host, he did try to fix the wifi and TV.

May 2022The pictures they have up on there web page is not FinJam cottage it misleading information . The location wasnt as it looks on the web page . Place is under some farm of renovation. The place have no sign to inform you that its the cottage . The view is not good rooms are not comfortable . I would'nt recommend it to anyone .

Apr 2022Great guest house, a mixture between a travelling hostel and guest house... loved the fact we had a balcony and quite but very close to town. Tony the owner is great and we loved its rustic charm.
Could do with serving a good cup of coffee in the am.
Good accommodation for price and very convenient. Other guests were also very kind and considerate.

Feb 2022excellent location - it sits in the peninsula just outside (5 min walk) from the main town, so you’re close to everything but get peace when you need it.
Tony is a nice man, and the place was so cheap!
