Jul 2020The hosts were very nice and their breakfasts were delicious. They have 2 sweet dogs which definitely adds charm. They also have access to the lake so you can take a swim.
The bed was uncomfortable because the mattress was way too soft. This was the room with the mini living room in it.

Aug 2022Perfect location for swimming in Lac Brome, secluded, wooded, access at local boating club launch ramp (much of the rest of lakeside is inaccesible for swimming)The hosts were very helpful and communicative. The breakfasts were creative and delicious. Beautiful house, highly recommended.

loved the location, but the hosts are always most important to me, and they were exceptional.
Sep 2022great homemade breakfasts using local foods. also very helpful and responsible hosts who were will ing to go 2 hours out of their way to get us where we wanted to go. at the last minute they located a new transport service in town, who turned out to be easy, cheap, and attentive to what we needed.

Apr 2021Breakfast was delicious, homemade baked goods, top notch coffee, really fresh and wonderful attention to detail. The house was cozy, friendly feel and the hosts were warm and easy to talk to.
Comfortable stay in a lovely home. But, it was weird to be asked for a tip when it was time to pay.
Sep 2022Beautiful, renovated old house close by a lake entrance (which is private, but can be accessed by foot). We had a very large room, which was nice. The breakfast was very good.
We were surprised to be asked if we wanted to add a tip when it was time to pay and the owner handed us the payment terminal (We did. But adding a percentage on top of the total booking fee is not customary, and we were caught off guard)
The house is located in front of a main road, and there is not a lot of options to walk around (you need a car to move around)
Overall, B&B Hillside offers nice accommodations, great breakfasts ,and friendly hosts.

The shower door needs some attention. It didn't close right and water form the shower sprayed on to the bathroom floor. Also, the door appeared to have black mold at the bottom of it. As an elderly person with balance issues and osteoporosis, I would have felt safer if the shower had been equipped with a few grab bars. The walls of the house are thin and we could hear other guests speaking; this was annoying when we were trying to get to sleep.
