Pelican Reef Villas Resort

We stayed in room #2 and couldn't have been happier about the location, right at the end of the pier. Everything exceeded our expectations, especially the staff!

The only thing I can think of is that the pillows weren't super comfortable, but that's probably just us.

Tristan was a delightful host, and all of the staff made us very comfortable and feeling special. 😀

Mosquitoes

To explain myself when I answered: the price did not match my expectation when I booked our reservation; I meant, the Pelican Reef Villas Resort far exceeded the price we paid. The Pelican Reef Resort is proof: Quality doesn't have to "break the bank". The setting is romantic, it offers privacy, the rooms exceed luxurious, the staff (Tristian, in particular, we will always be in awe of his knowledge and resourcefulness!) never fail to greet you with "Good Morning/Afternoon, Can I help you with something?", all with a big smile. The scenery, from the garden, to the beach, the huge dock, and the Atlantic we enjoyed every morning as we ate a very leasierly breakfast out on the deck (there's always a huge pot of coffee and hot water for tea available all day). We've stayed in a number of resorts, particularly on the west coast of Mexico, and nice though they are, they are far from the quality of Pelican Reef Villa Resort.

My only regret, as a retired couple, is this vacation had to come to an end. For every dark night, there is always day light: There will be another visit coming.

This was our first trip to Belize. Pelican Reef resort was GREAT!! Property is beautiful, clean, and well kept. The service team is friendly, approacheable, and professional. They really went above and beyond. Their team was responsive to my emails and phone calls prior to arrival and then they helped with some last minute tours after we arrived. We had a late arrival and they helped us to get our group of 10 dinner ordered and delivered from town. They negotiated reasonable prices for our tours and transfers. They made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. They even followed up to make sure we arrived at the airport in time for our departure flight. The staff have more than earned my confidence and trust to provide a great foundation for an amazing vacation. Overall, we had an amazing experience. We WILL be returning!!

I wish Pelican Reef could've had a restaurant (for dinner) on the property or the capabilities to provide dinner. There is a book with restaurants and their menus to order and pick up with some delivering. The restaurants do the best they can and typically the wait is long. Pelican Reef does an amazing job with breakfast, lunch and bar....it just would have been super convenient for our group to not have to go into town every night.

The staff is absolutely amazing.

Nothing

The staff and white glove service. It’s like visiting family or friends. Love that it’s a smaller resort where they literally know everyone in your family by name. The free breakfast everyday was fantastic!

Quite a ways from downtown and the road is bumpy.

The room was great, the staff was extremely friendly/helpful, the breakfast that was included was good.

The rooms were very comfortable and had a great view. The staff was amazing they even baked me a cake for my birthday.

It’s pretty far from the downtown area but if you book a tour with the resort you will get picked up on their dock making it very convenient. The area also had a lot of mosquitoes but I also went during high mosquito season.
