Amritara Aura Resort & Spa

Wonderful location in the middle of mandrem valley surrounded by lush green hills. Very close to the beach. The new wing is much nicer than the old.

We arrived at 5pm for check in and one of our rooms was not ready. The manager had a sorry excuse saying the previous guests didnt leave the room but for 12pm checkout going into 5pm there is no excuse. The ‘premium room’ that we booked was in the old wing which was filthy. The walls in the corridor were badly stained and they had an ugly plywood table resting against the wall which they put there because ‘it was raining outside’. There were dirty food plates lying in the corridor causing a bad food smell everywhere. The staff didnt seem like they come from a hospitality background and dont have proper training. To make up for all this they moved us to the new wing which was much better which gave us a much better experience. They call themselves a wellness resort but they have blaring loud horrible music playing all over the property which was a huge disturbance. We told them to turn it off on multiple occasions after which they obliged and finally turned it off.

What an absolutely amazing experience. This luxurious hotel is set in beautifully maintained gardens giving a sense of privacy, peace and tranquility. Our sumptuous large room was well equipped with everything we needed with windows and balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens. The bathroom was an enormous room in itself and a pleasure to be in. All the staff at all levels were wonderful. Attentive, polite, professional in every way. What an absolute treat to stay here.

The only negative for us would be the location. We are without transport and Mandrem and it’s beach have very little to offer. But then again, everything we needed or wanted was at the hotel.

We loved the staff, the overall management of the resort and spa.

I wish the room or pool villa pictures could be more specific. We look at the booking.com pictures to decide and we expect we will get what we see in the images.

Well maintained greenary. The rooms were crisp. The over ambience and experience is memorable. The staff are very hospitable under the leadership of their General Manager Sumitesh.

Everything was good

We liked : Staff were courteous. Very neat and clean property. Spa and Swimming pools. OKish Breakfast. The Villas definitely looked way better than cottages.

What could have been better : 1)Definitely something must be done to the cottages. The Smell is not bearable in a long time 2)Nails in the cottage floor. Our Kid almost got the toe injured hitting a poking nail outside the floor. 3)We were expecting a King/Queen but they have joined two small beds and made it King. 4)The stay ruined my liking towards any cottage property. Im now very sceptical to even consider cottage stay.

very pretty property with beautifully decorated rooms. the gardens are also very well kept.

the pool villa could do with some more plug points, table space and hanging space in the cupboards and bathroom. staff are not very attentive and a general feeling of warm hospitality (which we love about Goa) is absent.

Very friendly staff in the kitchen and at the reception...

Noise - construction site as neighbor; other guests were very noisy - knocking on our door several times during night.

this is a wonderful place. when you live in a house, the feeling that you are in the jungle. Thanks to the trees around, the air is fresh. spa - just space!
