Taj Fort Aguada Resort & Spa, Goa

The staff was excellent and they made sure our stay was comfortable and memorable. Taj sets higher than usual standards and they were the absolute Gold standard here.

The resort is built on the lower side of the Fort Aguada. The breakfast and the service in general was very good. The property is huge and you can use the in-house car pick up to come to the lobby, or go to the nearby Taj Village. One of the best features was that they have a sister property "Taj Holiday Village" that is ~400 metres away, and they have cabs to take you there. You can enjoy the facilities of both the resorts. Chilling in the swimming pool (and getting drinks served there) was so much fun. Taj Aguada is built on a hilly area of sorts, and you have a great view from the top most level. There are peacocks roaming around in the property, which is of course, great. You can go to the Fort area (just 50 metres outside the walls) and enjoy the view of the sea, it feels magical at night in moonlight! The best thing about Taj Aguada is the service across the board - be it during meals, or when you are enjoying in the pool or in the evening when there are live shows. Totally worth paying that price to get here, and allow the Taj folks to pamper you. Loved the experience.

The beach area right next to the Fort was a little dirty. Not a big deal at all, but you would expect the vicinity of such a property to be impeccable. The Taj resort folks can put in extra effort and get that cleaned to make the overall experience even better.

the property is huge, well maintained, spotless. villas, cottages, sea view rooms are aesthetically pleasing. Staff is helpful and always available. Spa is relaxing and wonderful. pool is clean with guards standing all the time kokum restaurant has huge spread of menu and delicious servings. recep staff is always ready to assist you.

The location of the hotel is amazing. Great landscapes all around. The hotel is well constructed and showcases luxury. The staff go above and beyond to make you comfortable and well taken care off.

That I did not get to spend more time there.

The location is very nice. Staff is generally good. The man who checked me in was irresponsible and didn't respond to my queries. The process was also time consuming and boring, to say the least. Restaurants are quite ordinary. Did not try the seafood restaurant.

The rooms are in urgent need of renovation and modernisation. The cupboard is ill designed. Clothes have to be kept in bottom drawers. Lighting needs to improve. Rooms are pretty uninviting.

The restaurant that serves breakfast is very small for the overall capacity - its very crowded during the peak breakfast hours.

Hotel runs full capacity hence waiting times at breakfast .Rooms need refurbishment especially the bathrooms. Some entertainment would have been nice

Room is fine. But the room was on ground floor and therefore, I did not get the sea view. Besides, the drain in shower cubicle was partially choked. During shower, water was getting spilled outside shower zone.

This was by far my best ever trip to Goa in 36 years and I have been to Goa at least 15 times. To start with , a BIG thank you to Preeti from the reservations team for all the assistance, assurance and guidance. We arrived at the property with our 9 month old son and were a bit nervous considering it was his first trip to Goa but the TAJ hospitality experience at other properties gave my wife and me comfort. At the reception we were given a brilliant warm welcome and Aditi, Bhagat, Rucha and Valenco are to thank for that, their helped us and made sure our son felt comfortable. THE VIEW FROM THE LOBBY IS BREATHTAKING, ESPECIALLY THE TWO MINI-LAWNS THAT WATCH OVER THE ARABIAN SEA. We were booked in the Garden View Cottage and the drive up to the cottage was giving me butterflies(I was excited like a baby), the view got better with every meter and the walk is rustic with all the plants around. The cottage was WAY BEYOND what I had expected with our own lawn and hammock. They had already placed a cot with balloons for our son and he had a super time in it. The cottages are huge and comforting, they spell luxury in every inch, the mattress is  extremely comfortable and makes for a cozy nights sleep with the powerful AC blazing. The bathroom is well designed and the bath tub was my favorite area. A cake welcomed us and well it was delicious. Coming to the cleaning and house-keeping, a special mention to Vishal Singh who made sure our room was cleaned no matter what time we asked and every amenity was refilled, at one point I was like "don't spoil me so much". This was by far the best I have every stayed in; the cottages are a little far from the the reception but that is the CHARM of the space, walking on the steps along the uphill trail amidst chirping birds, butterflies and squirrels. Making the stay even more memorable was Abigail and Nupur, these two ladies were alert, warm and hospitable to the other level.

The food at the Fort Aguada was poor... Thankfully the food at the sister property Taj Holiday Village was very good.
