DAS GÄSTEHAUS - Viva la Providenciales von unserem gut ausgestatteten, 1-stöckigen Gästehaus mit 2 Etagen neben dem Long Bay Beach mit Panoramablick auf die Karibik und die Long Bay (ein Paradies für Drachen) Die Villa Kendara wurde von den Eigentümern als ein Zuhause in der Ferne entworfen. Sie nutzt die Lage in vollem Umfang und kombiniert das Thema "Beautiful by Nature" der Turks- und Caicosinseln mit einer Insel, die in erschwinglichem Luxus lebt.
THE LOCALE - Schwimmen und schnorcheln Sie vor dem Grundstück und entspannen Sie sich tagsüber am Pool. Beobachten Sie morgens spektakuläre Sonnenaufgänge und abends Sonnenuntergänge. Privat, aber dennoch günstig zu Geschäften, Restaurants und Aktivitäten, ist die Pension ideal für ein Paar, aber das Doppelbett im Loft und das Daybed im Wohnzimmer ermöglichen es, zusätzliche Gäste zu schlafen. Es ist nicht nötig, außer etwas selbst und ein paar Kleidungsstücke mitzubringen, da es eine Fülle von Vorräten gibt.
ANREISE UND AUSSTATTUNG - Der Zugang zum Gästehaus ist über einen privaten, mit tropischen Pflanzen gesäumten Gehweg möglich. Im Innenbereich können Sie sich im geräumigen, gewölbten Wohnzimmer entspannen. Kochen Sie in der voll ausgestatteten Gourmet-Küche auf Edelstahlgeräten, unterstützt durch viele Kleingeräte und Lebensmittelvorräte. Essen Sie drinnen oder draußen auf dem möblierten Balkon; Entspannen Sie sich bequem im großen Schlafzimmer mit Queensize-Bett und Büro mit mehreren Schubladen. Verwöhnen Sie sich im Ensuite-Badezimmer, das mit einer Sprudelglasdusche, einem mit verschiedenen Kleinigkeiten gefüllten Waschtisch und Spiegelschrank ausgestattet ist. Nutzen Sie die Waschmaschine / Trockner-Kombination (Waschmittel, Bügeleisen, Bügelbrett und Trockengestell). Draußen gibt es unseren 20 Fuß langen, 4 bis 2 Fuß tiefen Pool, einen Grillplatz im Innenhof und Schnorchelausrüstung, tragbare Strandkörbe und einen Sonnenschirm in der Deckbox.
DIE UMGEBUNG - Schwimmen Sie die Buchten und Mangroven auf der rechten Seite unseres Anwesens oder die Korallenköpfe auf der linken Seite, angeln Sie die Untiefen, das Kiteboard oder nehmen Sie am Bootfahren teil. Der Pool ist nur wenige Schritte von der Pension entfernt. Das Wasser ist nur eine Minute vom Pool entfernt und führt über einen kurzen Naturpfad.

Eine kurze Fahrt bringt Sie nach Grace Bay, zum Blue Haven Marina, zu anderen Stränden, zu Restaurants, zu Geschäften, zum Provo Golf Club, zum Casablanca Casino und zu Treffpunkten für Aktivitäten an Land und auf dem Meer. Kiteboarding in Long Bay, wo die Bedingungen das ganze Jahr über nahezu perfekt sind; Kajakfahren in kleinen Buchten in kleinen Buchten oder in der Long Bay; Abspringen der Korallenriffe und Wände; Schnorcheln direkt vor unserem Grundstück. Die Fischer nehmen zur Kenntnis, dass die Untiefen vor den Providenciales von Bonefish wimmeln und das Hochseefischen jenseits des Riffs phänomenal ist. Wer daran interessiert ist die Vermietung kleine Motorboote und Segelboote können ihren eigenen Weg.
INSELPARTNER - Wir haben drei Inselpartner, Grace Bay Car Rentals, Big Blue Unlimited und SUP Provo. Jeder bietet unseren Gästen 10% Rabatt und ist in ihrer Spezialität Spitzen. Wir empfehlen Big Blue für Tauchgänge und Ausflüge zu den äußeren Inseln, wie zum Beispiel die Erkundung von West-Caicos, das Radfahren auf Nord-Caicos und das Höhlenwandern auf Middle Caicos. Wir empfehlen sowohl zum Schnorcheln als auch zum Kajakfahren und Paddeln, je nach Ihren Interessen. Big Blue ist eher sportorientiert, während SUP Provo eher pädagogisch ist. If you don't like to venture out the pool was the most beautiful spot to spend the day. If you do want to go out, beach chairs, umbrella, floats, life vests, etc. are all there for you. Jun 2021What a wonderful place to stay! The property is only about a 20 minute drive from the airport. The guest house has everything you'll need to enjoy your stay and is very nice and cozy. When you walk around to the other side of the house to go to the pool you will be absolutely blown away by the view. We spent many hours in the pool just enjoying the view which seemed to get more beautiful by the day. Off to the left you will see a Tiki Hut out a ways into the sea. If you are adventurous enough you can wade all the way out there from the property, which my wife and I did. There and back. There is also a service that will pick you up directly from the property in the water and take you out there by boat. The # is in the information binders provided by the host (There is a great deal of information and recommendations) It is quiet and serene there.

Jan 2021We've visited Provo several times in the past and have our list of our favorite spots and beaches to visit each year. This home changed all that. A location so perfect, a view so beautiful, that we couldn't bring ourselves to leave it. We would sit and have our morning coffee and watch 30-40 kite surfers take to the water. We joking called it the "rush hour traffic", It's serene - - almost like a ballet as they sail through the turquoise water. As the temperature rose, we'd walk right down to the water and swim for a while, then around low tide, we'd walk to a small reef about 4-5 houses down that had a huge variety of fish and even a lobster. At night, we'd watch the sun set and then moon rise over the water. Provo has amazing places to eat, but we had all our breakfast, nearly all lunches and about 3/4 of our dinners at the home, which saved us a ton of money. The kitchen and BBQ grill made it easy to cook at home. Carol has thought of everything you might need for a great stay. She also has teamed up with some of the best known businesses on the island for specials and discounts for her guests. If you're looking for the perfect piece or paradise, you will not find anything better. Not only do I highly recommend this villa, we've also become repeat guests, already booking our next Provo trip at Carol's. Weiterlesen

Aug 2020We stayed shortly after the island reopened and right after Hurricane Isaias hit. This place is a Dream! The guesthouse is very cozy with a nice sized kitchen so we cooked at home most nights. We spent the majority of our time at the pool overlooking the beautiful turquoise waters. What an amazing view! The property has a walkway down to the ocean and access into the water which was fantastic! The water in front of the house is waist deep for as long as we walked, with a shipwreck 2 miles out, directly in front of the property. We enjoyed they privacy and the location is a Dream! We loved it here and pray that we are able to make it back someday! The pictures on this listing are beautiful and drew us here...but they don’t do it justice. It’s much much more amazing in person! Aug 2021We had an absolute wonderful experience and time staying at Villa Kendara! Carol called us before traveling to make sure we were aware of the new Covid testing requirements and to see if we had any last minute questions. Her friend, Jocelyn, met us to check in and she was so friendly and helpful! There was an issue with the oven and even though my husband and I weren’t going to use the oven, Carol made sure to have her maintenance guy, Bryan, fix it right away and he was just as wonderful. The views at the pool are even better in person! A true 180 degree view of the turquoise ocean. The book and maps they provide was also super super helpful since we had no wifi or gps. We have no complaints and we look forward to staying here again. Thank you Carol!

Dec 2019We had a great week at a Villa Kendara. The view from the pool is nothing short of spectacular. The house is so clean, organized and comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook meals for our family of four. The guidebooks are so helpful and we saw so much more of the island because of them. I don’t know what we would have done without the car guidebook. Communication with Carol was great and Becky was very helpful suggesting a doctor since my daughter forgot her contact lenses at home. Mar 2022We absolutely loved the guest house and the pool and views are unbelievable. Tom & Carol are such gracious hosts and leaving them felt like leaving family. The water is so clear and with views for miles plus the super fun Ocean Tiki Bar that is a must to visit just off the shores. So many great restaurants and the Johnson guide to Provo book is so very helpful as well as all the information you will get from Carol, as we navigate all the Covid updates and requirements. We travel a lot and have gone to many Caribbean spots but this place has our heart. Thank you Carol & Tom for making this trip so magical and special. Nov 2020Villa Kendara was excellent, and the rental experience couldn't have gone much easier. Throughout the process of having to reschedule due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, Carol was excellent to work with. Guest safety and enjoyment has always been a priority (evident by all of the extra work that has gone into details to help guests enjoy their stay), but I also saw the beginning of a thorough disinfecting and cleaning process that was about the happen as we were leaving and before the arrival of the next guests. Mar 2022This was our second year at Villa Kendara and it did not disappoint! The guest house, the infinity pool, watching the kite boarders, and getting to meet the owners Tom & Carol was amazing! We loved diving, snorkeling and traveling around to our favorite beaches and restaurants as well as hanging out in the pool and swimming right out in front of the property! We made it to the floating tiki bar a mile out that you can walk to and enjoyed a few drinks and great food too. We have already booked for next year and cannot wait!!! Aug 2020This was my first time renting a Villa thru VRBO and it was so easy and the most incredible trip I have ever been on in my life. Truly the most magical trip I have been on. Carol is so wonderful and informative to work with. Additionally, she makes you feel so welcomed and really cares that you have a easy stay. Becky is nice making sure you have everything you need. Apr 2019This location is a piece of paradise! The view from the pool was breath taking as well as the view from the balcony on the guest house- great place to enjoy your morning coffee. There is a peaceful breeze that is calming as it passes through the palm trees outside of the windows. Great location peaceful yet close to beaches on the other side of the island - enjoy a beautiful sunrise from the pool and a quick car ride to Sunset Beach to watch the sunset! Also close to the ferry where you can take a ride to close North Caicos (recommend - Pumpkin Bluff and Mudjin Harbor!)The accommodations are comfortable and had everything you could need for a week. Great source of guides and recommendations in neatly presented binders. We wouldn’t have known about some of the adventures we took without the thoughtful guides. Owners Carol and Tom are very considerate of their guests and helpful especially to newbies to the islands of Turks and Caicos. We can’t wait to visit their home again soon! Weiterlesen

Jocelyn was very helpful also! The most equipped VRBO I’ve stayed in, has everything you need plus tons more! It’s cozy, clean & perfect location. Definitely rent a car! Dec 2019Super private and quiet with a view second to none. Minor issues with the pool and wifi were rectified within 24 hrs. Security checks were done a couple of times each night which was comforting to go along with the alarm security system. Use bug spray at the pool deck and balcony!! No See Ums left us with about 100 itchy bites each on lower legs and arms which last for several days. Thank you Carol, we will definitely recommend your property.

The guest house was perfect for our stay; a well appointed kitchen, washer/dryer, outside dining patio not to mention the incredible private pool and panoramic ocean view. A very fun addition to our stay was Captain Oakley’s Tiki Bar, a twenty minute walk out in the water in front of the Villa.. we had lunch and drinks several days at that idealic setting.

May 2019Our recent (mid-April 2019) 1 week stay at the immaculately clean, comfortable and spectacularly set Villa Kendara was like being on another planet. We saw no one...we heard no one...except the soothing sounds of the birds and the ocean just below the refreshing pool. Getting away from the big city buzz and hectic pace this was the perfect tonic. We enjoyed the pool and ocean in the morning or late afternoon and in between were no more than 15 minutes to lovely Grace Bay and wonderful snorkeling. The location offers great access to kayaking, swimming, beach walking, and more.
Also, Carol and Tom are wonderful and provide great insights and suggestions based on your interests.

Mar 2020My husband and I stayed at Villa Kendara March 7th-14th, 2020 and we couldn't be happier with our entire experience. The location is a true paradise with incomparable ocean views and access. The Villa was very clean and charming for the price we paid, we felt it was spot on and had everything we needed to be comfortable and to enjoy our stay. We chose to cook or grill quite a bit at the Villa and we had everything we needed to make what ever we wanted. The grocery store was great and only a few minutes away. It had everything we were looking for and more at a typical island price. We were expecting our food and alcohol cost to be higher, so we're pretty happy about that. We rented a car through Grace Bay Car Rentals and they really took good care of us. Having a car was affordable and enabled us to take advantage of Villa Kendara's perfect location. We were up and down the coast on each side and fell so in love with this island. Carol's guide to Provo helped make our trip the perfect vacation. We knew just where to go, best snorkeling, best beaches, best places to shop, to eat, etc. We wish every vacation came with a guide so complete. Our favorite memory, is thanks to a little reef they recommended we snorkel at, is when we got to swim with a sea turtle in its natural habitat for quite a while. Oh my goodness we were thrilled. Carol and Tom really love this island and their home, what a joy to get to share it with them. They are kind and friendly people that truly just want their guests to enjoy themselves. Apr 2019My husband and I spent 7 wonderful days at Villa Kendara on Long Bay. This was our second trip to Provo and Carol made our experience wonderful from start to finish. First, the location is STUNNING. The views from the pool deck are something I will dream about for years to come. The Villa itself is well stocked with everything you could possibly need for cooking, comfort and day excursions. Carol provided us with many resources and tips that allowed us to explore not only the entire island of Provo, but North and Middle Caicos as well. This was a day trip we will never forget. Renting a car in this location is a must as it allows you to experience all of the pristine and secluded beaches that the island has to offer. Some of our favorites include Sapodilla and Taylor Bay, the Chalk Sound, Malcom Beach, Sunset beach and of course the beautiful Grace Bay beach. We also spend a few afternoons having cocktails at the Shore Club (3 minutes away from the villa) watching the kite surfers. We spent a day diving with Aqua TCI in West Caicos and they were absolutely incredible. Some of our favorite restaurants include Las Brisas (get the coconut crusted snapper tacos!), Somewhere Cafe, Bay Bistro, The Deck at Seven Stars, Coco Bistro. It was great to have a full kitchen which makes it better than staying in a hotel. Dec 2019My husband and I just wrapped up 2 wonderful weeks at Villa Kendara. The location is absolutely perfect. We were looking for a beautiful, serene place and we definitely found it. The Villa is clean, comfortable and is decorated in a delightful beachy vibe. It is well stocked with everything from shampoo and spices to beach gear and towels. There isn’t a single element that has been overlooked. The views are nothing short of spectacular, whether you’re looking out of the windows in the Villa, or spending time by the private pool. We spent some evenings by the pool just taking in the gorgeous sunsets. The ‘Johnson Guide To Provo’ has been lovingly put together to provide for an even better experience on the island. Carol and Becky were so easy to communicate, whether by email or a phone call. We would highly recommend Villa Kendara.

Apr 2021Loved this property. We had a great time. A few things you need to know: This is the guest house of the main property and it's located on top of the garage. You do have to go down the up and down the stairs and walk a few steps to arrive to the pool and full view (as in the pictures). We enjoyed the privacy of not having anyone in the main house, being otherwise it would have been a little uncomfortable to be by the pool and the owners of the house right behind you in their living room per say... There are cameras by the pool for security, which I personally did not mind. The road to get to the house it's not paved (small section of it), I would advise you rent a small SUV for this reason. There is an alarm system because it is required, no need to use it in my opinion, plus it was having issues and was getting deactivated and going off by itself.. The water pressure of the shower was not the best, but that being said everything else about this property is great. It is the last property in that section, so privacy is THE BEST. The view is to die for, there was nothing more relaxing... The binder with recommendations was on point, it helped us a lot. Bed was comfortable, the house had everything you might need to prep meals. Access to the beach is a little rocky, but totally doable. Restaurants closed by, communication with Carol was great, she sent me where to do Covid Testing, I set up the appointment online from my house, once there it took less than 10 minutes. Tiki bar by the house (in the middle of the beach) got too crowded for my taste, but it was different.. the pool was nice, it is windy on that side... we personally did not mind... that's just the way it is...

Aug 2019From the beginning, communication with the property owner was fulsome and responsive. Guidance about the house, directions, do's and don'ts, and things to do were provided by email. The property manager was at the location to greet us and give additional instructions. Moreover, the owner has prepared a large three-ring notebook/binder with guidance on restaurants, sight-seeing, etc. The apartment was clean, well maintained, well-equipped with cooking utensils and even has a good supply stock cooking supplies (spices, condiments and a few items from previous tenants). Several instructional tags were placed around the apartment to foster quick familiarity with its functioning. The house's location, at the end of a dirt road was quiet and isolated from the busier parts of the island, but with a rental car we reached every point on the island. We enjoyed the site's quiet, its privacy, and the lovely pool. In that regard, the apartment is adjacent to the owner's house overlooking the water. So, if the owner is present (not so with us), the pool would be shared. It should be noted that the apartment is accessible only by a long set of stairs. We had two days of rain (not a problem), but it forced us to spend some time inside. We found that the "sofa" (day bed), wicker chairs, and stools at the kitchen island could have provided better back support. Also, the wicker chairs and chaise lounges by the pool need upgraded cushions - after a short while it was almost as uncomfortable as being on a board. Jul 2019Easy check in process, as Becky, met us at the property on time and showed us around. Property was clean and well stocked with amenities that you would need throughout the week. Advise to rent a car, as you will need this to check out the island and all the beaches. Pool area was beautiful and the views were amazing, literally turquiose water for as far as you could see. She will greet you upon arrival and call to check-in a day or two during your stay, then see you on your way out wishing safe travels! Carol will email you updates throughout the week if need be, otherwise, she is silently wishing the best of times as well during your stay at Villa Kendara.
This island is beyond magnificent with so much to do and explore. We would recommend the Villa Kendara over an all-inclusive/hotel every time. The accommodations at the guest house are wonderful. No need to bring any of the basics that you’d think you would need for a “beach” trip because the Johnston’s have covered all bases – snorkeling supplies, beach chairs, sand/pool toys, beach towels, etc.
During our stay, we visited Long Bay Beach (place to go if you want to learn how to kite board, lots of conch piled high to scrounge through, and the home of The Shore Club), Grace Bay (most popular beach on the island), Smith’s Reef (fantastic snorkeling), Sapodilla Bay (personally our top beach pick, food tents and beverages on beach, lots of rental options, and the calmest water)
We ate breakfast and lunch in every day so we could take in the picturesque views of our private oasis! We used the grill a lot and make sure to utilize the blender to mix up island margaritas! Dinners included CocoVan (a one and done for us. Cool concept but overpriced food and very small portions), Bay Bistro (a must do! Get a table on the beach for the extra $50 – surreal experience and beyond romantic), Infiniti Restaurant & Raw Bar (located at Grace Bay Resort, vibrant atmosphere, good service, and perfect for special occasions), Mr. Grouper (a solid locals spot, great food and portion sizes, right past Princess Road), Island Scoops (a must at least 3x on the island – homemade ice cream), Da Conch Shack (live entertainment, fun atmosphere, very popular spot), Fish Fry Thursday (located at Bight Park, vendors, food tents, live concerts, parade)
Activities we did were horseback riding (Unique Tours, take phone for a pic op, nice relaxing trip in the water), Cruise (Caicos Dream Tours, our top activity, included snorkeling, Iguana island, little lunch, and partying).
