Oct 2021Wonderful location near so many of the area's great hiking trails, but tucked away in the woods. Deebie shared some great recommendations and was very responsive to questions and supportive of some internet troubleshooting that greatly improved the ability to work remotely. We thoroughly enjoyed spending sunny days out on the deck and the kitchen was stocked enough for us to do plenty of cooking! Weiterlesen

Jul 2020This was our second winter season renting with the Deebie at Profile Road and we had another great stay. Some improvements to the kitchen & first floor bedroom were completed in 2019/2020 which were much appreciated.
The house great and the location in relation to the mountain and town is hard to beat.
Deebie is extremely personable and very easy to work with.

Aug 2021This property is wonderfully located close to all the area fun. The many hiking trails, horseback riding, small town shopping, and the seasonal skiing. Nestled in the woods but close to the highway you will love the cabin woodsy feel of this home. The house is well suited for a multi- family gathering. The large deck is a great gathering area as well as the fire pit. The newer kitchen appliances were great! The kitchen was stocked with basic pots and pans. The bathrooms were clean and neat. The ping pong table was a favorite. Communication with the owner was simple and responsive.
Some rooms were dated but I would absolutely stay at this location again. Weiterlesen

Aug 2020This location was great for a getaway in the White Mountains. Deebie was great to work with and incredibly communicative and Nate, the property manager, was very helpful in getting us a spare key and offering some ideas for things to do in the area. The property was perfect for our little group. We spent most of our time In the mornings/evenings on the back deck and the days exploring the surrounding towns, hiking trails and local swimming holes. The linens and towels were fresh and clean and the kitchen/dining areas stocked with the basics for cooking/cleaning. The loft was great and offered a nice retreat when anyone wanted some personal time. The windows allow for a great breeze but a box fan on the more humid days was perfect! Jul 2020The biggest selling point is the location. It is a totally private home, can't see it from the road, in eight acres of woods. There is a large deck where you can sit and enjoy the woods and listen to the river which is across the street, and if it rains, you can enjoy the woods from the huge windows in the living room. You can walk down to the river as well and get your feet wet. We even saw a family of black bears in the woods! Don't worry, they were friendly and it was a great experience for the kids.
The home is also right near Franconia Notch State Park which has beautiful and amazing hikes, and we also used it as a base to explore the whole White Mountain area.
The home itself has a rustic feel with unique vintage furniture. It feels like you are stepping back in time to simpler times, except that you also have fast wifi! (We had no cell service in most of NH so this was really helpful.) Some details need fixing such as locks on the master bedroom and bathroom, and the water pressure dropped when using the washer, but Deebie is working on fixing that. Our kids had no issue with the exposed staircase, but there are baby gates if you are concerned.
Deebie is a wonderful and gracious hostess who takes real pride in the home and area. She gave us tons of advice on what to do and see in the area and took real interest in making sure we had a wonderful time. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to explore the spectacular White Mountains. Weiterlesen

Jul 2015My experience renting this property from Ms. Symmes was great from beginning to end. She was consistently prompt in her responses to me about reserving the rental, the details of arrival, our stay, and departure.
The home was clean, quaint (though, not as quaint as the pictures on here would have you believe), and inviting. We took Grandpa, our 3 young sons (ages 4-10), and our family dog and everyone had plenty of space, but not much to worry about in the way of fragile, breakable things. However, the furnishings were all cozy, clean, and comfortably casual.
The cable and media was a little tricky, but on our rainy day, there were plenty of books and games to occupy us while we enjoyed the views from the huge picture windows.
The house got a little warm during the day while the temperatures were in the 70's-80's in the sunshine, but there are lots of screened windows to open to cool the place off in the evening and the windows added a lovely touch to sleeping here. Speaking of sleeping, there were plenty of beds for us to choose from, so when my husband and I realized that the futons in the basement wouldn't suit us, we were able to move to the queen bed upstairs (which is in an awesome little room to the side of the loft that has beautiful ceiling beams) and sleep more comfortably. Grandpa was also very happy with his bedroom, the master on the main level.
I cannot say enough good things about the location of this house, either! We were within 20 minutes of almost everywhere we wanted to go. Littleton is only 15 minutes away, where they offer well-priced 3D movies, a lovely downtown area, and some more common franchises found throughout the US. Lincoln has almost a small college town feel to it, with attractions such as the Hobo Railroad (the 4th of July party train was fun!), Whale's Tail Water Park, and a few restaurants, taverns, and ice cream shoppes open until 10 pm for summer hours. But, BEST OF ALL, we were 10 minutes from the White Mountains, specifically Cannon Mtn, which my family hiked from the top to the bottom and we got to reminisce about it every time we saw it from our deck at this rental property! We did not get a chance to hike the Ridge Trail on Mount Lafayette or go to Echo Beach Lake, but we will get to those next time around!

Aug 2020lovely house private setting. So it is OK if your dog barks once in a while. Friendly property manager with great knowledge of the area who shows up quick if problems arise.
We had a thunderstorm knock down a small tree. No big deal and I told him so but the next morning he showed up and the tree was gone. Awesome fire pit area on a cement pad. We spent many nights there. The appliances are brand new! Charcoal grill available. Only slight at all is the living room furniture is old and low and somewhat uncomfortable. Super wifi throughout the house. Gorgeous deck along the house. You will occasionally hear traffic. We went during bike week and you will hear an occasional loud bike. Not bad though. But a super house and stay!

Aug 2019If you're looking for a place to stay in Franconia that is comfortable for family and friends while providing a great location, this is your house! I recently stayed here for five nights to attend a local race and enjoy all the great beauties that the White Mountains have to offer. Being right down the street from Cannon and just north of the national forest, the location is excellent.
Traveling with me was family and friends. The house was great and provided bathrooms for each group as well was privacy but also group space to spend time together. The yard is nice and private while also providing an excellent deck to enjoy the outdoors. Can't really beat a cup of joe on the deck to start your day!
Lastly, Deebie is an excellent host. Very responsive and helpful from check-in to check-out to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible. My family and I loved the house and appreciate you sharing your home with us, thank you Deebie!

Jul 2019Deebie was wonderful to work with. She got back to me right away with any questions I had and gave us lots of good places to see in the area. Her home is more beautiful than the pictures show. She has everything there to make your stay comfortable. Especially the hammock on the deck was a big hit. The home is much bigger than it seems in the pictures also. The downstairs can fit a whole family. 2 double beds and a single. Plus a mattress that you can put anywhere. We were very entertained with the ping pong table. It was a nice touch. The third floor is a great little nook for those who like it quiet. You can fit a family of five up there also. One double bed and 3 singles. And of course the main floor is huge. It has the master bedroom, with double living room, kitchen and dining room. Sliding glass doors out to a beautiful wrap around deck. All 3 floors has it's own bathrooms with showers! I can't say enough about this home. I will definitely go back. Next time, I will request cable because I am a little bit of a TV buff but we brought our fire stick so I was ok lol. Also, we had our two little dogs and we didn't need to put them on a leash because the yard was so big and wooded. It is literally off the highway in the best spot you can imagine.
