Es befindet sich in der ländlichen Gegend von North Stamford, direkt an der Grenze zu Greenwich. Es wurde 1869 erbaut (es gibt einen Anhängerkupplungspfosten vor dem Haus) und vor kurzem zweimal mit einem Wintergarten mit Holzofen, einem großen Spielzimmer mit Spielzeug sowie einer Master-Suite und einer Badewanne aktualisiert. Es hat 3.880 Quadratfuß. Es gibt 4 Schlafzimmer, 4 Badezimmer, 2 mit Wannen.

Es gibt einen großen Garten. Am anderen Ende des Hofes befindet sich ein Teich und eine Steinterrasse. Im Frühjahr und Sommer gibt es im Teich Frösche und gelegentlich Schildkröten.
Das Spielzimmer ist groß, sonnig und mit Spielzeug ausgestattet, mit dem Kinder gerne spielen können.

Die Nachbarschaft ist bukolisch und ländlich. Es gibt eine Pferdefarm in der Nähe, eine kurvenreiche Straße hinunter. Der bewaldete Mianus River Park mit seinen schönen Wanderwegen entlang des Flusses liegt 3 Fahrminuten vom Haus entfernt und eignet sich hervorragend zum Joggen, Wandern, Mountainbiken oder Spazierengehen mit Hunden (oder Kindern!). Das Haus verfügt über eine gute Anbindung an den Merritt Parkway (Route 15), sodass Sie bequem nach NYC oder in das nahe gelegene Greenwich, CT gelangen. Einkaufen in der trendigen Greenwich Ave. (Saks, Tiffany, J. Crew, etc.) ist 15-20 Minuten entfernt. Der Bahnhof Stamford liegt etwa 15 bis 20 Minuten vom Haus entfernt und es fahren viele Züge in die 1 Stunde entfernte New Yorker Grand Central Station.

Deirdre was so accommodating and quick to respond to any questions I had. My mom fell in love with their master bedroom. Very quiet and lovely neighborhood. Apr 2019We stayed here for s long weekend as a family member was getting married - loved the home immediately! When we arrived, our three children were immediately drawn to the play room and enjoyed it our entire stay. The home is very comfortable, as well as beautiful!

Aug 2020We had a wonderful time at this property with plenty to enjoy! The light in the home is amazing and, as a photographer, was the first thing I noticed. We spent many hours in the backyard running through the sprinkler, on the tire swing, watching and waiting for critters to show themselves. We took daily walks together and enjoyed a lot of the wonderful restaurants in Stamford and Greenwich. On our last day we played a family game of hide and seek which was so much fun! Jun 2021We could not have asked for more. The house is so roomy and charming. My kids wanted for nothing, they each had their own room, a playroom and a stocked garage.
The house was fully stocked with everything you could ask for from kitchen wear to cleaning and bathroom products. This will be out first stop if we need a place to stay in Connecticut again.

Nov 2021We absolutely loved our stay at this home and would definitely stay again. It was the perfect home for the large extended family to stay together. There is so much natural light and open space so that it was easy to enjoy company, but also to be able to find quiet away from the group. The playroom was perfect for our five year old, as was the beautiful yard with tire swing. The adults all enjoyed selecting books off of the full shelves. There was something for everyone. The large dining table was perfect for family meals. We found the house very clean and in an excellent location. Communication with the owners was seamless and easy. Sep 2018Very much enjoyed our stay at this property. Deirdre was very responsive to any questions I had. The kids playroom was amazing and kept my 3 year old very occupied!! So many toys, a train set, books...you name it. The house itself was very warm and comfortable. You can tell it has been lived in, and does not put off that sterile vibe. It is inviting. Everything we needed was there...pack and play, all kitchen utensils, soaps and shampoo, etc. If you are looking for a comfortable home close to Stamford and only an hour to NYC by train, this is it. Aug 2019This house is one of the best and most charming stay's we've had. The house, furnishings and amenities were perfect, the books, records and various personal items made this feel like a stay at an old friends house. The location is good, we visited Manhattan, which was about a 2 hour drive, it was great to come back home to a quiet neighborhood and a large secluded yard. It was an easy drive to nearby grocery stores. The neighbors next door were friendly and always waved at us. I really can't think of any negatives, we stayed with a group of 9 spanning 3 generations and we each found comfort and fun in the house and all had plenty of space and comfortable beds. Weiterlesen

Jan 2020This home is great for an extended family - the layout allows privacy between bedrooms and offers plenty of different places to relax, chat with others, or have a reading spot to yourself. The house feels like a home rather than a rental, with certain supplies in the kitchen (such as tea and coffee, nice silverware, great coffee mugs), hand soap already in all the bathrooms, premium TV channels, throw blankets, etc. There were many nice touches. May 2020The house is lovely. Lots of space, a huge yard, kid-friendly and comfortable. My kids really enjoyed the playroom and the huge yard and pond. My husband and I are runners and there was beautiful space, woodsy streets and awesome trails for that nearby.
The home owners couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful. All questions were answered immediately and every little detail was thoroughly considered.

Dierdre's property is tasteful, very clean, and spacious, it is even better and more spacious that the pictures. We were a family of 8 who decided to spend our Christmas vacation here and once we entered the house, we got amazed with the feel of the house and taste of owners in decorating the place in a way that you feel home and comfortable. Deirdre was also very responsive and kind whenever I had a question and generous with letting the guests use everything at their home.
