Apr 2022We've stayed before. We love the remoteness. The bach is comfortable and basic. We could not get the TV to work. My cellphone coverage and data were fine. You can see the sea from your bed!

Sep 2022We understood that we would be ten minutes from Castle Point but it was just over 20 minutes and the online listing didn't say anything about the quality of the road. Great location though
The smoke alarm battery went flat and the owner came out very quickly with new batteries and this was appreciated.
The log burner kept us lovely and warm.

May 2022We loved renting this spot - the view is unreal, with the most beautiful sunrises. It has a well-equipped kitchen (though bring something to make coffee in and some candles for atmosphere). It was very basic, as shown, but had lots of firewood and all we needed for a relaxing, cozy trip. We will book again.

Jun 2022We loved it. It's a cute little house, great fireplace. It's a rocky stretch of Mataikona, but a short drive to sandy beach. Not incredibly clean, avoid if alergies, but we never the less really enjoyed our stay.

Jan 2022We had a lovely stay. This is a very simple but comfortable bach. Not a swimming beach but good for rock pool exploring. Comfortable beds. The house could do with a spring clean, but its mid summer season now, so perhaps it has been too busy. Definitely bring all your linen.

We wanted a get-a-way and that is what we got. The only downside for us was we felt there was a need for a good deep clean. This would mean it would be easier to leave clean and tidy. Thank you for making your bach available.

Sep 2022We couldn’t get enough of our home of 3 days … it was prefect. The cleanliness was adaptable, it was us and we felt right at home so we thought it was immaculate…don’t change a thing. My father in law is from Tinui and it’s been 25 years since he’s been back those ways so we took him back for his 70th birthday and created some beautiful memories … the only thing I fault which has nothing to do with the batch … is the road coming over the hill is so scary! Luckily my father in law is a pro driver and drove over it each time. All in all, we’re already planning on coming back next Easter for the king tides. The best batch in town! 11/10

Oct 2022Very cute little NZ bach. Easy to find, right by the beach and a view of the beach from the lounge and master bedroom. This Bach has everything you might need and a fire that heats the whole Bach very fast with loads of dry firewood. Highly recommend, perfect location if you like to dive for Paua and crays.

Dec 2020Thoroughly enjoyed our stay . The spot was perfect , especially for diving we could just go across the road. Apart from no washing machine we loved our time here and we'll definitely be back in the new year .

Dec 2021This was a great get away for our little family of 4. The location is awesome with a variety of long beaches, rocky pools and lagoons to play in, unfortunately the wind was blowing most of the days. The house has a typical rural beach feel, nothing too flashy but perfect for what we needed. The bedding and linen could do with an upgrade. The owners of the house was wonderful and accommodating.
