Sep 2022We really enjoyed our stay. Check-in and check out were easy. The property was clean and has amenities for your stay. I especially enjoyed the kayaks and the paddle boat. The friendly host was very accommodating.

Oct 2022This cottage is cute and cozy! View of the lake is picture perfect. Fall colors were in full show and the ducks are always looking for something to eat. We wished we could have used the canoe or kayaks that are provided, but our weather while there did not coperate.
Debra was a very responsive host, she was quick to answer our texts. Loved this place!

Sep 2022this cottage has the BEST amenities included. kayaks, canoe, paddle boat, row boat, lily pad, and so many floats/tubes. it had a beautiful hammock, a shaded outdoor eating area, a swing, and lots of board games included. the kitchen was fully stocked so we didn’t need to bring anything in that sense. we took walks around the roads and cottage and it was beautiful scenery.
this cute cottage was booked for a girls getaway. there was 3 of us and it was listed as a 3 bedroom. i would say it’s a 2 bedroom as there’s only 3 real beds (top & bottom bunk in one room and a queen in the second room). the third bedroom was small, almost like a transitioned closet. no matter for us. there was a pull out couch and a trolley but we did not have the space to pull out. i know it says it can sleep more, but i would not be able to fit more than 3 comfortably. all in all, i would highly recommend this cottage, in fact i have to friends and family.

Oct 2020The property was in excellent condition and very clean; however, the bathtub/shower is showing its age. Debra was very easy to deal with and responded quickly to any questions we had both before, and during our stay. The fireplace was great to take care of the chill in the early October mornings and late evenings.. Despite the ongoing pandemic, we enjoyed several day trips to take in the brilliant fall colours and some takeout for lunch. There were a couple of restaurants that were well reviewed just south of the cottage which we decided not to try due to the COVID restrictions and the fact we are seniors and considered part of the high risk population. We had hoped to get in some fishing at the cottage, unfortunately the water level in the lake appeared to be very low so fishing from the dock was not really an option and both the row boat and paddle boat were not useable as they both were too full of water. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would book again if we were looking for a cottage in the area and would definitely try the above mentioned restaurants. Garry & Karen, Dundas, ON

Jun 2022Some properties make promises; this one delivers! Picture every amenity you could want in a cottage property; dock, ability to swim freely, fire pit, screened in gazebo, kayaks, canoe, paddle boat and gorgeous landscape. Then, picture any amenity you want in a house; beds, tv, any dish or kitchen gadget you could think of and games and goodies we didn’t even have time to enjoy! And lastly, think of fun little day trips and gorgeous scenery. This rental has it all.
We ate all our meals in the screened in gazebo and loved the gas bbq where you didn’t need to worry it might run out of propane mid steak 😳
It was a gorgeous week at a gorgeous place. Thank you! For those reading and wondering if you should rent here - yes is the answer.

Sep 2021My friend and I enjoyed a weekend getaway with our teen sons. Echoing previous reviews -- Debra's cottage is spotless and comfortable, and makes relaxation easy! It was well-stocked with all cookware and dishes you need, water toys for sunny times, and plenty of games and movies for rainy times! I would highlight local things to do and see just a short drive away (under 30 min) -- Boshkung Brewery/Social for great craft beer and delicious (gourmet) takeout, Buttermilk Falls, Haliburton Forest (this weekend we took the Husky Kennel Tour and Husky Hike!). A+

Jun 2021I've stayed with my mom at the property for almost 2 weeks. Beautiful location. It's a little close to the road with some light traffic through the day, however that's more of a convenience, and some security aspect if you are vacationing in a small group of women.
Debbie and her husband were extremely attentive to our questions and concerns. Both were available through our stay if assistance was required.
We were fortunate with the weather and have enjoyed all of the features available to us. The place is perfect for a small family and friends gathering. Due to the regional ban on the fires during this period we were unable to enjoy marshmallows on the fire, other than that and a few rainy days our vacation was very relaxing.
Having wifi allowed me to do some work while enjoying the view.
Should you decide to stay here you will have great opportunities for fishing and kayaking (my personal favorite). Don't forget to make a short trip to the infamous Kawartha Ice Cream spot 😉.

Keep in mind:
- 3rd bedroom is closet size. But the other 2 bedrooms were fine.
- have to drive 30 min to dump your garbage!
- no pillows and blankets
- no coffee. There were two machines but no. coffee or pods provided.
- no toiletries. Bring your shampoo and body wash

Dec 2020Great stay, the cottage is in a great spot, and had everything you needed. Would recommend and would book it again. The only negative thing I have to say is that I think the cleaning is expected from the renters therefore I did find the cottage to not be spotless. There is a long list for check out cleaning but things like under the bed, and some of the dishes were not clean. We also found a pair of underwear in the bed. Lastly some of the cookware needs to be replaced. The cookie sheet and some pans are in rough shape, they have had food burnt on them beyond repair. Also note that the beds aren’t that comfortable. But lots of room for people which is great! With all the above, it was great stay and I would go back again and would recommend it. The owner was very easy to communicate with and was more than accommodating.

May 2022A wonderful experience overall. The cottage (inside and outside) has everything you could possibly need. Loved the zero- gravity chairs and the gazeebo which came in handy in the rain. The cottage is next to a marsh which has cottage loud noises from crickets and frogs which was the only drawback. Debra was great to work with.
