Versteckte Gem Cabana mit großem Pool / privaten Dock-Beach Zugang

Writing this review at the airport while wiping away the tears because we have to go back to the states. Caye Caulker is a magical place that I once visited for the day while on a cruise and thought one day we need to spend a week here and we were not disappointed. Hidden Gem was on the south side of island by the airport in a very quiet neighborhood. The planes came and went sunup to sundown only so the noise was not an issue. The golf cart taxi was waiting for us at the dock when we arrived from the mainland. Check in took 3 min. You can walk the entire length of the island in 20 min. We didn’t even rent bikes but the place had them available for rent. Hidden gem was very nice and well taken care of. We really have nothing bad to say about anything. 5 gallon drinking water waiting for us. The pool was nice but got little sun. The dock was beautiful and plenty of chairs to soak in the sun and watch the pelicans fish. We went to San Pedro for the day and we were so thankful we were staying on caye caulker instead. Better in every single way. Covid testing on the beach the day before departure without any issues. Highly recommend the island and the property if you need a week away from Covid and life.

Wow...where to start. This was our first trip to Caye Caulker or Belize in general. It is BEAUTIFUL. The Hidden Gem is located on the "quiet" end of the island near the airport, but we rarely heard any flights coming or going. When we did hear them, we were outside enjoying the sight of the little planes overhead. Michael arranged for a golf cart to pick us up from the water taxi, and someone was there to help us with bikes within minutes of our arrival. Everyone was so friendly and so helpful. We had a small issue with one of the bike locks and Ceci was on top of it. We even ran into the golf cart driver, Gustavo, the day before our departure, and he offered to pick us up to get us to the water taxi bright and early the next day! The house itself was immaculate and one of the few places with a pool. We shared it with the neighbors a couple of times but it was plenty big for everyone...even with our two sons. They loved their room in the loft, which was perfect for 2 kids. The house is fully equipped to do any cooking you need, and we found several grocery stores on the island. Although, I would encourage everyone to try to local cuisine. You can't go wrong. We loved Fry Jack's, The Crepery, Rainbow Bar & Grill, Dee & D's and Ill Pellicano...all fantastic! We went back to the mainland for cavetubing and the Altun Ha Mayan ruins which was very interesting. Cavetubing was a family favorite! We would go again in a heartbeat. We also booked a full day sailing/snorkeling tour through Ragamuffin Tours and we were NOT disappointed. They were incredible! I honestly have zero complaints about The Hidden Gem. I noticed others grumbling about the shower, but it was always warm with good pressure when we were there. As for Caye Caulker itself, it is such a wonderful place. However, if you're looking for luxury you won't find it here. It's mostly small hotels and rentals which is exactly what we wanted. Keep in mind it is HOT, and the only A/C we encountered on the island was in the house and in the one "touristy" souvenir shop. If nothing else, bring sunscreen and bug spray! It's a vacation my family and I will never forget. Thank you, Debbie, Michael, Ceci, Gustavo and everyone else who helped us. We are truly grateful and cannot wait to return!

We stayed here for a week and it was the perfect accommodations for our needs. Clean and comfortable and away from the busy strip. We enjoyed having the pool in our backyard. We rented bikes as our means of transportation. You really don't need anything more than that. The island is about a mile in length and Hidden Gen is at one end and the Split at the other. I enjoyed running each morning back and forth and working out by the beautiful pool. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't like was climbing the ladder everyday since I slept in the loft. Overall, I would most definitely stay here again. Just so you all will know Caye Caulker is not a fancy place. There are no resorts here. You are getting the beach bum life experience without having to sacrifice comfort and cleanliness by staying at Hidden Gen. The food on the island is very good and at a good price. Drinks too are at a good price. Visit Koko King Beach, it's a great swimming beach with a bar and grill and good music. Lots to do there. The room was super clean and the pool was nice. Be alert with the mosquito and sand fly around the pool. They can be vicious depending the time of the day. The property manager Nazle was very helpful and picked us up from the airport. Overall we enjoyed our staying and the island. Thanks

We really enjoyed the house and the privacy it offered. The washing machine and drying line position right off the porch deck was awesome! Everything was perfect!

We loved our stay. From bikes for transport, to the pool for quick dips, to the nicely appointed kitchen and comfortable sleeping arrangements, it was just what we needed to relax and enjoy Caye Caulker. The management was wonderful too, and helped out with everything we needed. Thanks!
