Jan 2011What a lovely experience! This sparkling clean cottage was charming, comfortable, and so convenient to all of the wonderful beaches and restaurants. Indoor and outdoor showers, Air conditioning, cute functional kitchen with everything you need, (even an outdoor grill. and picnic table.), are just some of the amenities. You can walk or bicycle to the beach - The town is quaint with friendly keepers and wonderful things to purchase. I felt more like a resident! The Christmas Tree shop is a must as well as the T-Shirt and Sweat shirt shops. SO many quality items at ridiculously low prices.
SO much to do - you can rent bicycles and go for miles on a paved bicycle route! Of course the beaches are the most scenic in the world, The restaurants are exceptional- The owner of this cottage is friendly, accommodating and treats you like a member of her family.
You will be pleasantly surprised if you stay here. I will be back soon. Weiterlesen

Aug 2019We were two adults and a young teen child, house was a good size for us. It was clean, and decorated in a beach house fashion. About teo miles from Nauset beach (beautiful beach) , close by amenities, it was perfect.
The neighbourhood was quiet, the yard is private enough for using the BBQ, eating outside,
Orleans was perfectly situated in the middle of the cape giving easy access to Hyannis or P-Town.
I would use the property again, if I return to the cape.

Jan 2011We loved our stay at "Sweet Pea" cottage, located near Nauset Beach in the heart of Orleans, Cape Cod. This sparkling clean cottage was decorated so beautifully as well as functionally, Everything you need, including indoor and outdoor showers, picnic table and grill, TV, loads of great books, comfortable beds, and everything you need in the delightful kitchen.
Now, there are tons of things to do- the beaches are the most beautiful in the world and the food in the restaurants is nothing you can get at home. A walk or bike ride to Nauset Beach, or if you prefer the bay, it is a beautiful alternative. Warm and peaceful.
You’ll find the town is quaint with friendly shopkeepers and many unique items. A must is the Christmas Tree Shop. It's a shopping experience. Don't miss the T-Shirt and Sweatshirt store. The quality and prices are unbelievable.
Bike ride the miles of paved RR Tracks made just for Bikes. Your ride will take you along scenic beaches and beautiful views. Providence Town is a must, if you have the time. Whale watches and more quaint ships and restaurants.
The owner is a delight. She is friendly and willing to please. I felt like I was a member of her family.

Sep 2012We just finished a lovely week at this cottage. It is like others said very spacious for its size. As a family with 2 young children, it was perfect to have a home to go back to everyday, especially one with a nice yard for the kids to run in. We loved how close this was to Nauset Beach and a short drive to the National Seashore. The town is also charming.
The kitchen was stocked with all you would need to cook simple meals. The bathroom was newly remodeled and very cute and having a washer and dryer was fantastic! The cottage was clean and inviting. The outdoor shower was also great when we returned sandy from the beach. We also enjoyed sitting out under the stars and seeing a fantastic view of the Milky Way!
We would definitely go back to this cottage if we find ourselves in the Cape again.

Sep 2020We had a great stay at this little cottage. it is in a great location in Orleans; on a private road very close to beaches. We had some concerns when booking during these times of Covid, but the house was very clean and felt very safe. The cottage is very tastefully decorated and we had a great time.
There are two things that you should know going in:
1. The bathroom is a bit tight. Large people may have difficulty.
2. The queen bed bedroom door does not close because the bed blocks it. This was not an problem for us because there were just two of us. If we had our kids with us, there would have been a privacy issue.
Other than that, this was a great place to stay; and I would reccommend it. Weiterlesen

Aug 2020We enjoyed our stay at Dolores’s cottage. It was clean, ready for check in as stated and the perfect size for our family of 3. We could have easily fit one more child too. The location is great for a visit to several Cape beaches. The outdoor shower is wonderful- with hot water too! Having a washer/dryer was very helpful too. Aug 2014This cute and authentically decorated cape cottage is just right for a couple or small family. It has everything you need to enjoy the cape to it's fullest-beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, etc, central location to town and the beach, a nice outside dining option and you can walk a mile to the beach. The owner really cares about attention to detail and provides a great book with suggestions of places to eat and things to do. The suggestions we tried were all spot on. Biking is great on the trail nearby, the local stores have great food selections. The cottage was very clean and had all elements advertised-including small items like salt, coffee filters, laundry soap, etc. The owner provides us excellent service in answering any questions and facilitating our stay.
Joe's Bar, the Nauset fish market were great! Nauset beach is really nice but some logistics are required to get a parking place if you need to bring more than a few items. I would definitely return and would recommend it tommy family and friends. Weiterlesen

Jan 2011This cottage is not what we expected: the new beds were terrible, very uncomfortable, so forget sleeping in on vacation. There is no storage in either bedroom so plan on living out of your suitcase. There has to be an ouside shower because the indoor bathroom is tiny, don't plan on getting ready at the vanity b/c there isn't one, its a sink on the wall with no counter. The living room has seating for 4, but the loveseat sofa is very uncomfortable. The kitchen and dining area are very nice and well equipped, dishwash & washer & dryer,. There is a window AC in the living room but don't expect it to handle the bedrooms, so hopefully its not too hot. We brought bikes but the bike-ride to Nauset was too far, so we ended up buying a week beach pass. I would have to say the uncomfortable beds are the worst thing, especially b/c the owner says they are new, they maybe new but they are awful. If the beds were replaced I'd give this an "Average" rating and recommend for "Age 55+" or "Adventure Seekers", but just two people. Hated giving a bad review but wanted to be honest. Sorry. Feb 2015This Cottage is just what the doctor ordered for some R&R. The owner is extremely welcoming - made sure everything was in order and even gave us some treats upon our arrival! Cottage is very clean and cozy. The location is perfect - private, near Nauset beach and not far from the center of town. Orleans also has a local theatre and shopping. The Sweet Peat cottage has an accommodating kitchen - we cooked breakfast every morning - but you could even make dinner if you prefer. Weather is a little chilly in October, but there's plenty to do in Cape Cod even if the weather makes swimming not an option. Biking to lighthouse beach is a "must" if you like biking, or even driving there. We also biked past some para-sailers and saw some seals. There are lakes nearby that offer warmer water (than the ocean). We wanted to go to P-town but there was so much to do we didn't have the chance. Next time! We definitely recommend this cottage to anyone who likes the beach, biking, antiquing and all of the other outdoor activities Orleans has to offer! Weiterlesen

Sep 2009This cottage close to Nauset Beach had everything one would need for a relaxing Cape Cod vacation. Though the cottage was small, especially the bathroom, it was cozy for us, a couple in our 50's. The cottage was clean and neat and just as described on the website. We were happy to be just a couples of miles from the Cape Cod Bike Trail, where we rode our bikes for 3 out of the 7 days. Orleans has good restaurants, an ocean beach and a bay beach, and plenty of shops and grocery stores. This property would be best for one couple or a family with small children. Weiterlesen

Jul 2019The cottage was perfect for me. It is decorated adorably in beach pastels. It’s a mile to nauset beach. Short drive to yoga studio and nauset farms market. I used the outdoor shower every day. Owner had beach chairs and umbrella for use on the beach. The yard is very private. Owner was readily available and easy to communicate with. Sep 2015The cottage was an absolute delight and exceeded our expectations...just a mile from our favorite beach at Nauset. The outdoor shower was fantastic, especially after a day of swimming or biking. In fact we never used the indoor shower at all during our 7 day stay. Our favorite restaurants were just a short drive and our daily ritual of watching sunsets at Rock Harbor or First Encounter Beach were an added convenience. The warm, private, cozy yet spacious cottage is well appointed with all the amenities you would desire, including a washer dryer and is tastefully decorated in the Cape Cod/Beach décor. Delores was a delight and is vested in insuring your stay at "Sweet Pea" meets your expectations. We will be returning next year but for 2 weeks as 1 week just wasn't enough! Wonderful!!

Feb 2013SInce I rented this from the internet, I did not know what to expect! From the first view when I opened the door, I was greeted by a large bunch of "Sweet Pea Flowers" compliments of the LandLady. She was sweet on the telephone, but you never know until you complete your stay. Dolores was SOOO accommodating and thoughtful.
It's was so nice to stay in your own little house instead of a hotel. It is adorable and so BEECHEY. Clean, full of things that make it comfortable so that you don't have to run out every 5 minutes. Not that stores are far. You are right in the center of all the beeches, shops, bicycle trails and fabulous restaurants. If you want to eat in, there is everything youi need (including a grill!)
Sea food is like no other. There is an incredible fish store that is reasonable and I swear, they go out and catch the fish (and lobsters) the same day!!
I want to be selfish and keep this little secret to myself, but I must share my experience with others.
I will make this a yearly trip but next year, I will stay longer. I love Cape Cod, it makes you feel like you are in another world. Oh yes, you must make some day trips to P-Town, Nantucket, MArtha's Vinyard, if you can tear yourself away from the tranquility of your little nest in the cabin.

Aug 2019My wife and I recently stayed at this wonderful beach cottage in Orleans. We could not have been happier with our choice. It was clean, upgraded and perfectly decorated for Cape Cod. The cottage was ideally located down the street from Nauset Beach in a quiet neighborhood with privacy when we sat outside. We had a short easy drive to the most beautiful beaches on the National Seashore or even the Dennis beaches for a change . If you are a frequent Cape Cod renter or a first-time visitor to the Cape this cottage will be a perfect choice for your visit to Cape Cod. Weiterlesen

Sep 2021My sister and I had a delightful stay at Sweet Pea. The cottage is well appointed and roomier than expected, on a very quiet lane. We enjoyed Nauset, with its glorious sunrise and moonrise. The sunset at Sacket is not to be missed. We explored the mid Cape and up to P'Town, as well as many of the bay side areas. An adventure at every turn. We hope be back in a year or so! Weiterlesen
