Oct 2017What a beautiful spot! Nestled in the redwoods, just a few blocks away from downtown fairfax and a few steps away from a local trail system. The cottage itself has been cared for with love and feels extremely peaceful. Teresa is a wonderful host. I hope to visit again soon!

Mar 2019We stayed for 2 nights and LOVED it. The cabin was charming and comfortable. The location is unbeatable and Teresa was a lovely host. We enjoyed walking into town, hiking behind the cottage and just putting our feet up by the fire.

Nov 2017We stayed 3 nights. The cottage is completely quiet with no traffic going buy. The gracious hosts have given attention to all the details making for a comfortable stay. It was wonderful to open the door and smell the Bay trees. It was more like staying at home than being away. Thank you!

An unpretentious place with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable bed.
The property is on a quiet street that backs up to a forested area.
Also Teresa was available to quickly respond to any questions we had. We would stay at her place again.

Sep 2022We loved our time here. This home is so cute, has everything needed to be comfortable and relaxed. Fairfax is the most adorable town in a gorgeous county. Walkable to town, pretty close to SF, close to Mt. Tam and gorgeous hiking. We loved it.

Jul 2021We had such a great time here! Teresa is a wonderful host. The guest house was immaculate and she answered my questions by text immediately. The house was very spacious (unlike what a previous review mentioned) and more than enough room for my husband, son, and I. She also had every supply you could need and mentioned that if we couldn’t find something, she probably had it in the main house. It’s also very convenient and walkable to downtown Fairfax and we were able to walk to a really nice playground. It’s also within easy driving distance of the Golden Gate Bridge and Point Reyes. The street is nice and quiet as well. Finally, we stayed here during a heat wave (100 degrees) and didn’t need A/C since the house is so shaded (and I’m super sensitive to heat). I would highly recommend this home!

Apr 2019We had a wonderful stay in Fairfax with our three sons. Everyone loved the cottage and it’s peaceful setting. It is located just a stones throw from downtown Fairfax but feels like you are in the country. There is no TV and no one even cared. It was great to spend time with the family without electronics.
Teresa is a wonderful host and has the extra touches that make you feel right at home.
We will definitely stay here again.

Nov 2020We had a wonderful stay in Fairfax. The home was perfect for our 6 day quiet retreat from our normal busy pandemic lives. The house is beautifully nestled in majestic redwoods. The interior had everything you would want, heating fireplace, cozy couches and cushions, a kitchenette with enough for our easy cook or warm up meals during our retreat. We took 2-3 hour hikes everyday with many options for trails within walking distance. The neighborhood was beautifully lined with fall colored trees. Overall a perfect location for our contemplative relaxing retreat.

May 2020We had a great time at Teresa's cottage. It was very comfortable for us - 2 adults and an infant and we had everything we needed. Teresa is very accommodating and even set out a small BBQ to use since we had asked if we could BBQ on the deck. She is super responsive with messages and questions. We live local so will be back! It is a nice walk to downtown Fairfax from the cottage and also there is a fire road behind the cottage that loops around that is a lovely walk through nature. Close by is the open space preserve as well.

Aug 2022We had a great stay at the cottage. Teresa really thought of everything, down to the smallest details. The place has such a homey feel and it was so lovely to be surrounded by the redwoods. The location is ideal. It's a great jumping off point to go to San Francisco, Muir Woods, and many other fun day trips. Being in Fairfax was a nice bonus. We went into town every day and enjoyed many of the restaurants and shops. Our entire family had a wonderful time. We will definitely return again. Thanks again Teresa for making us feel so at home and for sharing such a special place.

Aug 2019This was like staying in a friend's cottage. Every need was anticipated and we were so cozy in this adorable, serene cottage. The online pictures don't do it justice! Loved being a ten-minute walk to a cute downtown with great restaurants. We'd come back to Fairfax just to stay in this cottage.
