Ein bisschen Geschichte ... In den späten 1890er Jahren betrieb meine Urgroßmutter und mein Großvater eine Pension und einen Salon in der Bergbaustadt Aldridge im Cinnabar Basin. Als ihr Ehemann erkrankte, verkauften sie den Salon und die Pension und zogen die Familie auf ein Ranch-Anwesen am Yellowstone River, das bis heute der Hauptwohnsitz der Familie Rigler ist.
Schneller Vorlauf ... Diese Entwicklung auf dem Ranchgrundstück Rigler's River Rest ist ein Holzhaus, das 16 km nördlich von Yellowstone Park direkt am Ufer des Yellowstone River liegt. Das Haus mit vier Schlafzimmern und das Loft befinden sich an einem der wenigen verbliebenen Ufergrundstücke mit einfachem Zugang zum Angeln vom Ufer aus und bieten Platz für 12 Personen.
Jedes Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein eigenes Bad und kann entweder ein Doppel- oder ein Kingsize-Schlafzimmer sein. Das Vollbad auf der Hauptebene dient als Badewanne für das Loft, das Platz für bis zu vier Erwachsene bietet. Die Küche wird gut gefüllt sein - der Traum eines Landkochs. Mit einem offenen und geselligen Grundriss öffnet sich die Küche zum Wohn- und Essbereich. Der Außenbereich harmoniert mit dem Innenbereich, mit raumhohen Fenstern. Apr 2023This home is on such a beautiful location and has a great design to take advantage of the views. We saw wildlife from the living room windows. The kitchen is very well appointed and has just about anything one could need. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and almost all rooms have a beautiful view. I would highly recommend.

Apr 2023The owner was pleasant to work with and has the home organized very well. It sits right next to the Yellowstone River and is a few minutes from Gardiner. We were visiting the valley for a fishing trip and spent much of our time downstream at the Spring Creeks in Paradise valley, although the water in front of the home is very fishable too.
The kitchen is well outfitted and has just about every gadget and utensil you could think of. There are two furnished patios on the home. All of the bedrooms are on the basement floor (it is a walkout basement). The loft had 4 twin beds, and we had each of the four bedrooms configured with two twin beds (vs converting them to kings). There is a bathroom with shower on the main floor as well.
If we find ourselves up outside of Gardiner on a fishing trip again we'll certainly revisit this home. It's quite a perch to enjoy the beauty of this area in Montana.

Mar 2023This house is great. Located in a beautiful spot with enough things to do nearby. We could have stayed in the house all day for four days and it still would have been a perfect trip. Gardiner is a great town with friendly people and this house is the perfect place to stay for your trip to South Montana.

Oct 2022Had a fantastic 3 day stay at a beautiful house right on the Yellowstone River. Great house and all the amenities you could want. We cooked/grilled each night and sat out on the river for the evenings. The town of Gardiner was super and all the people were so welcoming. Would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation with incredible views.

Sep 2022My friends from college (we are now in our forties) had the best time here. It is just as pictured and so tranquil and clean. We hiked and went to hot springs etc. The owner was wonderful, very responsive and easy to communicate with. We all want to go back! My friend recently lost her five year old son and butterflies are his symbol. There were butterflies all over the shoreline and all along the property. The whole place was pure magic. The view never got old. The kitchen was well stocked and the decks and bbq were perfect for a group! Will definitely recommend and rebook! Thank you Rigler’s Rest! We will be back.

Aug 2022This vacation was one our kids will never forget. Even with the Yellowstone flooding, there was still so much to do in the area, from Hiking, fishing, Rafting, Horseback riding. The people in Gardiner have been fantastic. Our house was absolutely beautiful, it had everything you could possibly want. Enough bedrooms for everyone, as well as everyone had their own bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen, with any appliance you can think of. The views from both decks was amazing, highly recommended to anyone looking for a great mountain getaway. Looking forward to returning someday.

Jul 2022There is not one thing we would complain about with this property. It was the perfect set up for our family of 12 people. The house had everything we needed and more. Added to that the Spectacular view of the Yellowstone River from the decks. The house was immaculate well stocked and absolutely beautiful. We will be staying here again!!!

Jul 2022We truly enjoyed our stay at this place. The location and the house are great, but list impressive was the equipment of the house. While most rental places only have fundamental accessories in kitchen and other common places, this house felt like home. It truly has everything that you’d have at home as well, and we were so impressed with the quality of things. We are planning doing another trip to work in the flooded areas of Yellowstone and Montana, and this will definitely be again our preferred place to stay. Also, we were welcomed with cookies and cinnamon rolls- what a sweet surprise. Made us feel like we were part of the community. We enjoyed talking with the landlords and the family and they even invited us to visit their barn.
Overall, the quality, the comfort, the size of the place, and the perfectly equipped house made us big fans of the Rigler property.

Jun 2022This house in incredible. The views alone make you never want to leave. If you’re looking to be close enough to Gardiner but enjoy quiet and incredible views away from crowds, this is the house for you! The beautiful Yellowstone River as a back drop to your day is amazing. During our stay at the Rigler home we enjoyed our time as a family while cooking in the high quality and amenity stocked kitchen and watching our kids fish in the Yellowstone River. The house was spacious and immaculately kept. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Being able to enjoy the outdoors from either deck or the lower patio was great for the adults while the kids bounced from one activity to the other (fishing, walking around, sitting around the firepit).
Any questions prior to booking and after were promptly answered and resolved.
Favorite part of our visit was chatting with the owners father and hearing his 80 years of stories of the area and land he grew up on. He could have gone on forever and we would have gladly listened.
Plot twist to our trip, we were visiting the house during the flood of Yellowstone and the surrounding areas that washed out roads and closed the park. Our trip was cut short to our disappointment but not in comparison to the devastation to the area. Currently (6/2022) the north entrance to the park is closed but Gardiner is not! Stay a night or two with the Riglers’ on your way to your next destination. There is still the photo opp at the entrance to the park, ice cream and coffee shops. Some of the fly fishing shops offer horse back riding and cowboy cookouts. The Rigler home would be the best choice to recharge and enjoy the views and what the town of Gardiner can offer.
We can’t wait to come back and finish our trip. Thank you Rigler family for your care, concern and overwhelming hospitality during our stay. It was an adventure and we are glad we shared it with you.

Jun 2022Our extended family of 9, ranging from 18-75 years, loved our stay. My dad was able to manage the two steps into the place and the kitchen and grill had everything one could need, so we cooked all of our meals while we were on vacation (?!!!). We loved the public spaces inside and outside, and also enjoyed the privacy of the bedrooms each with a bath. We had no negatives and we hope that the area recovers quickly from the flooding which occurred the day after we left! We want to come back!! We spent every day in Yellowstone and loved the convenience and solitude of the location. Thank you!!

Apr 2022We rented this house for our trip to visit Yellowstone and it was amazing and also so close the north entrance. The views are absolutely beautiful and we had elk & mule deer come up in the yard right beside the house. The Yellowstone River is directly in the front yard. The house had everything we needed and was so well stocked. The owners were very easy to work with and the house was so neat and clean!! We will definitely stay here again, on our next vacation to Yellowstone!!

Mar 2022Incredible property nestled in the mountains. Near Yellowstone National park, hot springs, hiking, and close enough to the small town of Gardiner to keep supplies filled easily. We absolutely loved the home that had all we could have wanted and more. A perfect getaway that could have lasted much longer if we had our way.
