Twilight on Tekapo Drive with spa, Twizel

Proximity to Town Centre was fantastic!.

We didn't venture to use the Spa as we thought we would await the replacement of the cover. Also not sure why but getting hot water at the vanity in the bathroom was a bit challenging at times. Size of tank perhaps?.

Property was clean, location was ok. Beds were comfy

Hard to see keybox for entry in the dark. Couldn't use TV during our stay and hosts response was she couldn't remember password. Also find having to pay extra on top of the booking to use spa wrong; it should just be included in the price. No basic toiletries included.

Location of property was great for our needs. The beds were very comfy, place spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed. Use of spa was just wonderful & such a treat. The rooms & layout of house was perfect for our group. Host very prompt to respond.

The toilet in the bathroom was a little bit of an issue with a group of 6

Door lock difficult to get to work. Thought there were 2 bathrooms but only 1. No key to access the bathroom in the sleep out. Large amount of bottles at the bin station. Very untidy. Need instructions on operating the cook top.

Helpful owners, good location great décor and quite street

1st - For the two nights we had no hot water in the house. We had a plumber as one of the quests who tried fixing the hot water problem three times as it kept breaking down when we attempted to use it. We showered in the sleep out but had to boil water to do the dishes etc. 2nd - Cleaners turning up at 8.35am in the morning pressing us to depart so they could clean the property. We were in the middle of breakfast. After hurriedly departing I left my puffer vest (with Wallet in pocket) on a chair inside the house. When I followed up with the owner and the cleaning company owner the vest and wallet couldn't be located and had mysteriously disappeared. Very very disappointing. 3rd - I would be reluctant to recommend this property to anyone.

Hot tub not in a particularly private location, but others may not see that as an issue.

The description isn't very clear pre booking. 1 of the bedrooms and bathrooms is in a sleepout which isn't necessarily a 4bed 2 bath house as they're seperate building. Lots of small things missing when compared to similar stays we've had, little things like milk and some kitchen items such as cooking oil not included. Also there was no shower gel in the sleepout bathroom. At nearly 400 dollars a night these things are expected. The hot tub is advertised but not that it is an additional $40, there's not much included for the 40 bucks. Would be nice to have an additional towel for the spa and dressing gowns. Seems a lot of money for just the use of the spa. Communication was also difficult. As several messages went unanswered and had to be chased up. I'm still waiting on bank account details to pay for the hot tub use. Would be a lot easier to just include it in the price. The bins were also overflowing when we arrived.

Site was listed as 4 bedrooms but 4th and 2nd bathroom and toilet was located outside in a sleep out. Would liked to have known at time of booking for security peace of mind. 4th member shared twin room insude as was not comfy being out at back of house. A hand rail on steps to door would be advisable

Comfy beds. The spa was a nice bonus. Nice powerful shower. Everything very clean.

Needed a couple things...there were no trash bags, kleenex or paper towels/napkins. That would have been helpful.

Clean, comfortable, very well-equipped kitchen, good communication from the host. Washing machine and hot tub available though we didn’t use either.

The heat pumps took a while to heat the house, and didn’t reach the bedrooms.

Hairdryer only went on a cold setting. Hot setting didn’t work. Advertised as two bathrooms which is important when you’re travelling with a male work colleague however the second bathroom is in a separate building (sleep out). I didn’t realise that at the time that we opted to just take the house.
