Sep 2020We had a group of 8 adults. Place was really spacious, comfortable and beautiful. Owner was great, place is close to gas, lcbo, general store (10min) for those last minute purchases and overall a great place. Will come back if I have the chance with all my friends again.

Sep 2021The pictures do not do this cottage justice. It’s a very comfortable specious cottage with a flat screen TV. It’s surrounded by trees what gives you privacy. Shireen is an excellent host. She is very responsive. She is still working on improving the cottage. I highly recommend this cottage. We spent a lively time. We’ll be back.

Sep 2020The photos of this property does not do justice. It looks much more beautiful in person. The cottage is clean and equipped with everything you could ever need. It is super kid friendly and so perfect for my one year old toddler. There's a space in the living room with toddler tables, books, colours, toys and a blackboard and it definitely kept my daughter busy. I didn't even need to bring any toys for her! It was more than we could've ever imagined. The property is so spacious both inside and outside. Outside, there's plenty of space for kids and your pet to run around. At the back, there's a volleyball net that you can enjoy and our family absolutely loved that! There's bikes, strollers, toys, basketball, canoe. So many things to do! Neighbourhood is very private and quiet, so peaceful! This cottage has everything! Literally your home away from home! Lastly, Shireen is the most accomodating, helpful and informative owner. She was very responsive and helpful. This property is a must see! We will definitely be back! Thank you so much Shireen!

Sep 2021The cottage is amazing absolutely beautiful. We stayed here at the end of August and couldn't have picked a better place to stay. There is so much to do there was never a moment of boredom for the kids. We also got to watch the most beautiful rain storm due to the sun room. Next time were looking for a get away this will be the first place I go to to book.

Jun 2021Such a beautiful property. Pictures do not do this cottage justice. The principal bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and outdoor access that looks out onto the fire pit. There are many different areas to hang out inside and outside, including a lovely sunroom. The entire property is completely surrounded by tall trees. Very peaceful and relaxing get away!

Jan 2021Shireen's property was incredible - and one of the few rentals which somehow manages to be even *better* than pictured. My family and I spent our Christmas break here and had an amazing time.Despite feeling away from the world, Shireen's property boasted all the modern amenities. The wifi was excellent, the kitchen was fully equipped to cook and the beds were (based on my family's feedback) quite comfortable. We did a different hike every day and were grateful for the number of resources left for us detailing local hikes complete with maps/directions. Shireen made sure to check in daily and while we never needed her for anything because - well she'd already thought of everything - I have no doubt we would have gotten a timely response and fix. Also, it was Christmas and she put a tree up for us which seems like a tiny detail but was really, really lovely to have.Thanks for a wonderful holiday, Shireen!

Jul 2021Shireen's property was fantastic!! I would have to agree with one of the other reviewers....the cottage is definitely better in person! It is very spacious...deceivingly so! The massive fire pit was welcome in the cooler evenings. The cottage is well cared for and clean. It had all the essentials for cooking. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was nice but the pillows could use a refresh. This cottage is super kid friendly with toys, multiple play areas, bikes, kayaks, etc. We were there with our grandchild and never once did we hear her say there was nothing to do! Shireen was extremely accessible and check-in was seamless. I would highly recommend this property!

Jul 2021Shireen’s place was lovely. We brought a baby, toddler and preschooler and had no trouble with baby proofing. Playpen and high chair were available, and the bunk bed room and the main bedroom could easily accommodate it. The toy room was a huge hit! Unfortunately the weather was rainy before our visit, and this combined with the small stream on the property made it too mosquito-y to comfortably enjoy the fire pit at night, particularly at dusk. Drier conditions probably would have helped this, and there was a bug zapper light available to use. Everything was provided for, and we all enjoyed our stay, especially the kids who spent the week catching frogs, grasshoppers, and learning to ride bikes!

The location was excellent for day trips to Algonquin and was near amenities in Dorset. Shireen was an excellent host and replied very quickly to messages and made sure we had a comfortable stay.

Aug 2022Our stay at Shireen's cottage was amazing. The cottage was situated on a large property surrounded by tall trees. The trees offered plenty of privacy. A few minutes away from the cottage was Kawagama Lake. We took the canoe and life jackets from the Bunkie and paddled out into the lake. The lake was tranquil and the view was absolutely stunning. Bicycles were also available, but we didn’t have time to use them. Inside the cottage, it was very clean, spacious and well decorated. Although we were 2 families of 4 adults and 4 kids, we never felt crowded. Everything we needed was provided at the cottage. We were pleasantly surprised to find a water dispenser in the kitchen. Coming from the city, we prefer to drink bottled than well water. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils. Shireen was an awesome host. She was very kind, patient, and helpful with answering all my questions. I will be recommending Shireen’s cottage to my family and friends. I look forward to staying here again.

Aug 2021My family enjoyed our week together and family meals around the big table, playing games, bonfires, fishing, swimming in the lakes and local beaches, playing badminton and volleyball on site, used the canoes as well. There are bikes too!The home was beautiful, and much more gorgeous than the pictures. The layout was perfect. We traveled with 4 kids, aged 12 to 27, and granddaughter who's 3. Everything you need is there!There is also lots of parks within driving distance, along with weekly farmers market, which we loved. My husband and I went there and bought food and crafts, and had a lovely time!Also, shopping is close by, about 30 mins for groceries or LCBO, if that.Everyone enjoyed the trip!Shireen was very helpful and super quick with responding to any questions! 5 stars*

Jul 2022Great experience. Beautiful property, the pictures do not do it justice. Spacious, was perfect for our 2 family getaway. Huge outdoor space, which our pug loved lounging around. And Shireen is a dream host. Quick responses and even checked in to make sure our stay went well. Will highly recommend and can't wait to come back!!
