We were really looking forward to staying at the property and although it was tastefully decorated, kitchen was well equipped and the location was lovely the cottage cleanliness was not adequate. The hard surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom were marginally cleaned but kitchen shelving, bedrooms, bed frames and lamps were very dusty (a problem for those with asthma and allergies to dust), the floors were dusty (especially in corners and under beds). The windows were very dirty which we cleaned ourselves with the cleaning products provided and the mop for floors we went out to buy ourselves. Both door mats and kitchen mat were filthy. The only two hand towels provided were grey(they should be bleached), The queen bed mattress in the main cottage had a blood stain which is unacceptable. And the mattress/pillow covers heavily used and old. They didn’t smell very fresh at all. We were told that due to the Covid precautions everything would be freshly washed and replaced in between each guest. We went out and bought our own bedding. The living room carpet and couch covers smelled bad as well. We also found that the Bunkie was completely unusable due to the strong musty/damp smell, so I while my parents used the main cottage queen bedroom, my husband and I slept in the kids beds in the second bedroom. The patio chair cushions were filthy as if someone trampled them through mud. For the price per week the attention to cleanliness detail should be more attentive. I don’t understand how other reviews state that the property is clean, but upon our stay it was not.

We loved our week at this property! It was clean, newly renovated and well appointed inside and out! The large deck overlooking the lake was amazing for outdoor dining and there were plenty of recreational amenities available, including kayaks, canoes and stand up paddle boards! The swimming was wonderful as was morning coffee on the dock! The proximity to Algonquin Park and Ragged Falls, provided the opportunity for some lovely day hikes. Thank you Will and Bridget for being welcoming hosts, we hope to be back at Freddie's again soon!

We have stayed here multiple times and always thoroughly enjoy ourselves whether on our own or with a few other couples. The cottage is perfect for relaxing by the fire and enjoying a big dinner together. The bunkie is great for having extra sleeping space and ideal if a few people want to retire to bed earlier than others! Thoroughly enjoyed morning coffee and later drinks on the dock or by the bonfire. The beach and property was also perfect for our dog who had the time of his life! Really is the perfect spot to get away for a quiet weekend and enjoy Muskoka with a few friends! We will definitely come back again

We had such a nice time on our second annual visit to Freddy's. It was a very quiet week for the whole family which was exactly what we needed. We're certainly looking forward to coming back next year!

We had a wonderful two week stay at Freddie's cottage. We arrived through a small wooded area that muffles the sound of cars from the road. Cottage is rustic and cozy, a "don't take your shoes off" kind of place. Very well equipped kitchen. Wonderful touches to make you feel at home, including the "welcome" on the chalk board in the kitchen, and 3 vases with fresh flowers. Great and comfortable bunkie, equipped with mini fridge, microwave, as well as equipment for water activities (life jackets, first aid, toys, etc). Owners very conscientious and responsive to questions, and any issues/concerns. Wonderful to offer such a magical place to families traveling with pets, especially large furry dogs. Outside chairs and fire pit were so inviting, we used both each evening. Dock with Muskoka chairs a great place to welcome each day with coffee, wildlife and breathtaking sunrise. Kayaks provided were great fun to explore lake and surrounding areas. Canoe also available. Clothes line provided to dry swimsuits, towels, etc. Close proximity to Henrietta's for delicious baked goods, Dwight grocery for excellent food and superb meat counter. Only need to go into Hunstville for laundry. We didn't use the TV, or looked at newspapers. Freddie's Cottage is the perfect setting to completely disconnect from outside world. Hubby and I were even able to read numerous books during our stay-a rare indulgence. We had a wonderful two weeks, and have already reserved for next summer. Many thanks to Will, Bridget and Wes for sharing their slice of paradise with us. One suggestion: found ironing board but no iron. Would it be possible to have one in the future?

We had an amazing time during the last week of August, 2016. It was so quiet (no highways or air-plains sounds :)). Swimming, fishing (pikes, bass etc), mushrooms, tree-top-tracking - you name it...Perfect place for a family with kids, you friends can come by to visit you :) Everything is clean and nice. Thank You so much, again!!!

We had a fantastic week at Freddie’s! The cottage was perfect for our group. It was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. We especially appreciated all of the boats and Lily Pad, the well-appointed kitchen, and the wonderful yard/waterfront. The bunkie provided lots of space for our group of 7 to spread out. And thank you for being dog-friendly! Highly recommend!
