401 Black Point Drive

We hired the home for a short break with 2 other families with young children. It was the perfect space for us all with plenty of room for the children to play, and each family having their own bathroom. Andrew was lovely to deal with and very helpful. The beach was lovely and secluded - unfortunately, the weather let us down. We'll definitely stay again if we come to the area. Thanks again.

We have stayed here a couple of times now and absolutely love it. The property is large and spacious. We have stayed 3 times in this property and we love it. It is a very spacious house with 3 different living areas, within walking distance to the beach, 15 minutes from Ardrossan. The house has lovely views from upstairs and a great outdoors deck area. All of the family enjoy relaxing here at this house!

We had a lovely week at 401 Black Point Drive, we had 6 adults ( + our indulged miniature labradoodle) staying aged from 18 to 85 years old and everyone was very comfortable. There was plenty of space and the house is very well appointed and easy to live in. It is 5 walk to the beach for our daily walks and has a easy area at the front of the house to enjoy our morning coffee and watch the boats go out. It was extremely easy dealing with the owner Andrew prior to check in and everything was explained thoroughly. We would highly recommend the property and would love to stay there again in the future, as it was enjoyed by us all.

We all had a fabulous time at Black Point. The house was very spacious and had everything we needed and more. It was clean but however we had to give the front windows a bit of a clean. We would recommend an enclosure for a dog but other than that a fabulous property and would definitely recommend.

Very spacious, lots of living areas, clean, easy check-in and out. Great for families, kids loved the house. A few minutes walk to the beach. Very happy with our stay!

Very offensive comments from the host sent directly to me after the stay. We were going to ignore the following issues but have now decided to take it further.When we arrived at the property it was clear the house had not been cleaned.The following were observed during the stay:There was a significant bug infestation. This included multiple cockroaches which we had to use bug spray on. There were numerous dead bugs in multiple places including on bench tops, and the staircase. Bugs were present on bed mattresses too, and these were removed during the stay.The couches in all areas were dirty, sticky, and stained. The couches in the middle lounge room were in a disgusting unsanitary condition, and were unusable during the stay.No bed sheets on any bed, and the mattress protectors were dirty and stained. The mattresses were old and in an unhygienic condition. Extremely unsanitary and a health hazard.All the bins were completely full upon arrival.The dishwasher and toaster were not working. Every time we tried to use the kettle to make a coffee, there would be a power outage and we had to turn it back on by the power board.The cleaning brush left in the kitchen sink was contaminated and disgusting. We were fortunate to have our own sponges. Dirty and unsanitary rugs.A musky smell, so all windows were open to aerate the house.Further to these observations, upon departure:Bench tops were wiped.Floors were swept.All rubbish was put into bags and placed adjacent to full rubbish bins in an orderly fashion.Also, the host's direction that we should have placed rubbish into neighbours' bins is not permitted under council rules and regulations, and we risk being fined for this behaviour. The expectation to place our rubbish at the caravan park is appalling and unrealistic, especially since bins were not empty to begin with.In general the house was left in a better condition than when I arrived.We saw past all these things as we wanted to enjoy our stay, and were disgusted at the audacity of the host wanting to charge an exorbitant amount of money for rubbish bags due to lack of any bin space. Furthermore, additional claims of being bad guests has dampened our spirits to ever want to return to this property.Do not recommend staying at this property or any other property this host may own.

This is an excellent holiday house for a larger group of family or friends. We have stayed here before and likely to again. Beautifully clean, very roomy, well supplied with the essentials, comfortable beds, good layout.

There is a lot of space in this property and all the rooms are comfortable, clean and well maintenance. The house is in a walking distance to the beach and the area is a quiet and beautiful place. We highly recommend this house for big groups.

The property was amazing. Great location and short walk to the beach. We stayed with 6 adults, and 3 children and there was ample space. The front deck was the place to be to be with heaps of seating and a delightful cool breeze. However the sun did take up most of this space in the morning but the deck was undercover by midday. We had two days over 36 degrees and didn’t need the air cond on at all just utilizing the ceiling fans and natural breeze, even the upstairs living space was cool! The house came with foot towels and tea towels to use and 1-2 basics in the pantry. There was plenty of cups, plates, cutlery and crockery and the dishwasher worked extremely well! Would recommend this place and would definitely consider staying here again!

The property is spacious, close to beach. Good option for big family getaway.

The only down sides were , although there was an abundance of knives, forks were a little short. The water pressure pump makes a loud bang when shutting down. other than those two items we have nothing but praise for 401.

Our stay was enjoyed by all. Very large spacious house with all needs met. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay at 401 Black Point was most enjoyable. We had plenty of space to spread out and relax. The kids enjoyed the chess board, dart board and football table. Adults enjoyed the deck with sea breezes for BBQs and reading a good book. The property was very clean and we found it to be exactly as presented in the write up. Thank you for sharing your lovely holiday house with us.

Our favourite place to stay on the Yorke Peninsula. Great location for relaxing and as a base for fishing trips elsewhere in the Yorkes

Only thing missing is some toys for young children and wifi. Other than that, spacious house with 3.5 bath, great location within walking distance to bathing beach, well equipped and nice front deck. More than enough for 10 people!
