The cottage was just what we needed and the hosts incredibly helpful in directing us to local sights. The back porch was the best porch with the swing and the view of fields and sunset in the evening. The queen bed was a little soft for us but the twin beds were great. We'd stay here again.

Stephen's cottage was perfect for our three night stay in Lynchburg. The cottage is in a quiet neighborhood and is very comfortable. Stephen has done a great job with renovations so that you can see the old and new seamlessly melded for a cozy stay. We loved the serenity of sitting on the back patio. The cottage is very clean and is close to many historic places and downtown Lynchburg as well as nice restaurants right in the suburbs.

Nice & comfortable house with plenty of room. Well equipped kitchen. Great location. Good communication with owner. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Nice and clean. The area is really quiet which my family loved. Communication with the owner was easy. He always replied with promptness. My family will definitely be using again.

My wife & I stayed here while in town on a recent trip & booked this property mainly for its close proximity to Liberty University. Overall we were very pleased with our stay. When we originally booked this reservation the Covid-19 pandemic was yet to take hold and as a result our trip was in jeopardy. Throughout the process communication was always prompt courteous and flexible, which was greatly appreciated in light of current events. Our plans did not change and we did keep our reservation and upon arriving the house was as described and thoroughly cleaned. This unit sits in a neighborhood that is fairly quiet with a view of the airport off the back porch. We spent most every night sitting on the porch swing on the back porch talking and watching skies above. While I would say our stay was an overall success there were two glaring issues that prevent me from giving this property a perfect 5. The first and most glaring is the bed in the master bedroom. The bed was either really old, broken or cheap as my wife and I could not sleep in the bed together as it simply would collapse in the middle. This lead to my wife sleeping in one of the twin beds in the other room, otherwise neither of us could sleep. The second and far less pressing was the fact that there was a second smaller property that sits adjacent that we were not aware of. This is only a problem as we were unaware and felt it impeded slightly on our expected privacy. Beyond those two issues I would have no problem recommending this property to others and if the bed issue was remedied I would give this property a 5. My Husband and I came in for a college tour to Liberty University. This place was 6 minutes from campus and 3 minutes from restaurants and stores. Very simple house with everything you need.

I drove back to Liberty University with my daughter following Thanksgiving break and stayed in town a few extra days to spend time with her. Stephen's home was perfect for this! It was close to things in town but was also off of the main road so it was more private and peaceful. Communication was perfect and the house had all of the amenities we needed. I would highly recommend this sweet home when you have a smaller group visiting Lynchburg. I would definitely rent here again in the future!
