Mar 2022Wonderful property, great location. We were looking for a well-equipped place to relax and serve as home base for outings in the area. The casita delivered! It’s in a nice, quiet neighborhood close to lots of activities. The hot tub was great after long days mountain biking and hiking. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and grilling. We only had a couple questions not long after arriving and Jill responded within moments. Overall, it was just as or better than advertised. A terrific place. We’ll be back!

Jun 2022Wonderful home within walking distance to the wharf, Boardwalk, Cowell's Beach, Lighthouse, downtown. It fit the needs of a family, ages 11 to 81 comfortably. The hot tub was a great added bonus. Parking a big van was easy. Our hosts were very accessible.

Apr 2022We had a wonderful time at the casita this week! The location is fantastic - just a couple blocks from W. Cliff where we walked along the water every day. There are several coffee shops and lunch spots nearby that we visited nearly every day. And all the adorable Santa Cruz neighborhoods are a quick and easy drive. The house was perfect for our family - the casita is small but there still feels like plenty of space to get comfortable and relax. I would happily return to this house and highly recommend it for a great time in Santa Cruz!

Jun 2021We had a nice stay. First night we all slept like a baby-next few nights we were woken due to the baby-she was restless- but all in all beds were comfy-The Jacuzzi was so relaxing - weather warm so we lowered temp for our granddaughters to enjoy too! Relaxing to sit out - we utilized the kitchen and BBQ for a nice family dinner. Only one time we had to contact Jill - that was to reset the Jacuzzi- simply fix! We couldn’t figure the fire place- but no biggie- I’m sure if we really needed it I could have contacted Jill. But not really needed for our stay. Weather was warm. It Cooled In Evening for abit- The place was very clean -no complaints! Just one safety issue for little ones- the stairs - we just put pillows as a extra precaution- but our youngest GB (almost 2) loved them! She loved to sit on them and sit in the center area of stairwell. We always like to try new places and We would definitely recommend for a small family- we were 4 adults and 2 children . 1 TV- in living room- but being on vacation who needs them in the bedrooms 😉. I always read reviews to help me to make my decisions to book- and that’s why I chose Jills place -The Casita- 98% positive the other 2% must have been very picky? Thank you again Jill- hope to one day stay there again or meet you! Your reviews show you are a great hostess!! 👍🏻 The G/M family 🤗

Jul 2020We had a great time and were able to walk to the beach easily. The casita was clean except for the towels in the upstairs bathroom (we just washed them) and there was a little sand in the hot tub when we opened it to get in but it was still pretty clean. Other than not having enough toilet paper and the annoyance of not being able to get a hold of Jill for more, this was a great place to stay.

Aug 2019We had a great stay at this little casita. It's proximity to Cowells Beach, the Surfer's Museum, and Boardwalk was perfect for our family. We enjoyed how quiet it was, and slept with our windows open at night. The Jump Bikes (pedal assist) are readily available and close by, allowing everyone to venture off alone or together. Jill was a gracious host, so pleasant, and easy to get hold of. We would definitely stay here agin.....

Apr 2021We had a fantastic stay! This villa is so cute and is in an awesome location within a beautiful quiet neighborhood. Walk/bike to beaches, to the field by the lighthouse which was full of wildflowers, and to the boardwalk. Could hear the sea lions from the backyard. Just amazing. Communication with the host was really easy. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Feb 2021This was our family's second stay at the Casita. We had a great time the last time stayed here (last July) as well, so we decided to come back to relive the experience. The Casita is conveniently located just a short block away from scenic West Cliff drive. It is just the right size for a family of four with two adults and two kids and had everything we needed to cook lots of our own meals. The hot tub worked flawlessly and was a highlight of our days as we unwound at the end of each active day. Jill is a courteous and responsive host.

Sep 2020This was a beautiful Cassita with everything we could’ve possibly needed. Added bonus of a small yard complete with BBQ and hot tub made for some relaxing evenings outside. We were close enough to the boardwalk and pier that we could walk to anywhere we wanted to go. Close to resteraunts too. A relaxing home away from home. Our host was amazing, she was great at communication and readily available when we had any questions. We look forward to a return visit.

Aug 2021This property is wonderfully tucked in an alley just a couple blocks from Westcliff Drive, the historic road that winds along the cliffs on the westside of Santa Cruz. Although so close to Westcliff and the Beach Boardwalk (and just a few minutes to downtown), it's a surprisingly quiet neighborhood with a great local Santa Cruz feel. You'll feel tucked away in this little cottage, beautifully designed and by the owners themselves. Soak in the hot tub, cook in the kitchen, that's stocked with everything from blenders to pans and baking sheets. The courtyard is just big enough for hot tub and sitting with friends...but the real joy is just a couple blocks further. Grab your morning coffee and watch the early-morning surfers in Steamer Lane (right off of Lighthouse Point). Take an ocean-front walk. Stroll or drive to downtown (walking doesn't take long). Explore the Boardwalk (it's worth walking through, even if you're not interested in the rides...try a foggy morning before the crowds arrive!). On top of all that, the wharf with its restaurants and views. I promise the owner didn't pay me to write this...I just can't emphasize what a rare find this location and ambiance are. The house isn't huge, but it's exactly as described: a delightful casita!

Jan 2020This beautiful place is perfect for a relaxing weekend in SC. It is very comfortable two bedroom house a block from West Cliff drive . The hot tub was lovely after a surf and the kitchen has everything you need of you want to cook and stay in for the night . Can’t wait to come back !
