Aug 2018We were very very impressed with this home. It was very clean and spacious. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook - we made all our meals there and never found anything lacking as far as utensils, spices, pots etc. It was so much fun using the ping pong table, horseshoes, wrap around golf ball game and firepit! We loved being by the park and went on many walks on the paths in the woods. I would highly recommend this home!

Oct 2022We were needing a place to stay close to Saugatuck(hometown) so that my family could come and join us from the other side of the state and Ohio. We had five grandchildren who were aged from young teens to eight years old. The house was perfect in that everyone had their own space but the communal spaces were many and big enough. The teens loved the shuffle board, basketball, ping pong and all the board games. The adults loved the privacy (and the nearness of the lake and Wiersma’s which we all remembered from when we were kids)! Thank you, Wade, for having such a great place to meet up!

Nov 2020We stayed at this this lovely home over a four day weekend. It was absolutely stunning. It was immaculately clean, spacious, and so unique! The master suite was beautiful. The windows and the views on every side were spectacular. There is a creek in a beautiful hiking trail right off the side of the property. Holland is a great place for a vacation. This rental home is probably the best we have ever rented. We can’t wait to come back!

The windows and the views on every side were spectacular. There is a creek in a beautiful hiking trail right off the side of the property. Holland is a great place for a vacation. This rental home is probably the best we have ever rented. We can’t wait to come back!

The property is spacious inside and out, floor to ceiling Windows in the living room, many bedrooms rooms, a jacuzzi in the bathroom. The property has plenty of outdoor shade, with a huge backyard and firepit, and seating. The kitchen has an induction stove and everything is well labeled from cups to pans to light switches. The outdoor BBQ grill has a powerful fume hood. And not to mention, there is access to a private beach which is breathtaking! The girls at the shipyard were very helpful and the property manager is extremely responsive and helpful as well. We would definitely recommend this place to a large group looking for a getaway.

Jul 2020We rented this house for a family gathering. Having 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms was perfect for our big group. The whole house was very clean!
We had one problem with some outlets/switches but we called the manager and someone was there to fix the problem before we even hung up the phone!
There is plenty of living and seating places. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to cook meals. Lots of extra towels in the bathrooms. The large screened in porch was great - no mosquitoes! Big backyard for games, kids, etc.
The property is in easy walking distance to the marina and we rented kayaks and paddle boards - so nice to have that so close.
We were very happy with this rental - highly recommend!

Aug 2019We really enjoyed ourselves at this beautiful and spacious home. The screened in porch was our favorite! However, the kitchen floor caused my bare feet to be black. Showing evidence that it wasn’t clean. But, overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves while there.

Sep 2021We loved staying at this home. Spacious, plenty of activities, and management was excellent and incredibly responsive. We did have several issues with local residents while attending the private section of Lake Michigan beach associated with the property, and chose to attend other local beaches for the remainder of our stay.

May 2018We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house. We had couple of minor problems with the beach Access and WiFi connection but they were very helpful and in the end everything worked out. We will definitely like to rent this house next time we go to Holland.

Aug 2019We had a great time at Sanctuary Woods house. Wade took very good care of us, letting us know that power was out on our drive in, so we didn't stop and buy groceries. We arrived in rain storm so it was great to have garage to unload the cars. Wade then came over with a cooler full of ice and cold drinks and flashlights for us, He also gave us cash to go out for dinner that night! Shortly after we arrived they got a generator going so we had a refrigerator, a few lights and most importantly - water.! The house in on a well. The house was certainly large enough for all of us, 8 adults and 4 children. The kids especially enjoyed their bunk room (ad the flashlights they got to use the first night!) It was a little stuffy the first night, because the sliding doors in the bedrooms don't really work. We got power late the next morning and it was a great stay. We lived on the screened in porch and enjoyed the fire pit a couple of nights. The private Macatawa Beach is really nice. We took advantage of the kayaks. The association will let you drive in and drop your gear closer to the beach, then you can park in your designated parking spot. The kids also enjoyed the toys that were left there, balls, yard games etc. I would recommend it to a family that isn't averse with walking to the beach and it's a short drive to activities in Holland and Saugutuck.

May 2018We came here with a group or 12 guys to get together before our buddy got married. We were a little concerned on space but that was all put to rest when we pulled up. House is very large with many rooms to get away from all the noise if needed. The surrounding landscape is littered with trees and the small creek back is nice to listen to in the morning over coffee. Kitchen was fully stocked with many spices, oils and other cooking essentials. Backyard was large enough for us to enjoy many backyard games. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels and linens on site. Boat rentals right across street, local grocery store about 5 minutes away. The house is just far enough away from the road and tucked into the woods to not bother anyone if you want to be a little noisy. We had a blast and will be back to visit again

We happen to be a family of TV watchers and WIFI signal was pretty frustrating in the main room. Overall, lots of room for all of us and plenty of room to break off into small groups. Had a great night for somores in the fire pit.

May 2019This is great property for rent if you like secluded places, surrounded by forest but very close to all attractions. We had great time spending there 3 nights , great back yard with access to hiking trails ,walking distant to beautiful beach. The house is very clean , with all accommodations , that you need for few days.The owner was very fast to respond to all my questions. We would love to come again for few days .

Aug 2019This home was fine for our family of 10; open and spacious in a beautiful wooded setting. We missed being closer to Lake Michigan and having tennis courts available in the neighborhood. But the property is excellent! Also, it is a well stocked kitchen.

Jun 2018The home is amazing for gathering with growing families. We got our family together here for a local wedding, and were able to gather together in a fantastic screened porch in the back. There is lots of room to spread out, and to gather in groups. Very clean and well maintained, and walking distance from the marina, lighthouse and the beach at lake Michigan. The whole property is interesting to see and explore. The beds are very comfortable, and the facilities were well-maintained.
I would highly recommend the home, and the owners.

Jun 2021Our family of 8 adults, 5 children stayed here 3 nights. The house was perfect. Location, cleanliness, open space. We all loved it. The only downside was that it rained most of our stay so we were unable to do some of the things we wanted to in the area. Would definitely recommend for a large family getaway!
