Oct 2018We we're 6 adults sharing the house and we felt we all had our privacy...I loved all the balcony...and the kitchen is great...we cooked almost all of our meals in the house. Josephine was great to deal with. She always answered us really quikly... Everything was as described. We all wish to go back someday. Thank you! MC

Oct 2018We visited LBI mid-October for a family wedding. The island is very quiet this time of the year but still worth the visit! We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The kitchen is well-equipped and there’s plenty of space for the kids to play. The setup allowed the grownups to enjoy gatherings in the upstairs kitchen while the children hung out in the lower living area. We also loved sunsets at the rooftop! The location is also great with a kids playground a block away.
Our stay was flawless and we would love to come back in the future!

Jan 2019We rented the house to get together with our 4 children and grandchildren for New Year’s Eve. A great time was had by all. Plenty of room for all a great kitchen for cooking for everyone. Took the kids to the park on New Year’s Day.

Oct 2020We love this property! The location is perfect. The house is lovely, and the owner has it stocked with things that make your stay much easier; laundry detergent, trash bags, paper towels, etc.

Oct 2021We had a wonderful stay at this property. The ocean and bay views give you a sunset and sunrise experience. The house was updated, immaculate and so lovely. Josephine was so great to work with... very responsive and accommodating. Can't wait to return.

Jun 2018We had a great week, this was the perfect beach house. Plenty of room for 4 couples. The layout of the house allowed us to choose to be together or have privacy. The location was perfect, between the bay and the ocean. The entrance to the ocean is at the end of the block. We walked the short block to the ocean to watch the sunrise in the morning and saw spectacular sunsets from the rooftop deck at night. Tennis courts, basketball and park for children are very close. The house was clean and comfortable. The main living space at the upper level of the house has great views. It is open and spacious. Plenty of room to cook in the kitchen or a great grill outside. Ping pong was a good diversion on a rainy day. Josephine was always available when needed. Would definitely rent again!

Aug 2018We had a fantastic time enjoying the beach and coming back and enjoying the rooftop deck. Wonderful family memories were made. Especially for the grandchildren. Happy to say we’re booked again for next year.

Sep 2019We enjoyed our stay at the house in Aug-2019. It has beautiful views of the bay, gorgeous sunsets, and is only a short walk to a tennis court, children's play area, and the beach. It was ideal for a family of seven and met our basic needs. Josephine Tyne was pleasant to deal with and tried to facilitate active families by keeping a ping pong table, boogie boards, beach chairs and toys, basketballs, and tennis raquets in the garage.

Jul 2019We brought our kids and grandkids to LBI for a vacation. The location of the house was perfect for us. Holgate is at the southern end of LBI and much quieter than the rest of the island but close enough so we could take the kids to do all the fun things the island offers. The house was great and spacious enough for all of us to have a little privacy when we needed it with beautiful views and all the amenities. Josephine was an amazingly responsive host. We are already planning our next year’a vacation.

Sep 2021This was the nicest home that we've ever rented at the shore. We are a group of senior siblings who get together every year for a beach trip. This house is exceptionally spacious and well appointed. The host was generous and easy to communicate with. We would definitely go back.

Sep 2020This was a Covid-19 chosen property... plenty of space for us and set apart from the crowds. Nice area to walk as it is close to a state park. The walkable beach and bay are narrow, but its a quick drive to a beach with more space and amenities. Recently reopened restaurants and shopping are a short drive away and there was plenty of parking this time of year.

House was very well stocked with necessities and best of all, VERY clean and well maintained. Plenty of space for gatherings as well as some alone time. Highly recommend this house, not only for the house but also the ownership!

Sep 2021This house was exactly as described in the listing. It was very comfortable for three couples and provided lots of space for being together as well as privacy when we wanted to be alone. Easy access to the ocean beach and only a few steps from a lovely bay beach.

Sep 2020The house is even more beautiful than the pictures, and we loved the almost 360-degree water views from the roof deck. We had plenty of space for our group of multiple families including 5 small children, it was so nice to have 2 separate living areas and plenty of outdoor space. The beach was just a short walk down the road and the playground right on the bay just across the street.

Aug 2021Property was lovely. It would have been good to know how steep the route to the beach was before renting. We did have one bad experience as the refrigerator / freezer in the upper level kitchen broke which was very inconvenient. Josephine brought out a repair person the next morning but he was unable to repair it. She purchased a new one but it was three flights down in the garage. Unfortunately we lost quite a bit of food and ate more meals out than we had hoped to. This was no ones fault however and without our asking Josephine wrote us a check to compensate. With this exception the property had everything that we needed.

Jul 2020Our family loved their time at this house. It's a great space for a large family vacation. House was just as advertised/pictured. Located in a quiet area, and the proximity to the Bay Beach was great for the kids. Josephine was responsive and great to work with. Highly recommended.

Sep 2019My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It had everything we needed. We especially loved the water and sunset views. We didn’t have to leave the house to enjoy the bay, although we did spend lots of time on the bay beach and playground, which were perfect for our toddler. The ocean beach is very close and fabulous too, but be prepared for the climb up the steep dunes. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. I highly recommend this rental.

It was a quick walk to the beach or drive if you wanted to be down by the bathrooms. The kids also enjoyed the close proximity to the bay and playground. I would definitely recommend the property.
