We had a wonderful time! The house was so clean and comfortable for our two families. Plenty of room and space. The location is perfect for those who have little ones. The beach is a minute walk and the sandbar was so much fun for our kids! Highly recommend this rental to families for a beach vacation. Rose was the best!!!

We had a wonderful time staying at this house, but have a few tips that the management company doesn't seem interested in sharing on the listing or addressing with us. 1) There are two functional ovens in this house. Do not use the top oven as it sets off the smoke alarms in the entire house due to the heat...not smoke, heat (we were using it at 350 and it went off the two days we were there). Yes, they sent someone to clean it the first day we had an issue, but the problem continued and they were dismissive over our frustration. 2) If you are staying with 10 people bring extra bowls if you plan on dining at the same time. 3) This house lists a coffee maker but doesn't clarify that it's a Keurig and they do not provide pods. Bring your own or be prepared to drive for coffee. 4) If you plan on using the dishwasher once a day or more, bring your own detergent, they do provide detergent, but for minimal use (this is the same for toilet paper).

We enjoyed our stay so much we didn't want to leave. It was absolutely perfect from the cleanliness of the lovely home to the short walk to the private, pristine beach. We can't wait to return!

This was a terrific home for our group of 8 (4 dads and 4 10 yr-old sons). This was our 5th trip as a group and this place was perfect - very lovely, well-appointed house that had everything we needed and was close to everything. All in our group would highly recommend it and we will likely be back next year.

This was a beautiful property. The outdoor shower was added bonus. A short walk to the beach, which was very quiet with a wonderful sandbar during the lower tides. Bring water shoes because there are some rocks at some points during your walk out to the sandbar once you were on the sandbar, it is just ripples of sand in a beautiful soft surface. Many people went swimming on the other side of the sandbar and some people brought out chairs on the sandbar. This property has plenty of TVs comfortable beds the only thing they could use is extra pillows. The kitchen is adequately stocked. There are many nearby restaurants. My grandchildren visited Lake Compounce about an hour away and the Essex we are Road maybe 15 minutes away. All in all it was a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this property.

This home was great. Any issues we had were discussed with the agent and I believe will be addressed. I e thing to beware of-unless my suggestion of adding 4 card table chairs in a closet there, there is only dining table seating for 6, even tho the house sleeps 8 in beds and has extra sofa sleeping options. if we go back I would ask if more chairs have been added somewhere. It was cold when we were there (January) but we had a great walk on the beach!😊�

The spacious open floor plan is perfect for a memorable family gathering. Proximity to the beach - just right - less than 2 min walk. Beds ALL very comfortable. Would absolutely want to revisit this rental!

The house was clean and very comfortable. There are a lot of rules, but that is probably why the home is clean and comfortable. The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is the check in time was 3:00. It would be nice if the owner allowed for an earlier check in since check out is 10:00 which should be enough time to for an earlier check in. Earlier check in would allow guests to take advantage of the 1st day, especially if you there for only 2 nights.

The house was better than described. Spacious and clean. The proximity to the beach was great. 4 minutes with a toddler. No high waves and very few other beach goers. There is a wonderful sand bar to walk on at low tide -great fun for kids and adults. Neighbors shared that the beach is only “crowded” during the two weeks around July 4. The beach and the neighborhood both had a safe feel. The house was only a few miles off route 95. The town was small with quick access to a variety of grocers and restaurants. The sunroom was great- adults could talk after little ones were in bed. The gas grill was in great shape and the propane tank was full. The outdoor patio and side lawn were great. The kitchen was roomy enough for a crowd of 6 persons and 2 children. The laundry room was convenient. Thanks for the beautiful fluffy white towels! The closets were huge with sufficient shelving on 3 out of the four bedrooms. In the fourth bedroom (on the first floor)The closet was small with no shelves for grooming products or meds or clothing. The WiFi was unreliable. The air temp upstairs got warm and would not cool down within the parameters on the rental agreement. The east facing room get really bright really early. One bed was a little squeaky but comfy. We loved it and will be back!!!

The house is just perfect! The way the house is laid out is perfect for a large crowd - everyone has their own "personal space" where they can go for some peace and quiet! The house has everything that you need - state of the art appliances, lots of counter space and plenty of room to cook snacks or a delicious five course meal. The sun room is bright and cheerful with windows all accross the back of the room. The living and dining room (one large area) are spacious and give you all the room you will need for a crowd. The entire house has been remodeled - everything looks brand new! Lots of electrical outlets for all those hairdryers and curling irons! The bedrooms are spacious and inviting - a quiet santuary if you need one! The house is off the main road in Westbrook and everything store you will need is nearby! The house is perfect and you will certain enjoy everything about it!!!

To make the rental experience truly outstanding, I would recommend the following ~ * Keep the propane tank full for gas grilling. * Supply two bath towels per guest * Provide an adequate supply of bath, hand and dish soap for guests as well as paper towels and garbage bags. * Replace sofa bed mattress- it is not really usable for an adult. * Improve the quality of the bedding. * Provide mirrors in the bedrooms for grooming. .

Quiet neighborhood. Quick walk to almost exclusive beach. Sandbar was our favorite destination. Grandson learned to ride his bike on rarely used street behind house. Great restaurants for carry out. Easy access to groceries, etc.The house was clean, furniture comfortable, kitchen appliances well supplied.

Property was amazingly maintained and clean when we got there. The property also has an amazing access to the private beach, less than a 4 minute walk. Robert and his team where very nice and efficient with getting everything organized for our stay. Looking forward to renting the place again.

Our family loved our stay. It is very close to the beach and to various Route 1 restaurants. Very comfortable.

It is a beautiful home in a great location. The house had the perfect layout for our family, nice bedrooms, and a wonderful open layout for relaxing.

I booked this house for a girls weekend getaway. We had an amazing weekend. When we arrived we had a welcome gift basket which was so thoughtful. The house was very clean and sunny. The patio was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee. The house was very easy to get to and close enough to shops for grocery shopping. The only down side is that you were only allowed to park 4 cars, however, there is a commuter lot not too far away which was easy enough to get to. The beach is just down the road and the neighborhood is very quiet and relaxing! Would definitely recommend this home!

For our son's wedding in Old Saybrook, we were looking for a reasonably priced property for family descending from across the country. Boy, did we hit the jackpot here. Situated a block away from one of the nicest private beaches on Long Island Sound, the house slept eight comfortably, and we could have easily accommodated a couple more. The owners put a lot of time and care in the upkeep of this property and it shows. We had questions on a couple of items, and they were remarkably prompt in responding- great folks. For the price, you can't do better than renting at this wonderful property!

Beautiful home and just like in the pictures. We enjoyed breakfast in the mornings and wine and snacks in the evening at the outdoor area. The living room and sun porch were perfect for lounging and chatting. The beds were comfortable and the house was a 2 minute walk to the beach. Included beach chairs but only 5 and there were 6 of us and no beach towels. But other than that this house had everything! We thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely go back!
