Traveling w my husband & 2 adult children so having 3 bedrooms with King/queen beds was great! Inside was well maintained & stocked. Large table on screened in patio was nice addition. Master BR was very roomy. Noticed a playpen was available. Access to golf cart made getting around the island easy. Never had to use my car.

This was a very pleasurable experience. We enjoyed early morning runs, golf cart rides to the beach and pool, along with evening walks. The home was spacious and in a great location to make you feel "on vacation". I would recommend a few small touches to improve the stay; new bath towels and shower liner curtains, and replace grill due to rusting and grates falling apart. We really enjoyed this weekend getaway.

This was a great place to stay! Plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed the golf cart to and from the beach. Beds were comfy. Big dinning room table for 8 guests. Property manager was very responsive and helpful. We totally recommend this house.

This house was absolutely perfect for our family of 4! Minutes from the beach and pool, spacious house, well stocked kitchen. All of it fit the bill. We would love to come back again!

This house is perfect for any getaway, but especially a family. They have everything you need and more. The golf cart is awesome for getting around the island, going to the pool and getting to the beach. Would definitely come back again and recommend it to others.

The Sea Island Cotton was everything we hoped for and more! It was a charming, beautiful 3 bedroom / 2 bath home that met all of our needs. We cooked our meals at the house, and the kitchen was well-stocked with glasses, plates, pots & pans, baking dishes, etc. It was so nice in the evening to sit outside in the screened-in porch. It was in a secured community, and we felt safe. It was wonderful having the golf cart available to go to the beach, which was absolutely beautiful! Not far from Hunting Island State Park where the beach was not crowded. All information provided about the property was accurate, and Robert was wonderful in providing information about restaurants and activities to do in the area. The Sea Island Cotton is on our favorite list, and we will be back soon!

The property manager, Robert Gossett, went above and beyond in making sure we had all we needed to have a wonderful week at Harbor Island. He is excellent at communication, sending shopping and restaurant suggestions, the community rules, and general tips to help make our vacation the best it could be. He is the best property manager we have had in using VRBO. The house is amazing! It fit our family’s needs, was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The golf cart was an added bonus. We used it daily for the 5 minute ride to the beach as well as just riding around the island to enjoy the views. The beach was uncrowded, important during this time of COVID. We enjoyed seeing large numbers of dolphin each day. Be sure to bring binoculars! As a SC resident who spends time at our beautiful beaches often, I can say Harbor Island is our new favorite and we hope to return to this property again.

The house was beautiful and well cared for. The golf cart made for easy access to the beach and fun trips around the island. Everything worked well in the house and it was very comfortable. We enjoyed the community among the island and the relaxing, low-key atmosphere.

The house is so much nicer than the pictures show. Loved having the golf cart! Plenty of room and all the necessities that we would need.

Robert was the best host we’ve rented from. Very available when needed but also gave us space. The pictures don’t do it justice. And my family will tell you I’m fairly hard to please. Outdoor shower was great to have. Everything was very clean. The layout of the house is great. I read about the windows not having window coverings and was concerned. But they all have black storm shutters covering them so I’m not sure what others issue was. You can’t see in. House is secluded. Beach is a short drive on the golf cart. I actually preferred this than being on the beach because it kept the sand indoors to a minimum. We loved our stay! My kids (6 & 3) have already asked to go back.

Robert was great at letting me know the check in process and places to eat, bike rentals, pool info, and places to visit in the area. This home is beautiful and very well taken care of…we had the best time!

Nice getaway with plenty of social distancing capability. The pictures of this home don’t do it justice. Clean home, awesome property manager, great experience. Enjoyed our long weekend.

Let me first say, our family has stayed off and on a week at a time on Harbor Island since around 2003. We've stayed in all sorts of different condos and houses during our visits, typically through the usual rental agency near the entrance itself, so we're very familiar with the area and lay of the land as far as the island itself. It's a very private, laid back and quiet place to spend a vacation. You're looking at about 20 minutes to get back to "civilization" if you need something from Walmart or a grocery store, so keep that in mind. This information is not really part of the review, just to express our familiarity with the area. As for the house. It's in the marshy/wooded area when you first get onto the island. A very quiet and calm one-way road in and out. The pictures are not great on VRBO for this particular property, but it is very nice on the inside and outside. The master suite is very large, with a huge bathroom and double sinks. The walk-in closet is also very nice but was crowded with an infant playpen which we had to break down to have room for our clothes. There was also a lot of items left (presumably) from previous renters in the closet, so the space seemed limited. There were plenty of towels to use and some toiletries to use on arrival. The dining room is very nice and roomy with plenty of room to have a nice dinner. The kitchen is also very nice and well-stocked with things you might have forgotten at the grocery store. It suffers from common issues at rental houses like dull knives and cheap/worn-out small appliances. All in all it worked for us very well. The living area is large and comfortable, but the sectional couch is past it's prime and really needs replacement. The other two smaller bedrooms and bathroom for them were sufficient and comfortable for our children to use. They had no complaints. The property manager, Robert, is excellent in what he does. CONS: The Dish Network TV service is horrible. We woke up each morning to no signal after the rains. Not a deal breaker for us but the kids would have enjoyed it. The WiFi is horrible. Very slow. Thankfully we had unlimited data on our phones. The landline service was not functional; not that we needed it, just noted. The ceiling fan on the screened porch is broken and would not turn on. The golf cart is good but really needs a windshield & headlights. The property really needs window treatments. All in all, however, a very good property!

It was a perfect location to stay put and enjoy time with family. This house was lovely, perfect for the six of us. The beaches were NOT crowded, we enjoyed bike rides around Ocean Marsh. This time we brought our own kayak and got to see dolphins while kayaking! We also ordered groceries for pickup on the way in at the Beaufort Super Walmart. House is well stocked with almost anything you could need. Definitely would stay here again. Property manager was very helpful.

If you want a nice relaxing vacation then this is the house to rent. It was very comfortable and relaxing. We wanted to be away from all the crowds etc and this was perfect. The beaches there are nice and we felt like we were the only ones there. Robert was very helpful.

If I could give this place a million stars I would. House was beautiful. Fully stocked with everything. Golf cart was a wonderful addition for riding to the beach and around the island. The people was so friendly. Only one negative, mosquitoes. Bring bug spray! But you are in the marsh land. This house, beach, island, and Robert is a 10/10! We enjoyed everything so much.
