Jul 2019When we arrived at the Norris property we were delight to find a large we furnished 5 bedroom getaway. The kitchen and main floor 2 refrigerators and separate large ice maker made the week. The property has a lovely view and a great dock. As in almost all of the properties it is a bit of a walk to get down and back from the dock, but its more then worth it.

Oct 2020We were a family of 7 adults and 2 children, aged 2 and 3 staying at this property end of September. Our only downfall of the week was the weather, as Lake Norris got some rain from a hurricane in the Gulf. The property itself was incredible. The amenities (kayaks, paddleboard, water mat, boat, etc) were a huge plus. I have searched hundreds of VRBO's and AirBnb's on Lake Norris, and many did not offer these types of amenties, so that was a huge incentive. Rent the boat available. Dave does not charge the 9.25% sales tax that the marinas do. It's a 2020 tritoon, and spectacular. Our favorite feature of the home was the large outdoor party deck with the built in grill. The kids ran around on it all day and had a blast. I loved the patio lights at night. The dock was awesome, and also lit up at night. Steep hill to and from the dock, but that's good for burning calories :). The location was perfect. It's close to 2 marinas and literally less than a mile from Chapman Hill Winery for all you wine connoisseurs. Dave was an excellent communicator, no issues there. Lake Norris overall is a beautiful lake, and we look forward to visiting again in the summer months with warmer weather and hopefully no rain!

May 2019We very much enjoyed Dave's property. We rented it for Lincoln Memorial University's graduation weekend (about a 45 minute drive away) and stayed for 5 days/4 nights. The house was very clean upon arrival and equipped with anything you might need for a large group (WiFi, TV, a full kitchen, games for the guests to enjoy, kayaks, and a paddle board). We only experienced one problem during our stay where the air conditioning went out. Dave sent someone the very next day to fix this issue and provided fans in the interim. Items we picked up from the store that will save a trip if you bring them with you were trash bags, dishwasher tabs, soap for the shower, and shampoo & conditioner. We did not use the washer & dryer but there is one present. Dave was a pleasure to communicate with throughout our stay and would recommend both him and his property.

Jul 2019We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Escape. There was plenty of room for everyone (11) and the kitchen had two refrigerators, an ice maker which we really appreciated, and plenty of pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc. The best part included the ability to rent the pontoon boat and the various water toys, ie. kayaks, paddle bloard, floating mat, and the great dock which also had a place for my speedboat. We had an amazing time! Thank you!

Aug 2021We stayed here at the end of July with a friend group of 3 families (6 adults, 7 kids), & we had the most wonderful time!!! Seriously beautiful home! Tons of room, especially the twin rooms! Perfect for kids. Amazing views. We loved cove, the neighborhood, & the nearby marina. We enjoyed the water toys (kayaks, paddle board), & the boat was just awesome! Our kids must have jumped off the dock 50 million times, & we ate our lunches at the table down there. Dave was very personable & helpful & always available when we needed anything. Only downside was the spotty cell service for some of us, but it was nice to unplug a little too. It was our first trip to Norris, & we will definitely stay here if we ever go back! Thank you, Dave!!!

The owners were very courteous and helpful, leaving a tourist guide in the kitchen. Sep 2020We had three families with a total of 14 people spanning all ages - tons of space to enjoy - indoors and outdoors. The location is very good - especially with young kids because they can swim right off the dock with no wake.

Jan 2021We are from down south and the snowy mountains are a little too much. Property is beautiful with plenty of space but the drive up the mountain was scary. Several cars were stuck and even had an accident. We had to park on top of the road because the house is so far down the driveway and steep. Several people actually slipped because of the snow but the kids were slidding down. It started to snow the day before Christmas which was good for the kids. The house Was well stocked. With 16 people in the house the hot water ran out fast. Also the downstairs basement was extra cold. The room with The bunk beds didn't produce any heat. Great property for someone who is use to the cold weather. Great views. We took amazing pictures.

Jun 2020This property was absolutely perfect for our group of 16 during quarantine. Immaculately clean. Spacious. Updated. Beautiful layout. Amazing covered patio to enjoy during a rainfall or meals. Ice machine was perfect. Outdoor fridge for adult beverages was in just the right spot. The dock was sturdy, spacious, and the boat lift was an added bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board. The beds were comfy and accommodated us all!! The Foosball table and air hockey table are added bonuses. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive. The house is in a quite, no-wake cove and the views are beautiful. Perfect location. The best house we've rented at Norris Lake!! We will definitely be back!!

Jun 2022The property was very nice and clean! It was well laid out and furnished. The New dock area with the slide was a hit for the kids and adults. The property is exactly the way it is represented online, and the owners are great to communicate and check in is seamless.

Aug 2019The owner is great to work with! The home was very clean and spacious. The walk from the dock was steep just like they disclosed but we have had much worse. Our whole group loved the home. The location is nice and close to a lot of the marinas.

Jul 2019The house was in a perfect location and had a great layout for our four families with several children! The big table was awesome for meals. The ice maker was an added bonus to fill coolers for the dock, boat, and traveling home. Renting the boat with the house was so convenient! Perfect location for swimming! Already planning on returning!

Aug 2022One of the best places we've stayed in many years of traveling. We had three generations of family for the week and there was plenty of space to gather and yet each of us could have our own space when needed. The house was spotless, all of the home furnishings are first class, and the house is stocked with pretty much anything you could want. From the state of the art grill to the water, to the game room, to the upper deck water slide our kids went down over a hundred times, the amenities are fantastic. If you're going to be out of on the lake frequently, I highly encourage renting the accompanying pontoon boat for the week. Having on demand access to the water is a wonderful feature. Additionally, we had a couple small homeowner-type issues during our stay and the owners responded immediately and the issues were dealt with promptly. If you're looking for luxury accommodations at Norris Lake, this house should be at the top of your list.

Aug 2020Group of guys weekend, about a dozen of us. Had a really great time at the house and on the water. This place is located in one of the better parts of the lake from what we saw exploring the lake. The ability to rent the boat with the house and have it docked right there was crucial. Again, location was everything - the fuel was about 200 yds from our dock, which obviously made it super convenient to refuel. I’d for sure head back to this house and will definitely recommend to others. Thank you.
