Das Haus liegt am Strand und ist nach Norden ausgerichtet, um den ganzen Tag Sonne zu tanken. Unmittelbar hinter dem Haus befindet sich der schöne Brisbane Waters National Park. Das Haus hat einen fabelhaften Blick auf Patonga Creek und auf die Meerseite hinüber nach Lion Island und zum Leuchtturm von Barrenjoey. Eine große Nordterrasse mit Blick auf einen schönen Badestrand. Wohn- und Schlafzimmer haben alle einen atemberaubenden Blick auf das Wasser.<br><br>Eine der Attraktionen des Hauses ist, dass die Lage in der Nähe von Sydney das Gefühl hat, von allem fern zu sein. Der Zugang zum Haus erfolgt über eine kurze Reihe (ca. 250 m) über den Patonga Creek in unserem Beiboot. Zugang nur über Wasser bedeutet, dass keine Straßen, kein Verkehr und der Strand vor Ihrer Haustür liegen. Wenn Ihre Ruderfähigkeiten ein bisschen verrostet sind, können wir unseren Hausmeister Hans bitten, Sie bei Ihrer Ankunft zu treffen und Ihnen die Seile zu zeigen. Lassen Sie uns einfach wissen, ob Sie diesen Service benötigen, wenn Sie buchen.<br><br>Dort können Sie aus einer Vielzahl von Aktivitäten wählen, wie Schwimmen, Angeln mit dem mitgelieferten Beiboot, Strandkricket und Ballspielen, Drachenfliegen, Erkunden des Baches mit den mitgelieferten Kajaks, Herumtollen an der Mündung des Baches auf dem Surfski, und genießen Sie die lokalen Buschwanderungen. Oder Sie können einfach draußen auf dem geschützten, sonnigen Deck mit einem Buch oder einer Zeitschrift aus dem Haus entspannen und den Tag beobachten. Das Deck blickt auf den Strand und ist perfekt, um Kinder beim Spielen zu beobachten.<br><br>Das Haus wird mit TV / DVD und Bose-Stereoanlage mit CD- und iPod-Kompatibilität geliefert. Bettwäsche wird gestellt.<br><br><br>Patonga Village und Brisbane Waters National Park<br><br>Patonga ist ein kleines Fischerdorf - fabelhaft für einen idyllischen Kurzurlaub. Das von allen Seiten vom Strand, dem Bach und dem Nationalpark umgebene Dorf hat eine unberührte Atmosphäre, die so einzigartig ist, dass es in der Nähe von Sydney liegt. Das Dorf hat eine Taverne, einen Gemischtwarenladen, einen Flaschenshop, Tennisplätze, Spielplätze und ruhige Straßen zum Spazierengehen. <br><br>Patonga Beach House hat den Nationalpark am hinteren Zaun. Tatsächlich umgibt der Brisbane Waters National Park das gesamte Dorf und es gibt viele schöne Spaziergänge, die Sie unternehmen können. Die Landschaft ist großartig, die Vogelwelt ist spektakulär und Koalas können manchmal in den örtlichen Bäumen gesehen werden.

Oct 2019We were recommended this holiday house by friends and were not disappointed. Bit nervous about the crossing but made easy with Hans who was easy to contact and very helpful getting us over and settling us in. Amenities are basic but all we needed, kids loved the loft and the kayaks were such fun. Loved the fire at night, all wood supplied with thanks. Brought our dog for her first holiday and she loved it too. Small enough for her to work her way around with no trouble. Loved the beach access. Kids were out all day having fun. Will definitely be back

Oct 2022We just had the most amazing 4 nights at the beach house. Highly recommend using Hans who is the loveliest man to pick you up and take you across the river until your get your bearings. We felt right at home in the house, it has everything you need and more. Weather was perfect, lots of wildlife visitors and a huge plus that we could take our dog who had a ball on the beach out front. Hands down one of the best holidays I’ve had.

Jul 2020We had one of the best holidays our family has ever enjoyed at Peter's wonderful house at Patonga. The row-in experience is challenging but fun, and it added to the experience. We enjoyed the incredible views, the peace, the beach, the kayaks, and the beauty of Patonga immensely. A great experience!

Jul 2022The property is great. There were no hassles. Hans was terrific. All facilities and inclusions were terrific. The crossing and stairs would be difficult for some people but well worth the effort. We will certainly look at returning in the future.

Jan 2022The position of this house is absolutely amazing in an area which is incredibly rich in nature and culture. Check-in was seamless, Hans is an impeccable caretaker and arrival host and everyone we met in the neighbourhood were very friendly, respectful and unimposing. The new kitchen was excellent, canoes/tinny were very handy and our young family and dog had endless hours of fun on the beach which was only a few steps away at all times. Our only regret is not staying longer, and we hope to experience this property within each season in the future.

We were met by Hans on arrival who was kind enough to give us a tow to property in his dinghy, on check out we rowed ourselves without issue. We loved that it was remote access and this all added to the experience however, a heads up if you are planning on rowing over yourself - the rowing boat is fairly small and if you are taking a family for a few days with all of your luggage you can expect to do three or four trips back and forth. Plan for this with your arrival time and expectations. It's not a hard row, but the current can be strong and if the tide is out you will have to be mindful of the sandbars which can mean a longer way round (all well documented in the info you receive after booking). We would stay here again for sure.

Jan 2020Stayed with 2 adults and 2 kids and a small dog for 5 nights. Its a great location with lots of different ways to chill out. Float on the tide, fly a kite, walk the shore. I would recommend this place and will be back at some stage. I recommend bringing your own little outboard motor if you have one because it makes it easier to get back and forth to the caravan park if you want to go and get some take away food, visit another beach or go to one of the bushwalks around pearl beach. The Trig path to the lookout is a must.
We packed mattress toppers but didnt need them as the beds are soft enough.
The fish and chips at the boathouse was over-priced and very slow in my opinion. Better off going to Umina.

Nov 2019Our stay wa very relaxing and Hans the caretaker met us and made the boat trip and luggage delivery to the house seamless. He is very helpful and accomodating.
This is really like going back in. Time to a summer holiday by the creek and the beach Idylic !
Kitchen well equipped and beds comfortable as is try liongebans alfresco dining on the covered verandah. Can accommodate 2 couples and a couple of kids comfortably. A beautiful view of Lion island and Barrenjoey lighthouse!

Aug 2018My husband and I were able to take our 2 dogs and 2 young children and have a beautiful winter escape at this lovely house with views that were out of this world- Peter & Hans were wonderful hosts, a big thanks to you both!

Jan 2020Greeted by Hans, we felt welcomed to this lovely piece of paradise. The house was comfortable and we felt very relaxed. Rowing skills are needed to cross the river, but its worth it.
BYO- beach towels and reef shoes as alot if oysters.
We will come again, as we enjoyed the quiet and simplicity of this holiday destination. Walking on the beach, swimming, canoeing... bliss.
