Sally Stanford Ranch - Speakeasy Cottage

We had a wonderful stay in the Cottage and it was very easy to get everywhere. We really appreciated it being so well stocked! The cottage was lovely and very clean. Judy was very responsive before our arrival and made a point of introducing herself when we were outside. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the Napa/Sonoma area.

We had all the comforts of home, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Ancient oak trees, spring bulbs bloom along with wildflowers, magnolia trees blooming, grapevines, and orchards on the property with just enough space and privacy between the cottages. Love this area close to Glen Ellen/Jack London Park, also convenient to Calistoga for spa treatments and Sonoma (our favorite restaurant just off the square). Comfortable furniture, pillows, bed, inviting patio and hammock (though March rain prevented using them), and a back porch with screen door allowing fresh air and bird songs to float into the bedroom. Baseboard heating and comforters on the bed worked perfectly to keep us warm. We will definitely return!

We had a great stay at the Speakeasy cottage. The checkin process is easy, the cottage was clean, and well stocked with everything you would need for a relaxing getaway. We particularly enjoyed the wild back story of Sally Stanford and plan to read her autobiography when we get home. We hope to return for another stay soon.

We couldn't have stumbled upon a more perfect accommodation! The Speakeasy cottage was everything and more my husband and I needed during our stay. From the perfect location, the view, the spacious living area to the small details of wine, cheese and crackers waiting for us on arrival - we were so pleased. David was so easy to work with too. We will for sure book the location again on our next visit.

This cute cottage is almost across the street from St. Francis winery! It is very spacious and the outdoor patio/courtyard is delightful. David and Judy are great hosts, providing wine, cheese and other stocked items for breakfast. The house is perfect for 2 people with plenty of room to relax. I will definitely stay here again.

The property was perfect for our needs. It was nice to come back from a day of wine tasting or touring to a relaxing and quiet spot. Judy was great and the wine, cheese and granola were much appreciated.

The location is very convenient to Kenwood and Glen Ellen. Super cute property, and the house was great. Nice little backyard, new bathroom fixtures, and comfy bed. The wine, cheese, and granola were nice touches also. We cooked one night, and kitchen was well stocked. Will definitely stay again.

The cottage was very comfortable, impeccably clean, well located, and supplied in a tremendously thoughtful way. The bed was very comfortable and the fenced-in patio with seating for four and a charcoal grill very welcome. Judy is a splendid owner and a pleasure with whom to work.

Our stay at the Speakeasy Cottage was great! the home is clean and well appointed with everything necessary for comfort. The property is close to Santa Rosa Airport and Kenwood and is surrounded by multiple vinyards, and other points of interest. it's a quick scenic drive to both Sonoma and Napa. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I were in town for a friend's wedding and made a long weekend out of it to also celebrate our anniversary. This was our first time to the area and were hesitant to stay at a place with an address right on the highway, but let me assure you, once you drive onto the ranch you forget the highway is there. There are a few other cottages on the property that seemed to also be occupied but it was completely quiet day and night there. We had the pleasure of meeting Judy while walking our first day and she is just as pleasant as previous reviewers have mentioned. The communication with David throughout the reservation process was also great. They are both quick to respond and very helpful if you need a little guidance on things to do. The pictures of the cottage do not do it justice. It is quite roomy and very comfortable. Judy and David provide so many extra luxuries like orange juice, cereal and milk, a bottle of wine with crackers and cheese and much more. They've really done everything to try and make the cottage meet everyone's needs and then some. It was a great weekend of relaxation with plenty to do within close proximity of the ranch, but also plenty of accommodations to allow us to relax out back when we wanted. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Location was ideal with easy access to Sonoma, Yountville, and Santa Rosa. For two of us, the cottage was the perfect size. Amenities were aplenty and stocked with everything we could have needed. The wine and cheese in the fridge were a nice touch. The outdoor heat heat lamp on the patio was great for cool evenings. Judy and Dave were wonderful hosts; available if we needed and respected our privacy. Learning more about Sally’s story was neat, too. All in all, it was the perfect relaxing getaway and we hope to return!

Judy & David accommodated our late check in due to flight times and pick-ups. The Speakeasy Cottage was fully stocked and ready for us. They provided everything they promised. The property is beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed the drive to & from BotteRock Festival and didn't mind the distance as it gave us time to plan & then decompress from the event. We look forward to staying here again!

Judy and David Thomas were excellent hosts, they anticipate absolutely any need you may have. We have good communication and really easy check in. The cottage is locate close to many vineyards. I really was surprise to find the refrigerator complety full with basic needs, milk, butter, water, beer, wine, cheese... and in the kitchen you will find many spices, olive oil, coffee, filters, etc... We feel so good from the start that after a week we add couple days more. You just need to bring yourself everything else will be there. Judy and David, Thank you both for allowing us to use your rental. It was exactly as advertised. We had a very nice stay, everything worked well, and we took advantage of the grill to make a great dinner on the patio. The one issue we had with the umbrella on the patio was resolved immediately Judy. thanks so much and I enjoyed our conversation. The location is perfect for visiting Sonoma and Napa valleys and the surrounding communities and parks. I hope we get back to the area again, and if we do I will hope that this property is available. Had the pleasure of spending a long weekend in the Speakeasy Cottage at Sally Stanford Ranch over the 4th of July holiday. What a great property and experience. First of all, the hosts, David and Judy, were fantastic. Easy communication, easy check in. The cottage was sparkling clean, and had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. The property is beautiful and peaceful. Conveniently located to most Sonoma Co. wineries, great restaurants, great places to walk/run. We felt perfectly relaxed here. Will most definitely be back on our next trip to wine country. Thank you!

Great little cottage. Perfect for our 5 day stay in Kenwood. Clean, well appointed, comfortable, convenient and quiet. Would definitely stay again! Loved that there was coffee, milk, wine and cheese waiting for us on checkin.
