Apr 2019We were 13 people,5 of us were small people, 4 of us were of the grandparent type and the remainder were parents. The lodge worked very well for us. Each family unit had its own room or rooms and a bath. The setting was great,especially for the young children as they could play in the yard and in the lake on warmer days. Everything was clean and ready for us. It,s on a quiet, non-busy street which again was great for the children. Highly recommend and would love to come back and use again.

Oct 2020We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waikuta Lodge. I recommend to families or small working groups to take this place as a "place to be!" It was well set up; had all the mod-cons; had spaces so that you could caucus inside or outside; plenty of space; full kitchen facilities; spa and barbeque available;comfortable beds; plenty of towels . We had hui everyday on the deck under the umbrella so work spaces were set up well - back and front. The price was very affordable.

The house had everything we needed which helped to make our stay so memorable.

Jul 2020We had a lovely week here in the July school holidays.
We were a group of three families, all with teenagers, 12 of us in all.
The property was plenty large enough for us, and very warm and comfortable. It was great to be able to use the spa and kayaks.

Mar 2020We had a great time at the house. It is in a wonderful location right at the water and quiet neighbourhood. The house was spotless. If we ever make it back to New Zealand we would definitely stay here

The hot spa was a fun place for us all to hang out together. We had a place for each one of us e.g. my partner did yoga in the main bedroom while the kids all watched a movie in the lounge by the fire and some of us were in the spa or out walking by the lake. We all had perfect sleeping spaces too. The Lake was cold but good for a quick dip between spa soaks and although the kayaks weren't used, we could have, we did the luge instead. A great house for a large family. Thankyou so much, Gay and whānau.

Sep 2020This property was fabulous for my birthday. It provided comfortable sleeping arrangements for those staying over as well as plenty of room for day visitors. We were really impressed by the amount and range of crockery available for catering. Stunning views so close to the lake. Very restful and stressfree.

Oct 2022This property is immaculately presented with no end of utilities. The lodge is spacious and can accommodate a large number of people. The lodge feels like a family home, with a welcoming and comfortable layout. The location is superb, very close to the shops and attractions but still very private and quiet. Excellent property and would highly recommend.

Jan 2020This is an absolutely superb location. Plenty of room for two families and 2 sets of grandparents. Kayaks and spa were added bonus’. Recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing family break.

Nov 2019This house was perfect! The 6 of us were very comfortable and not on top of one another. The beach was so majestic and peaceful and the water was not too cold. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a day adventuring around. I would love to rent this house again..

Along with a spa pool to relax in and enjoy the gorgeous view.Nicky made us feel so welcome and the whole weekend was ideal.

With Lake Rotorua on the doorstep we had a invigorating winter's dip in the lake and then relaxed in the spa . Toys to entertain the children and sky sport for the adults. Bach was well equipped, spacious, warm and clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Nov 2019Great for a family get together. Beds very comfortable which was fabulous and lovely spaces for everyone to be together or have time of their own. Had thought there were more en-suites as 4 bathrooms , however all good.
