Jul 2021You will be disappointed if you are expecting more than a very "campie experience". Beautiful views. Home is a very old mobile home. One of the beds creaked loudly with the slightest movement & you could feel the springs poking into you. We had to stop closing the bathroom door completely as we got locked in & had to remove the doorknob to get out. We reinstalled the doorknob but could no longer close the door completely for fear it would happen again. The outdoor gas grill was encrusted with food probably left by the prior tenant. It would have been hours of scraping & cleaning so we did not get to use it.

Jun 2020While this was not a first rate property, it's location certainly is... There was insufficient cookware and utensils, but we had our own. A plus was comfortable furniture and a great view. I wish we'd been given info on garbage pick up and the use of the adjustable screens... we are not from here so it took us a few days to figure out we could use them in order to keep the windows open. Overall a nice place.

Aug 2021We were surprised that we got no check in instructions, it was odd to just walk in the door and find the key hanging on a nail. The house number was painted the same color as the railing, and we didn’t see it until our last day there. Beds could use a topper to improve the mattress. All in all it was a good rental, and a reasonable price.

Nov 2017We were looking for a place to stay that would allow us to explore the Saratoga Springs area. While the accommodations were not luxurious, it had everything we needed and it was close to Saratoga. The neighborhood was quiet and we got to watch the ducks on the lake every morning before setting off for the day. One thing that would have been nice was a sheet with instructions from the home owner: e.g. Wi-Fi password, what we were expected to do with linens at the end of our stay, etc. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Nov 2018We were able to bring our dogs and found it comfortable for all of us. We enjoyed the closeness to the lake and went out paddling a couple times.
Clean and had all we needed for cooking, etc.

Jul 2019We rented this place in large part based on the description, “This property offers a quiet relaxing atmosphere”, and “A private dock is also provided for your pleasure.”
Unfortunately, we were awoken before 9am the first morning of our stay by five very loud children running around and playing in the back yard of the property, and playing on, jumping off, and fishing from, the “private dock”. This continued the entire day, and the next day.
We had expected to be able to sit in the back yard and enjoy the view while reading and relaxing, but when we tried, we were effectively accosted by the children who would not stop running up to us and “greeting” us with friendly but not very welcome “Hi!, who are you!?” ,and “What are you dooing!?” The more we tried to politely ignore them, the more insistent they became that we give them attention. Eventually we gave up and needed to go inside on that beautiful summer day.
I hoped to swim, fish, and get some sun on the dock, but had no intention of de facto babysitting five unsupervised children fishing from, jumping off of and swimming directly next to and all around the same “private” dock. Bear in mind, we like children, raised our own, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with their behavior.
I contacted the owners with our concerns and astonishingly received a response that, “It’s a shared dock for the two houses….”, along with an offer to contact the parents, the point of which was lost on me as it was apparently their dock too and I certainly did not want an issue with our neighbors for three days.
Seeing as “shared” and “private” are opposites, the description was written to intentionally mislead prospective renters. If you actually want a quiet relaxing atmosphere and your own dock to use, do not rent here!

May 2022We had a great time. Unfortunately we were there on the gnat hatching weekend in early May so we could not be outside, at all. Swarms of gnats everywhere. No fault of any ones, just a warning to not go to this area that time of year.

Nov 2018This property is on the lake and sadly we had poor weather to be able to enjoy the lakeside. Inside is a never upgraded 1960's trailer that is clean, but worn. Lots of stains that could not be removed from wallpaper, walls, sinks. Good for a family that wanted a "Lake outdoor theme."
The leather couch was torn and the landlord came early one morning to apologize--was quite odd and uncertain why he came by at that time as we did not make any comments anywhere.
We liked having the bedrooms on opposite ends of the trailer as hubby snores and then daughter does not sleep. Had enough room between to muffle the sound.
Had lots of kitchen items, but appeared to be leftovers from other settings as had no cereal bowls, but many cups and plates.
The owner gave us a wrong address and we arrived quite late in the evening. Address was to another long term lease that the owner had and luckily the lights were on and when we approached that house, we could see someone inside sleeping on the couch.
We re-looked at the website and were able to find the correct home from the map. Picture was for the home next to the trailer--but we knew that the rental was a single story home. The owners may want to update the website to reflect this home rather than the larger one next door as confusing.
Owners were responsive and caring.

Aug 2022The residence could use a little tlc, but overall it served it's purpose of a fishing trip and place to stay. Nice hardwood floors and vinyl elsewhere. There's a tv, wifi, kitchen with everything, firepit and gas grill. Owner of the nearby marina also owns this home. We dropped our boat from the marina. Docked our boat at the residence dock, but was charged again when taking the boat out of the water.

Jun 2019The pictures provided are done just right so you do not see the problems with the unit as well as they are older than current state of unit. First off, it is a mobile trailer and not an actual house. There are holes in the walls, drip marks on walls, dead bugs on the sills, live bugs inside, fridge bottom shelf is broken, the stove top stays warm all the time, the pictures of backyard is of the neighbors and the "private dock" is a plastic Lego walkway halfway under water. There was visible dirt on the counters and sinks, the beds had sand and pebbles in them. Overall, I would not recommend this unit at all.

Aug 2020The location was perfect for a summer getaway on the lake. The location is fantastic with access to lots of different family friendly activities. The property owners were extremely attentive and responsive to any requests we had with regards to the property. We live in the city and wanted to get away. This was the perfect place for the perfect price.

Dec 2021Second stay here while visiting family in the area. New Mattresses! Very clean! It is an older trailer but it is very nice having the bedrooms on opposite sides of the trailer when traveling with family. Perfect location. We will be back.

Aug 2021Place was not cleaned before we got there....filthy....trailer 60 years old or more....cant fix it ...need something new....spoke to owner 2 days after leaving message ...we cleaned, he kept fees....it is what it is, a very bad advertisement.

Oct 2021On the plus side, the location and setting is pretty. Marina next door can be noisy but also entertaining while watching the boats come in and out. The place needs a lot of work done inside and outside. We stayed in June and left suggestion notes for improvement. Nothing was done. Came back because we had booked it for three weeks in September and it was non refundable. Bathroom is disgusting. We bought a shower curtain to replace the gross moldy one. Water stains on walls and rust marks, and exhaust fan doesn't work. Mouse droppings in the kitchen silverware drawers and pots and pans. Mold and mildew in all window channels. Ceiling fan in living room filthy, had to clean. Dryer took three 60 minute cycles to dry. The waterfront is not condusive to swimming due to heavy accumulation of lake weed growth and dead fish. Could go on and on... Sorry, but we're not staying there again.

Oct 2021Online renting/availability calendar and check in process had a few glitches but problems were ultimately resolved. The kitchen was well outfitted and the back yard was a delightful place to be.

Jul 2021Location was beautiful right on the water but the property needs a lot of updating and some cleaning. The mattress was hard and you could feel the springs. They had outdated wall paper in the bedrooms and bathroom. The bathroom needs a lot of work. The property has potential but it needs a lot of TLC. The owner was responsive but didn't communicate regarding details for check in prior to arrival we had to call to inquire about how to access the property and process for check out.
