We stayed here a whole month and absolutely loved it. Can't beat the sunny and cool Ventura weather and all of the outstanding recreational activities. The views from the balcony were mesmerizing. We regularly enjoyed relaxing on the patio, taking in the view of the ocean and nearby Channel Islands. Christy and Tim were phenomenal hosts. Very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed getting to know them. The guest house was perfect for the two of us. Had everything we needed.

We LOVE staying here. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for our needs. The patios are lovely for breakfast. The stairway, the gardens, the tile work - it is all so beautiful and gives us a lovely little sanctuary when visiting family in the area.

We loved our stay at the Sleepy Cat. Everything was perfect. We will definitely return the next time we are looking to stay in Ventura.

Very beautifully decorated and all the features you need for a short stay. The owners were very nice and offered the use of the laundry as well. We’re in our late 70s so the steps up the hillside with our luggage were a bit daunting.

This was a wonderful place to enjoy some personal time and escape for the long weekend. The bungalow is stocked with all the necessities one would expect and a few extras. Really enjoyed the privacy and location.

This space was exactly what I was looking for... a private, quiet yet beautiful location to celebrate my birthday. The location is in a lovely neighborhood, the views are gorgeous and the cottage is small yet has everything we needed. Thank you so much Christy for having us.

The rental includes access to a beautiful patio, that has a view of the ocean a couple of miles away. The beach isn't a short walk; more of a short drive of 5-10 minutes. Everything was immaculate; we were confident that there was little Covid risk.

This charming cottage is bright in charm and color. Very peaceful place with patio’s to relax while having our morning coffee. We had all the amenities we needed and our host was available if we needed anything or had a question. Parking was a little tight, and many stairs, but we managed just fine. Don’t let the stairs scare you.

The Sleepy Cat Inn is a wonderful little cottage in midtown, Everything you need. Great location. Enjoyed all the patio eating and the ocean views. A lovely retreat.

The property was clean and amazing in most ways. I do feel the full picture of the property is not conveyed on the listing. I felt very "private" as the owners were away most of my stay. But I had specifically asked via email if the patiio with the ocean view was private and was told yes. I would say it was "semi private" - it is right in front of the front picture window of the owners' home. They give you exclusive use of it but it is not totally private. I would say semi private. What isn't shown is the owners' home is directly in front of the cottage and your windows look out at the back of their home with thin curtains. There was nice foliage in front of living area but bedroom felt a little exposed. As a single traveler, the space was ideal for one...for two with a longer stay, not sure? Only one comfy chair in small living area and nowhere else comfortable to sit for a second person to watch TV, etc. I do believe the outdoor spaces make up for that, though. Again, the view and location are AMAZING and the cottage had all you need for a very lovely stay. Loved the spanish tile, etc. Ventura was amazing and the view from deck made the location for sure! Again, just think people should be made aware that this is a shared property and the deck with view is in front of owners' home not directly off the cottage. All in all, it was a lovely stay.

The bungalow was just right for a week stay. It is adorably furnished, queen bed, small kitchen for cooking, gorgeous views from the patio. Close to great restaurants and beaches and other small beach towns. Tim, the host was so friendly and knows Ventura well - he gave us great suggestions about where to go. Loved it!

The bungalow is just as described online. It’s cozy and nicely appointed. It’s quaint, comfortable, and quiet. And there are lovely outdoor seating areas to enjoy. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Really excellent small space on a beautiful well maintained property. Just what we needed. I did wish at one point there was a place for 2 people to cuddle up and watch some TV -but in such a beautiful area we found lots to do to entertain us.
