Von oben bis unten sehr gepflegt, die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet, Kaffee, Tee. 800 ct Bettwäsche und super dicke Handtücher für Ihren Aufenthalt. Die extragroße Außenterrasse ist ideal für morgendliche Sonnenaufgänge und Ihren Kaffee und ein großartiger Ort, um den spektakulären Nachthimmel zu betrachten. Der Poolbereich befindet sich am Haupthaus, nur wenige Schritte von Ihrem Cottage entfernt. Er ist gut abgesichert für Gäste mit kleinen Kindern und verfügt über eine große Terrasse mit Baldachin und Lichtern. Wir sind 7 Minuten von der territorialen Hauptstadt Oklahoma-Guthrie entfernt, wo wir viele verschiedene Festivals feiern. Ein Besuch in der Stadt zeigt viele viktorianische Gebäude und Antiquitätenläden. Beide staatlichen Universitäten sind innerhalb einer Stunde erreichbar. Schöne sanfte Hügel in Zentral-Oklahoma, reich an Rehen und viel Truthahn. Sep 2018You won't find a better place to sit back and relax! We loved the animals (dogs, cats, alpacas, goats, including two new babies!). Lu Ann and Don were the perfect hosts! When I requested the reservation I got an INSTANT confirmation and they were just as quick to respond to every inquiry! The place is nice and quiet and the deck is just wonderful! The stars are so bright from the front deck and the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful with nothing to distract! Breakfast each day was really good-not sure if the muffins or the breakfast casserole was best-but each day started out perfectly because of the breakfast! Lu Ann just leaves it on the deck so get up whenever you like! Super friendly country folks without a lot of rules! Can't be beat! You do have to traverse one mile of unpaved county road to get to the house but everything else WAY outweighs that one small negative! You'll love it!

Apr 2017We will be back! What better way to summarize our stay. The property was easy to find with easy access. Almost all blacktop to arrive at a secluded house/cabin in the green hills of Oklahoma. Cattle were visible in the distance most of the time....and it was so quiet. The house was just as represented by the pictures and VERY clean. Sitting on the large deck early in the morning was a perfect way to start the day. Breakfast each morning provided by our hostess was fantastic! They really make you feel at home. Thanks for the experience.

Nov 2021We loved the charming house and really appreciated the hospitality of the hosts, who baked delicious muffins for us in the morning, a wonderful added touch! We were on 35 minutes from OSU. It was a beautiful sunrise each morning and quietly peaceful ❤️

Oct 2022This is a wonderful place for a quiet and relaxing getaway! Our two favorite things? The beautiful night sky and the delicious breakfasts (Lu Ann delivered the best breakfast casserole we've ever eaten on one morning, and muffins in the flavor of our choice for two mornings). They were even kind enough to keep the pool open for us. Internet (both the provided internet and our own mobile data) was very slow - but we didn't mind at all. It helped us avoid being stuck on our screens. The weather was hot (100 degrees) but the cottage AC had no problem keep it cool inside, and there were plenty of ceiling fans, too. The living room/kitchen and outside deck are on the east side of the cottage - which meant wonderful views of the sunrise each morning. We wanted a place to relax and rest...this was just what we were looking for!

Mar 2019The farm, house, and accommodations were perfect. Lu Ann was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Her casserole breakfast with biscuits was DELICIOUS. We had so much leftover that we shared some with our friends. We struggled with the wall stove but that's simply because we'd never used one before. It was lovely waking up to the quiet and farm sounds. I enjoyed sitting on the deck in the cool spring air and reading my book before my family woke up. The drive to town was quick and very easy. I'd definitely return!

May 2020The country setting is ideal, the Wilsons are so kind, and the muffins are excellent. You can enjoy a pleasant walk down the country roads and maybe find some sand plums and wild blackberries by the pastures and fields. As I write this a wild turkey is gobbling down the road. It’s a fun getaway spot.

Jul 2020My husband and I so enjoyed a quiet weekend in Guthrie! The Wilcox family was so pleasant and accommodating and the property was better than we imagined- the cottage is simple and clean and the area with the pet alpacas, cows in the next pasture, country roads, and super nice pool made it for us. Also, do yourself a favor and get the stuffed strawberry muffins!

May 2018Laid back simple cottage, 2 bedroom 1 bath, full kitchen, fully furnished, great deck, great views, friendly neighbors. You do have to drive a mile of gravel toad. 4 miles to Guthrie. Perfect for us!

Jul 2021It was a great stay for a great vacation! Beautiful view and owners who made us feel right at home. Lots to do in the town of Guthrie just 3 miles away. Google Maps worked best to get us there. No complaints!

Oct 2017Beyond the Hill House was perfect for our weekend trip! Lu Ann and Don were fantastic hosts and the muffins waiting for us when we woke up each morning were amazing! There was plenty of room in the home for relaxing, watching television, and cooking. The large deck was so nice to watch the sunrise over the farm. If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing country home this is the place for you! We will definitely be back!

May 2019Beautiful country setting. We watched deer, wild turkeys, and coyotes in the pastures, took some pleasant walks down the roads, and loved our mornings and evenings on the deck. The weather wasn't the most cooperative, but the owners were there to help with any needs we had.
Lu Ann and Don were absolutely wonderful, and Lu Ann's muffins were outstanding (we had the caramel delight muffins one morning and strawberry/cream cheese muffins the next morning). We definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to get away to the country for a couple of days.
