Jun 2020Wonderful spot near the high peaks. Screened in porch was awesome. The kitchen was well stocked. This was our 3rd rental in the last 2 months, and the was the cleanest! Definitely recommend!

This was probably one of the best Holidays we’ve had in a long time. Our friends were able to join us and the seven of us slept comfortably. The cherry on this sundae was the snowfall which turned this diamond into a winter wonderland.

Also, very convenient to get to surrounding spots like Falls Gorge, Whiteface gondola and downtown Lake Placid. We enjoyed the fire pit, and our two sons loved having the upstairs to themselves. We highly recommend!

Jul 2019We had plenty of space for 4 adults. The kitchen had every gadget you could ever imagine needing. Plenty of towels and bathroom space. Great screened in porch. Nice yard and space for your dog. Super quiet location but really close to town.

Dec 2019We had a wonderful stay with 5 adults and 3 dogs. We enjoyed dog walks around both the neighborhood and Mirror Lake. We had a wonderful feast in to give thanks and enjoyed downtown.

Jul 2021we had a lovely visit to the high peaks area. the house was clean, well located, nicely tucked in the forrest. it was also easy to work remotely from which we did for several days of our visit. great for our dog too. highly recommend

Feb 2020We had a great time at the chalet, had over a foot of snow and just really enjoyed it all. Gas stove was great at keeping the house warm and kitchen was stocked. Beds were a little stiff but we really enjoyed our time overall

Apr 2021This home was great and in a perfect location - a short drive to town, about 20 mins to Whiteface, very close to the ski jumps and about 20 mins from Van Hoevenberg. Kitchen had everything we needed. Very cozy, clean and updated chalet. Would love to return in nicer weather to enjoy the great screened in porch and fire pit! Highly recommend.

Jul 2022This home was a great place for our two families to stay. We were able to each have our own space and also share the communal living and eating areas. The kitchen is well stocked. Our favorite spot was probably the front porch that receives the afternoon sun. We enjoyed grilling and hanging out on the deck and yard.

Sep 2021This chalet is in a great location. It's close to town and all the sites. Everything was within driving distance. It was nice to have a place away from the traffic and people. It felt like camping - we had campfires, it was private and quiet. The house was very cozy and had all amenities. I would stay here again!

Dec 2019The reason I give this property a 3 star is primarily due to the mattresses. My daughter and I didn't receive a single good nights sleep which caused us to be very tired and irritable each day. I have stayed in Lake Placid every December for the last 5 years and unfortunately this was our only bad visit. In addition, the Chalet does need some repairs/upgrades, too campy.

Aug 2019The Chalet was great for our two week stay in Lake Placid area. Liked that it was a bit away from the village but still close, and River Rd is a great place to bike. Also got us closer to Wilmington and the hikes and restaurants there. The house was comfortable and well-equipped with everything for the kitchen etc. The beds were comfortable and living space great - really like the large deck and screened porch. Minor details - the spiral staircase for the 2 upstairs bedrooms could be challenging for older people or very young children but was unique. The upstairs shower pressure / shower head was low and hard to use....the downstairs bathroom was great. The neighborhood with dead end streets was easy to walk the dogs and reduced traffic. However, the heavy equipment/trucks starting up next door at 7:00 AM on weekdays ruined the tranquility but thankfully only lasted awhile until they left for the day. Otherwise it was a great two week vacation!!

We spent almost a week with our 6, 8, 10 year old humans and our favorite 1 year old pup. It was definitely one of the top 2 most relaxing vacations ever. The town is a close 8-10 minute drive, and has the best vibes. The Olympic jumping center is only a couple minutes away, and this house was centrally located to all of our other plans for the week (Whiteface hiking, Ausable Chasm, High Falls Gorge, Saranac Lake, etc.). I can’t even explain how delicious the nearby corner store/deli is, and the restaurants along Main Street were super good. The busy days and relaxing nights around the perfect fire pit were truly peaceful. We would’ve extended our trip in a heartbeat if it wasn’t booked (we checked). We would all definitely come back!

Aug 2020No peace and quiet whatsoever. Had to close all windows, doors and skylight to sleep at night. The back neighbor had a continuous loud party For our entire time there. 25-30 cars every night, professional DJ, bouncy house, Pool parties, Karaoke, and best of all professional fireworks at 9:00 on Saturday night directly over our rental. Overly Loud and obnoxious. Compressors running, lawnmowers, screw guns, hammers, yelling. Not the quiet ADK getaway we waited for all year along. Loud music was unbearable. I can tell you, They do like Bob seager, bruce springsteen and billy idol playing at 70db. Will stay in Wilmington next time
