Dec 2021We were very comfortable staying there as it was very close to the Daylesford Lake, Jubilee Lake and the Thomas' Lookout. We were also very comfortable sleeping during the night.

Only problem, key box located high on wall. Impossible for a 5’1” female 70+ to reach and read numbers. Husband recovering from surgery couldn’t help much. Rang host who sent someone to help immediately. Absolutely no complaint re response and assistance. I believe this is the usual means of access. I am apprehensive about booking again. A host may not always be so readily available as this one was.

Sep 2019This was a great little retreat. We had everything we needed for ourselves and for our border collie. Only two things- I thought firewood was included- and there was a all basket but we had to buy more. Also Ladies- the hairdryer isn't amazing and if you are like me with long hair, I would recommend you Byo.

We stayed here with friends and had a great time.
Annie was a fabulous host and checked in with us before the weekend.

Mar 2022This property is delightful. A Kookaburra theme is evident here, and the 2 bedroom cottage is extremely comfortable and clean. King sized beds, beautiful bathroom, open fire for the cooler months. Walking distance to the lake and to the Main Street.

Feb 2021The Kookaburra cottage is quite literally in a prime position being a couple of minute walk from the town shops and also a short walk (5 mins) to the lake.
A couple of doors down is a also a park with a playground.
The cottage is dog friendly with a secure big backyard, outdoor dog house and dog bowls however you are welcome to have the dogs indoors whilst you are there. A Dyson vacuum cleaner so you can vacuum up after yourself/ your dog too :)
There is Wifi and a smart TV with Netflix if you are feeling a little lazy.
If you are travelling as two singles, make sure you let them know and you can pay an additional fee to have access to both rooms.
Great check out time at 11am allows a little bit more time in the morning without having to rush.
The property is affordable (unlike many others in Daylesford).
Lovely spa bath with a shower over the top of the bath. If you were travelling with a senior/ someone who has impaired mobility, the shower may be difficult to manage as you have to step into the spa bath.
Would recommend to others and would return :)

Dec 2021The house is fantastic and so close into town. A big backyard for our puppy to have a run around. Will definitely try and come back. Can only highly recommend if you want a pet friendly holiday.

Jun 2022The highlights of our trip were the location as you are able to walk to shops, lake, botanic gardens, mill etc. Our teenagers could be independent to move around and were happy. I thought the linen was nice, great shower, open fire (bring own wood) and good size backyard for pooch to run around. The cons are traffic noise at main front room. Extremely bad WiFi and some kitchen items need updating. Overall a great weekend away with my family and cavoodle and we would definitely stay again.
