Nov 2020What an outstanding property. Beautiful location, but the detail and thoughtfulness inside this delightful cottage makes for a truly wonderful escape. I had a wonderful stay and recommend this property highly.

Plus three good sized rooms; nice big table at which we played endless card games; comfy couches to watch tv, read books or watch the sunset. And the best of all, a short walk down to the beach and numerous bushwalks.

A comfortable, relaxed, quiet space with a verandah for wildlife watching, and an easy walk to beautiful Bosum’s Beach. Everything you need and more for a stress free stay. Highly recommended.

Sep 2022We really enjoyed our four night stay here. The house is well appointed and has a lovely, clean beach house feel. We had a wallaby visitor and went for walks to the beach and through the bush. Our old dog relaxed on the deck - perfect spot to unwind. Huskisson for lunch was an easy trip and Zac’s for burgers and fish and chips was brilliant. Thank you!

Sep 2020We loved so much about our stay at Kookaburra cottage.... the thoughtful touches, being sounded by nature, and the prompt and friendly communication with our hosts. To our delight, a variety of native birdlife visited the garden, including our very own kookaburra!! We would recommend highly to others.

Mar 2021We loved our stay at Kookaburra, a clean and comfortable "home away from home". Lovely to relax on the deck and take in the bush land setting at the top of the town. Abrahams Bosom beach a 10 min walk is also beautiful.

Oct 2022We have stayed at Kookaburra Cottage a few times now and absolutely love it. Peter and Mari are great hosts and we love how they have made the cottage so cosy and comfortable. A lovely mix of contemporary coastal with vintage touches. I feel relaxed as soon as we walk in. It’s well equipped with everything you need from serving platters and glasses to board games and Netflix. We’ll be back!

Nov 2021We had unseasonably poor weather for November so our trips around Jervis Bay were not quite as we had anticipated. However, Kookaburra cottage has everything needed for a cosy stay and we put the living room heater to good use. The facilities are excellent and we thoroughly recommend the accommodation.

Apr 2021We had a superb 3 nights in this charming place, so close to the amazing walks and coastline of Currarong. We loved the fact that the property backs onto the National Park - and the kookaburras and kangaroos, an added extra bonus. Quiet, clean, restful and comfortable. Many thanks!

Oct 2020We had a lovely, relaxed stay here. The area is quiet and the house block backs onto bushland. Zac's is a nice walk away for coffee and fish/chips and we had quite a few bushwalks and beach visits.

Nov 2020We had a brilliant stay at Kookaburra Cottage. The house is lovely- clean, tidy and beautifully decorated, lots of space and a well fitted out kitchen. The deck is amazing, facing the bush. We saw kangaroos hop past us both nights as well as kookaburras and other beautiful birds. Very peaceful and a short walk to the beach- highly recommended!

Sep 2020We enjoyed our stay very much and loved everything - the house, its location near the bush and wildlife and the local area. We have stayed just for a couple of nights and would have liked to stay longer but still managed to do everything we wanted - lots of walks and relax and enjoy the place. Just perfect. It would be nice in summer when it's warm enough to go swimming with so many places nearby to choose from. Couldn't be better :)

Aug 2022This is such a special home; cosy (loved the new reverse cycle air conditioner!), clean and a perfect base to explore all Currarong has to offer. Peter and Mari are wonderful and thoughtful hosts. I can’t recommend highly enough. 6 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It took a number of attempts before we managed to open the door.Arriving at 9 on Friday makes it impossible to shower as the we needed to switch on the hot water system and it takes a number of hours before it preheats. Perhaps, gas would be a solution.Tea and coffee would be a welcome addition. Thoughtful addition of books, movies and board games were greatly appreciated.

Apr 2022The house and location was perfect ! We enjoyed having dinners on the deck looking at the beautiful surrounding bush land . Even spotted a couple of kangaroos at sunrise. The outdoor shower was also fun !
