Dec 2020Wonderful piece of land. Picturesque garden with a running river stream that is accessible at the back. Very well maintained gardens, matured trees well trimmed and turf regularly cut. Full of cicada's making deafening noises and plenty of flies.

Feb 2021We were very impressed with the property. The owner had gone to a lot of trouble to make the guests feel welcome. The house was full of antiques and held something of interest in every corner. The extensive grounds with their beautiful gardens which led down to the river were magnificent. The pool was delightful and the location offering such a short walk to town was great.

Dec 2019We loved it, a very nice place to stay in Kangaroo Valley. Karen was great in welcoming and providing all the information we needed to get in and settled. There were some nice treats and bubbles to welcome us too. Nice location, gardens and pool.

Sep 2020Such a beautiful place, Karen has thought of everything to make her guests feel very welcome in her idyllic getaway. My sister and I enjoyed our time here breathing in the country air, listening to the running river and the birds, with a cup of tea and the home-made shortbread Karen left us.

Oct 2020Property was old and quite located near Kangaroo River. Which is exactly what we needed to get away from city life. My 3 year daughter loved it and wanted to stay there more. Fresh Cake was so good. Was better if weather was not cloudy and rainy. Last day was good weather. Would love to get back there.

Nov 2019Our stay at Hampdon house was an extremely beautiful and relaxing Experience. Only a short stroll to the main town but far enough away to be quiet. It has everything you need with great quality amenities from the Sheridan sheets/towels to the scanpan in the kitchen. Even though this is an old home it is beautifully maintained. Karen has an amazing eye for detail, I loved the little extras like the champagne, chocolates cake and more! making this the most relaxing two days I’ve had in a long time.

Feb 2020On our trip from Sydney Karen contacted us with information regarding the safety of roads following torrential rains. This was a very thoughtful gesture.
Our accommodation was beautiful. An historic cottage on the banks of a wonderful river. Vast garden area with beautifully kept garden beds.
Champagne, cake , chocolates, bread, eggs and a home full of wonderfully kept memorabilia awaited us.
Thank you for a most comfortable stay.

Jul 2020Karen’s property was such a wonderful stay. Right from the start we were welcomed with champagne, fresh bread, chocolates and cake. The personal touches made us feel immediately at home and it was amazing to see the history of the house as it had been passed down through the generations. Will definitely be recommending this to friends and family!

Jun 2020Karen’s peppery is exceptional. She went above and beyond to make our stay special, the sponge cake, champagne, fresh bread and butter were show stoppers. The property is secluded and private but still a short walk into the main strip of Kangaroo Valley. Will definitely be back.

Dec 2019Hampden House is a wonderful stay. Far enough out of the village to avoid any crowds close enough to walk to for a Spiced Pumpkin Latte. As described, this 4 bedroom cottage is a slice of yesteryear, with a sprinkling of family heritage throughout. The private pool was a delight on a warm summers day, and the air conditioned interior was a wonderful escape from the flies!! Karens homemade Victoria Sponge with real cream was a wonderful treat on arrival and the weekend only got better from there.

Feb 2020A superb property with a fascinating history located in an ideal spot,the gardens are beautiful bordered by a river, the standard of this property was amazing. Karen the host was excellent nothing being too much trouble for her,and constantly cared about your well being.
