Oct 2022We stayed at this home in mid-September. It was just after busy season and the home was in need of a deep cleaning but not filthy. The house was on the main road through the campground which made it a little hard to get in and out in a vehicle. This home is rented through itrips. You have to go to the itrips office to get the keys and return the keys by 10 am on day of checkout. It seems like it would be easier to have a lockbox with the keys outside the home. Itrips also sent text messages on the next to last day of our vacation giving us checkout instructions that they already gave us multiple times and requesting that we let them know as soon as possible what time we would be checking out the following morning.There was also a leak under kitchen sink that we were not made aware of, someone had placed a bowel under the sink to catch the water.

Apr 2019We really enjoyed the house. It was nicely decorated and comfortable and perfect for our family's needs. It was centrally located and we loved being able to grill out on the front porch. The only thing that would have made it better is if the house had WIFI and if we didn't have to go off site to get the keys to the house. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Jun 2021We really enjoyed our week at this property. It was clean, but the comforter and decor pillows on the bed looked kind of dirty. Overall we were happy but had minor things that could use improvements. The sheets on the beds were very rough and uncomfortable and felt worse with sunburn so you may wanna bring your own sheets. However, having a golf cart was so convenient, especially with 2 little ones!! The home is convenient located on main ocean lakes drive but traffic is steady in front of the house so be aware if bringing children. It has a decent porch with outdoor table and chairs which was nice to sit outside enjoying the weather. Ocean lakes does not rent out this property; the home is rented/managed by a company called iTrip which is 10-20 minutes away from ocean lakes depending on traffic which was inconvenient. We went to get our parking passes from ocean lakes ( as we arrived 1 hour before our scheduled check in time and our house was not ready yet); so we had to get back in the car (after a 5 hour car ride) to get the keys for the home (the little ones were very upset as they wanted to go straight to the water park). We originally began booking through VRBO to reserve the property and paid the deposit but then I was instructed by iTrip to use their website to finish paying off the vacation; so I am not sure if we will ever get our security deposit back or not because upon check out this morning, the iTrip staff had no knowledge of when or who handles refunding deposits. I also noticed that on the fees for booking page, VRBO charges were more then the iTrip charges.

A good thing about staying in the same place is you know what to expect. I know to take a baking sheet/pizza pan because we could never find something to use in the oven. To the owner, thank you for sharing this great house with others. I had the pleasure of meeting you twice and know you take care of this home as you drive in to check up on it.

Jun 2016We enjoyed our stay in this home. It was very clean and spacious and easy to get around the campground with the golf cart. The pictures doesn't do this home justice. The only thing I wished it had was more cook ware but we made do with what it had. The grill was great to fix a nice meal for the family. We hope we can enjoy this home again in the years to come.

Mar 2021We enjoyed our stay and the convenient location to Murrells Inlet. The home is nicely equipped, other than a Keurig. It is on the main drag of campground, very busy traffic, but we enjoyed watching all the golf carts and campers going by. The golf cart is great and operated perfectly.

Jun 2019We are having a great time and really like this home. Great location, very clean and modern, very comfortable. We love coming back to it throughout the day. Nicely decorated. Has almost everything we needed. Golf cart was clean and worked great. Love the big front deck porch and six person table and chairs. Ate breakfast and dinner there almost every night. Very spacious. Will definitely try to stay here again!

Jul 2019This was the perfect little house for our getaway. It was well kept and clean. The fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill made it easy to eat at the house. It is on the main strip with easy access to the amenities. Would highly recommend.

Oct 2018This was our second time staying in this house The ad on this house said newly decorated nothing had changed from the year before the living room has the most uncomfortable furniture in it I think the rent was high for that time of the year the television was awful was awful we will not rent this house again

Very accommodating for our party of 4. The campground was idea and the golf car coming with the house was perfect. Had a few cool nights which made us have to use the furnace (which we had to argue with due to it being preprogrammed but we figured it out)
In addition to the hose on the side of the house, I’d suggest maybe a small power washer available for porch usage. We cleaned the deck furniture with a whole roll of paper towels and lots of soap and water, only to find the next morning all the pollen and debris from the shade tree was back. WiFi would be a greatful bonus as we blew thru data but rainy cool days will do that to us. Very comfy beds ! Shower was great in the master. Washer and dryer was very handy and worked out great for us.

Mar 2020The property was such a perfect location to the beach and community activity at the camp ground. 5 minute walk to the beach. Golf cart was a big plus! many ceiling fans made the place very comfortable. Great response on need for a replacement on the gas grill, the owner provided a brand new one within the first week we were there.

Sep 2016The house I rented at Ocean Lakes was very nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay there. It was nice not having to being all of our own linens. However, I wouldn't rent it again only because I did not have the best experience dealing with Dave from Itrip. I had a couple of issues and I feel he was rude and doesn't possess the best customer service skills. Also, when we got to ocean lakes we were missing some papers in our packet from itrip. The owner of the house actually stopped by to apologize and said he has had this issue before. In my opinion the rental property would be easier to rent if it were rented through ocean lakes or the owner himself.

Umbrella is mesh material and you can't tilt it to alleviate the direct sunlight. Overall the house was amazing and spacious. Would recommend for anyone looking for a great family vacation!!!

Jul 2018Our family just returned from a stay in Ocean Lakes at N106. We would definitely rent this house again and are actually trying to find a week next summer when we can stay and this house is available. The review lost a star because when we arrived the floors and the area rugs were absolutely filthy. We tried washing them ourselves with the limited cleaning supplies but could not get the greasy black stuff off of the floors. The rest of the house was clean, we think something must have happened before we arrived that laid down such a black greasy layer of stuff. The cleaning company did come out to re-clean the floors and the person truly cleaned but our feet and socks continued to be covered in black stuff for a couple of days until it wore off or was picked up by our feet. With all that being said about the floors we still enjoyed our stay at this house. Below is a list of things we liked and some information for future renters.

There was no working outdoor shower, foot wash, or hose. There was an outdoor shower and foot wash but the water was turned off.
Info for future renters
The house does not include very much cookware. If you like to cook each day you may want to bring some of your favorite cookware. You can make the existing cookware work as we did.
The coffee pot makes just OK coffee. If you are more particular about coffee, you may want to bring your own.
The toaster will not fit a bagel. We like bagels each day so we just flattened them so they would fit in the toaster.
You may want extra kitchen towels and pot holders, one of each was provided.

Jun 2016Had a wonderful week in this home. Very clean and spacious. The pictures doesn't do it justice. In the middle of campground so everything was easy access. The rental company was easy to deal with and had a wonderful experience. The golf cart was also nice to get around the campground. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were as well. We will look forward to staying again. Thanks for a great time.

Sep 2019Great home with great amenities offered through ocean lakes, a short walk across the street to the store and grille or a two minute golf cart ride to the pool and beach. Beautiful little home with everything and more that we expected. Will definitely look into staying at this place again, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed it !

Jul 2020Check in was a complete nightmare!!!! Rental place.... had me come pick up my keys. But didn’t put the golf cart key in the package. Had to drive 25 min in traffic back to get the key. Then once arrived back to the rental property the golf cart battery wasn’t charged. Had to walk to different locations for a few hours... very annoying experience
