Oct 2019We were really happy with this property. It is in a great location, close to the main drag of town, and was super cozy. The house was clean and welcoming and the property manager is right across the street. The email confirmations and reminders were very helpful and explained all the details. The price was reasonable. We would definitely stay again.

Aug 2022We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the North Creek cottage. Upon our arrival, everything was exceptionally clean and ready for our stay. Not only was it cozy and comfortable, but we found it well stocked with anything we might need. The full-sized kitchen and outdoor grill were especially nice as we brought our own food for meals. They were very thoughtful with kitchen supplies, even multiple ice trays, paper towels and a card for the local grocery store. The bed we used was comfy and I loved the bright and spacious bathroom!

Sep 2021We stayed for 4 days/3 nights, all six of us had plenty of room and the owners were amazing with communicating and making sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend to anyone who wanted a nice quiet stay.

Oct 2020We loved our stay at this lovely little home. The beds are so comfy. I don't remember the last time I slept so well. It is well stocked with all the essentials you would ever need. Just like home! It is conveniently within walking distance to town where there are many places to eat and shop. There is a shuttle near by (it was off season for us) that takes you to local attractions. After a busy day, settling down by the fire pit at night was a nice treat. The owners and caretakers are lovely and very accommodating. My only complaint is sadly we had to leave. Cannot wait to go back!

Jun 2021We just loved it they had two tvs which was awesome and they had Netflix and they actually had cable which really surprised me working wifi the kitchen is just beautiful with all the amenities and the fire pit was awesome it was very clean and would be glad to come back here

Feb 2018We had a nice stay in North Creek. The house was very neat and clean and was perfect for a family of 5 with 3 small kids. We spent our days at Gore and at night either cooked or ate at Basil and Wicks. The only hiccup would be that we lost WiFi on our last night. Not really an issue because the kids had board games and a working DVD player in the kids room. We would rent again.

Feb 2022We felt very comfortable here. It’s obvious the owners care about the property and their guests, with recent improvements to the kitchen and bath and many little touches and basic supplies. It was a quick walk to the grocery store and a couple cute shops on Main Street. The hot water baseboard heat was super comfortable too. They responded quickly and personably to questions.

Feb 2019We enjoyed our stay and would come back. It was great for a family with 4 young children. Close driving distance to Mt Gore for skiing and walking distance to town with a a couple bakeries and a small Tops grocery store. Owners let us check in a few hours early which was great. Taking off one one star for the surrounding area and extreme noise from snowmobiles in the middle of the night.

Feb 2022This property was absolutely perfect for our family ski weekend! Minutes from the slopes, easy to access, clean, well-equipped, toasty warm despite the negative temperatures, and with wonderfully responsive and considerate owners and caretakers! Driveway was shoveled when we arrived despite an 18 inch dump that evening. We wish it hadn’t been so cold, as the outdoor patio space looked charming. Highly recommended, and would be a fantastic location for summer fun, as well!

Mar 2018This is a very nice, easy to use home. We came for a ski weekend at Gore Mountain and the location could not have been better. Quick to the slopes and right on the edge of town. Myself, and 5 boys aged 16 to 22 fit comfortably and even the 1 bathroom (2 sinks) was enough for us. I prepared all our meals and the kitchen was just right too. The entry way to the home received our equipment well and the house stayed dry and cozy. Everything was clean and it felt like home to us.

Aug 2020This cottage is well decorated, clean, comfortable, has many amenities and supplies (eg in bathroom and kitchen). Fire pit outside is nice perk. The only suggestion I would have is screens for some of the windows. There are several A/C units. There is no washer/dryer so bring all the clothes you need or there is a laundromat a short distance away. It’s nice to be just a few blocks from Main St where there is a grocery store, cafes, shops. We had a very pleasant stay.

Sep 2018The property was beautiful and in a prime location. A 5 minute walk around the corner from Main Street with delicious food and coffee, Tops Supermarket, wine store and cute vintage thrift stores. A quick 30 minute drive to beautiful Schroon Lake and close to I-87 which can take you anywhere from Albany all the way to Plattbsurgh (where we took a day trip to).
The house itself was beautiful. Beautiful wood interior. A great loft with two extra beds, a bed room with not one, but TWO bunk beds, a spacious bed room and living room to relax and watch TV after a long day. The kitchen had everything we needed as well as bath towels, extra blankets and pillows. Ruth and Fred were amazing hosts. Although we didn’t get to meet them, they ALWAYS answered every phone call and answered every question that we had. They also left menus on the fridge of local breakfast spots which came in handy.
The house also had a beautiful deck with chairs and tables, along with a firepit in the driveway. A very peaceful place for a drink or a snack at sunset or for a morning coffee. Ruth and Fred left directions for the wifi and TV. This was a very relaxing getaway for us. The area was very quiet and peaceful which we definitely needed. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! Very convenient location, pretty landscapes in the distance. Can’t wait for our next stay in the home!

Jan 2019The cottage was adorable and a perfect place to stay for a ski weekend at Gore Mountain. The cottage was easy to access and close to the mountain. It was clean and comfortable. The decor was charming and we didnt want for anything. Highly recommended.

The kitchen is well equipped, clean and organized. The WiFi was mostly reliable and strong. The shower was good in terms of reliable hot water and pressure. The only downside is the immediate neighborhood - derelict house across the street, commercial buildings, etc. On the plus side, it’s about as close to Gore Mountain as you can get.

Apr 2018Stayed here with 2 friends for a ski trip in March. The property is a little worn now compared to the photographs provided, but overall, we had a nice stay with everything we needed.
The cottage is in a spot convenient to the mountain and main street which was appreciated. I would recommend this cottage for winter travelers. The neighborhood is not conducive to outdoor relaxing.

Feb 2020Perfect little ski cottage, the fireplace warms the whole house. Had a very at home feel with very comfortable beds and perfect location in town ,with an easy drive to the slopes! My next ski trip to Gore I will absolutely rebook this property.

Nov 2020My family had such a wonderful time at this house! We cuddled up in front of the fireplace and enjoyed our time together. It was a welcome break from our daily google classroom meets and video calls. The cabin was so relaxing and it had everything we needed to spend the maximum amount of family time together as possible. We all look forward to our next trip up!

The living room is smaller than in the pictures- we spent most nights playing games at the dining table. With close proximity to all local attractions, including grocery store and coffee shop within walking distance, this is the perfect escape for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
