Sep 2021What a gem! This beautifully cared for and beautifully furnished home was more than we’d imagined! Located with an overlook on a golf course, in a cute “pocket” community, we felt welcomed and relaxed. Dining, shopping, groceries were all just minutes away. The home offered plenty of space for us (5 adults, 2 young children) individually and large enough spaces inside and outside to share meals and stories of our weekend trip. Any questions about the property were quickly answered by the owner/manager, Florence. And, because detailed descriptions of the house’s amenities were provided beforehand, our questions were few. We’ve travelled across and outside the country and been blessed to stay in some wonderful homes over the years. This San Antonio gem was truly just that…a gem….and we look forward to future stays. Mar 2020We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting SA for Spring Break. The location is about 20-25 min from downtown. The house itself has a great layout, and we had privacy from the other family that stayed with us. The furniture was all very nice, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all that we needed and the grounds were pretty with huge palm trees. The reason I only gave it 3 stars was the cleanliness. We have stayed in many VRBO properties throughout the US as well as in the Caribbean and this was by far the dirtiest. When we walked in the door, it did not smell fresh, like someone had just cleaned the house. In fact, it smelled pretty stale. We do know that someone checked out the day we checked in, so the house cleaner should have just cleaned before we got there. The floors did not appear to have been vacuumed, and the rugs throughout were dirty. Two of the bathrooms did not appear to have been cleaned. I had to find cleaner and clean the toilets myself. I did not want to have my family use dirty toilets. I actually had a hard time finding cleaner that was empty and/or diluted with water. We really think that a quick spot cleaning was done before our arrival, and not a full on cleaning. The bed sheets did appear to be clean. I did notify the owner about it, and she did tell me that she had a new service and that she would speak to them. If the house would have been cleaner, it would have made our stay more comfortable.

Jul 2019We had the most awesome stay at this property. The pictures don’t do this home justice! We spent a lot of time in the kitchen and living area. Just what we needed after reacquainting after 20 years. The house was in a great location to travel to any town we wanted to go. Loved the HEB being so close. We would be out all day and then made dinner at home. Thank you again Florence for allowing us in your beautiful home!

The House was exceptionally clean and was not the typical rental, it had been decorated and cared for and it showed. We were very happy with this cozy home away from home. We will be back!

Dec 2020We elected to spend our Christmas in this property. It was just what the doctor ordered. The place was every bit as advertised. The property was very spacious and clean. The kitchen made it very easy to prepare meals, it was equipped with everything you could possibly imagine you'd need. My favorite was the relaxing outdoor areas with plenty of fresh air and sunshine.
Property is well located with a short drive from the Riverwalk area and also near the airport.
Would certainly rent this property again!

Owner very helpful with check-in, expectations, and the use of the home. Centrally located with restaurants and grocery store minutes from the home. It was tough leaving the home due to comfort.

Florence was easy to get in touch with, communication was clear on what to expect and then when we arrived the home proved to be more than we expected. We spent 3 days in this home and it had everything we needed. The location was great with restaurants and shopping near by. I am beyond pleased with Florence and her home. Can’t wait to return.

The house provided plenty of room and great access to at home entertainment. There were great spots throughout the house to curl up with a book. Everything about our stay was very relaxing. The owner was very responsive to all of our inquires.

Oct 2019The owner was great to work with and provided a great place. Very easy process in accessing the property and great communication. Would recommend if you want a nice and quiet place close to town and interstate and yet in a beautiful escape with private access.

Mar 2022The house was really, really clean and had everything you could need to make the stay comfortable. We felt right at home and enjoyed our stay very much. The drive to the San Antonio hot spots was about 30 minutes but it wasn’t an issue for us. I would definitely stay at this property again.
