We had a great visit and enjoyed the property. It was close enough to Joshua Tree park - within 10-15 minute drive and close enough to a few local places in Yucca Valley & Joshua tree. The house was very spacious with plenty of place to relax and play. SO many fun things to do at the house - we enjoyed basketball, horseshoes, frisbee golf, putting green, games, puzzles, fooseball, and the pool table. The house was very clean and had some many tools and extras in the kitchen. I was really grateful for the provided coffee since I forgot to get it with the grocery delivery. In addition to grocery delivery, we took a night off cooking and got yummy pizza delivery to the house. We love hanging out both indoors and out. The hosts were great and responsive. This was wonderful place to stay.

We had a great experience staying at this house. The kids had plenty of entertainment with the backyard activities, hottub, games and movies. The house was very welcoming and clean. Comfortable beds. It was a great stay overall and we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed staying in the house. Lots of room, well stocked, living room furniture very comfortable (nice after a day of hiking in Joshua Nat'l Park. We had fun with the indoor games and outdoor games that were provided. The owner was friendly and easy to work with. Would stay again.

We came up to watch the meteor show. The house was clean and well laid out with an open floor plan. It had everything you would need, including and extra fridge/freezer in the garage. and an Ice dispenser! Even had toys that our grandson loved. Used the bbq each night. thoroughly enjoyed our stay! thanks again!

We are repeat guests to Jim and Dawn's rental, and each of our stays has been great. Love the hot tub, pool table, foosball table, comfy family room, and of course the convenient location for exploring Joshua Tree National Park.

We are apartment dwellers in a high-pedestrian traffic area of Los Angeles with street parking and communal laundry. Trying to keep our distance from others in our neighborhood is a challenge. We needed to get out of the city and wanted a place where we could walk outside without having to think too much. This location in Yucca Valley was superb. The lots are huge providing distance between the house and neighbors. In fact there are open lots adjacent to the property. We worked during our stay, so reliable "wired" internet was a must. The desk near the laundry room was a bit to far from the wireless router. I moved 10 feet closer and had no problems connecting. The internet speed was sufficient for working remotely (remote desktop & Zoom calls). There is so much to do at the house. We managed to play a few rounds of foosball and got in the hot tub a few times. That was awesome. We grilled almost every night and sat outside on the patio table to enjoy the outdoors. The backyard has visiting families of quail, bunnies, and an abundance of birds. One bunny was brave enough to hop up to the edge of the patio to check us out. Everything about the house was great. Very comfortable, clean and well-stocked. Both refrigerators were pretty empty which provided us ample space to buy/bring some of our own goodies to eat and drink. There were supplies that we didn't anticipate like the firewood for the outdoor fire pit, K-cups for the Keurig, sanitizing wipes and new bottles of shampoo and bars of soap in the bathroom. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with everything you would need. We planned to buy anything we needed that the house didn't have. The only thing we couldn't find was chopsticks. Lol. Not to worry, as good Asians, we brought ours from home. Jim and Dawn are superb hosts. They made everything so easy and accommodating for us. Their home is simply lovely and it would make a great retreat for a couple or a family with kids. There is enough to keep everyone entertained and relaxed. The location is also superb. Paved roads to their house make getting in and out easy. It's also very centrally located to everything. Took trips to Joshua Tree, Palm Springs, Salton Sea, and Parker Dam while we were here. Also, star-gazers and night-photographers. This is an ideal location. Went to Joshua Tree at 1AM to catch last week's meteor shower. Saw about 20 meteors in the hour we were sitting and looking up at the sky. Wow!

Truly a home away from home! Everything you would want to settle in, disconnect, and enjoy the desert. I have already booked another stay at this property in the winter!

We especially enjoyed the 5 minute drive to the Black Rock Canyon area of Joshua Tree National Park where we could engage in some great hikes away from the usual National Park crowds.

This was our second time staying at this property. The property managers are always very friendly and helpful. The property itself is fantastic! Very clean, plenty of activities, and spacious. We had a great stay!

This was my first time booking through VRBO, I am so glad I did. This house has everything and anything a family or group of friends may need. From an amazing outdoor space to cozy movie dens. We will definitely stay here again!

This property is wonderful. There is lots of room to relax and enjoy fun activities like a putting green, hot tub and pool table. It is conveniently located near two Joshua Tree NP entrances. The hosts are very attentive. I highly recommend it!

This house was everything we expected and more! The home was much larger then we thought, tons and tons of entertainment, close to everywhere we wanted to go, and the communication with hosts was absolutely amazing and easy!!! We will definitely be back!!

This home made my birthday this year extra special!!! The home is big, super clean, & has so many activities/amenities. The hot tub & outdoor swing was my favorite spot. Although I was hoping to use the fire pit, I ended up not using it because it was really windy at night. Everything was clearly communicated to us by hosts. I booked the trip for just me & my boyfriend but last minute my bestfriend & her boyfriend decided they wanted to come stay 1 night with us & Mr. & Mrs. Schooler had no problem with that! We ate at a super delicious mexican restaurant not too far away called El Guero Mexican Grill. Visiting the Joshua Tree National Park was really cool. The little hikes are great! Ok back to the property, even though there are neighbors, the neighborhood is extremely quiet. The house has a secluded feel & feels like you're the only people out there. Overall this was a GREAT stay. I have no complaints! This was an adult trip but the house would also be great for families.

The neighborhood was a great location for walking and viewing the mts. in Joshua Tree. It was only 15 minutes to the park entrance and staying in Yucca Valley was the wise choice. The owners of the rental were quite helpful before the rental date. It looks like they take pride in their house for others to use. Since it was Thanksgiving week, we ate with a large group. Perhaps this house will invest in newer cooking pans and have dishes available to use in the microwave. Many were metal. Many extra spices and paper products were available for use. The heat worked great as there was snow, which made the view even more spectacular. The house was quite supplied with fun things in evening and for teenagers to do such as games, and tvs and outside activities as seen in the pictures. There were labels on doors and a complete welcome packet for where the supplies were located -which shows the detail the owners took to help visitors feel more comfortable. Thank you, Jim and Dawn, for making our family time on thanksgiving a good experience with good memories. Joshua Tree National Park is amazing.

The house was clean and well stocked with everything needed and then some. The 5 yr old and the 2.5 yr old loved the yard, toys and games. Everyone loved the hot tub. Very conveniently located and super comfortable, spacious house! Thanks for the awesome stay!

The house is well stocked and spacious, and the yard is full of fun activities and comfortable seating. It was so nice that there were children's toys and books to keep my daughter busy and a playground. We had a wonderful time

The house is spacious and comfortable. It was very clean and has so much to do for all ages. I would highly recommend. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the description of the property is that it appears the laundry is available, but it was locked. It really wasn't an issue as we did not need to use it.

The house had everything we needed and more! It's well located (near Joshua Tree and Black Rock), very clean, in excellent condition, has a remarkably well-stocked pantry, a HOT hot tub, fun games, and enough space so that you can be together with but not on top of your fellow travelers. Jim and Dawn were very communicative, and all instructions were clear, easy to follow, and reasonable. We would absolutely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone we know visiting the area.
