Wellswood Cottage Queenstown. Neuseeland

This is the perfect place to settle in for a comfortable stay while exploring Queenstown and the surrounding area. The cottage, in an upscale neighborhood, is private but conveniently located next to the owner's home. The furnishings are good quality, it is beautifully decorated and the entire property is well maintained. We felt welcomed and relaxed during our 5 nights there.

This is an amazing property and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. It was beautifully decorated and appointed, very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable! They also had a very nice welcome of snacks and wine in the fridge.It is off the traditional tourist path but if you have a car this is so much quieter and more relaxing than downtown.

The cottage was located in a lovely area close to the airport and perfect if you are planning to visit the town or go skiing at The Remarkables, Coronet Peak (only 25 mins away) and Cardrona. The cottage was warm and cosy, the perfect place to relax while visiting Queenstown. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need while staying at the cottage. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom with super comfy couch for days relaxing at the cottage. Highly recommended!

Spacious, comfortable, well appointed with excellent hosts..

My spouse and I originally planned to spend seven nights at the Cottage, using it as a base to explore Queenstown and the surrounding area, but after setting our eyes on the Cottage, meeting our hosts, Jan and Vicki, and experiencing one day in the Queenstown area, we quickly changed our minds and asked if we could extend our stay an additional seven nights. We were so fortunate that our hosts were able to accommodate us. They are warm, friendly, and welcoming, and they ensured that all aspects of our rental experience was very efficient, professional, and hassle-free. We can’t say enough about how beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed the Cottage is. Anyone would be fortunate to have such quality furnishings in their own home. The kitchen has everything any vacationing chef would require to prepare the perfect meal. The location is also great -- a scenic short 10-minute drive to the heart of the vibrant Queenstown tourist district. More importantly, the location is much more convenient than the Queenstown tourist district is to begin a day exploring the surrounding areas of Arrowtown, Lake Wanaka, the wineries of Central Otago, the “Remarkables” Mountains, and the Fiordland National Park. We have stayed in a number of vacation rentals over the years, as well as being a vacation rental owner ourselves, and can honestly say this Cottage is hands down the best. If I may offer a bit of travel advice: there is so much to do and see in this part of New Zealand – world-class hiking, biking, extreme adventure experiences, wine tasting, fishing, boating, helicopter sightseeing, great dining, getting to know the locals, to name just a few – ensure you spend an adequate amount of time here. Oh, and do yourself a favor, stay in this lovely Cottage if you are able.

Jan has done a superb job of building and equipping this little house. Everything you need for a short or extended stay is available and of top quality. Very warm and cosy place to relax in after a day of adventures around the area. The house is perfectly positioned within easy drive of all the major attractions. Highly recommended.

Jan and Vicky were the perfect hosts and their Wellswood Cottage was an ideal spot. The cottage was beautifully laid out, equipped to the nines and so comfortable we didn't want to leave. We look forward to a return visit!

Great location to ride the bike trails and see Queenstown and Arrowtown with out the chaos of Queenstown. Garden to relax in river walking or cycling supermarket nearby. Would definitely go again

From the moment we arrived at this wonderfully located home, it exceeded our expectations. It is appointed beautifully and comfortably. We loved being able to explore all day and then come back to our little nest and eat a home cooked meal while relaxing by a lovely fire. Whether seeking a place for slow mornings, lounging afternoons or restful evenings, this is a perfect choice. We did all three of the above throughout our stay. The house is PERFECTLY clean, the bed is comfortable and the shower was our favorite of any we had during our three week stay in NZ . Without hesitation, we would recommend the cottage; you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful! The apartment is separate from the owners home, on a quiet street. Loved the location between Queenstown and Arrowtown. Includes a living room, dining room, kitchen, large bedroom and kitchen, as well as outside seating. Kitchen was fully stocked with all appliances. Everything was clean and very well maintained. Owners were very helpful with everything we needed to know about Queenstown. Loved it!
