Jan 2021WoodDuck Cottage was just perfect for our needs. It was deceptively large and thoughtfully furnished throughout, with lots of character. The hosts were friendly and helpful, yet discreet. We loved sitting outside listening to the birds and the sounds of the local animals, whilst enjoying our own private space. Best of all, we could bring our 3 senior canines with us to share our pleasure. Highly recommended.

Jan 2013Wood Duck Cottage is an easy drive from Melbourne for a weekend away or longer if time permits. Weve had a power-break here for 3 nights and 4 days. Its school holidays here in Victoria and we were all ready for some R&R to see us through until the Christmas/summer break. We thought Wood Duck Cottage would be perfect and we werent wrong!Wood Duck Cottage and Bunkhouse offers modern family holiday accommodation on a lovely farm setting. Its located a short drive out of the Yea township. The main cottage sleeps two couples offering Queen sized beds and a sofa bed in the main living area. The Bunkhouse sleeps one double and four children in bunks and has its own bathroom facilities and TV. The Bunkhouse, at one end has floor to ceiling glass doors which are hidden by two large stable doors. Open the stable doors to reveal the glass doors which open up on its own little decking area. This proved to be a great spot to watch the sunsets! The whole set up is great for two families wishing to get away together. The parents have their own retreat, the kids have their own area and theres plenty of space for the kids to enjoy the great outdoors.The facilities include a fully equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher, laundry, modern bathrooms (main with a double shower and sink), 46 TV, Wii, DVD library, outdoor fire and BBQ, bikes, helmets and access to the farm chickens for the children to collect the eggs. My two had a ball with all the space, tending to the chooks, patting the horses and building a fire each evening which one night we baked potatoes for dinner.Wood Duck Cottage is located near the beautiful Yea Wetlands, horse riding, wineries, tennis, golf and a number of charming local cafes. We enjoyed lunch and coffee in the sunny courtyard at Marmalades on a couple of occasions and dinner at Yea Peppercorn Hotel. Youre a bit spoiled for eating places in Yea!

Jan 2020We were very happy and comfortable. The link to the accommodation stated a different bedding situation but after speaking to Craig, we it sorted out very easily and wasn’t an issue at all. We had 3 kids which lived the space to run, playground and trampoline. We had everything there to feel right at home and relaxed. Thank you. Highly recommend.

Dec 2020We had a wonderful time here on the first night of a cycling trip on the great Victorian rail trail. Very comfortable, lovely surrounds, close to town and the rail trail. Would absolutely stay here again.

Jul 2016We had a very comfortable stay in Wood Duck Cottage. Everything was provided to a very high quality. Warm and plenty of hot water. Comfortable beds, good size bath towels and very well equipped kitchen. Comfy sofas, tv & dvd player plus lots of books and dvds to choose from.

Jul 2019We absolutely loved our stay at the wood duck cottage. We stayed over the weekend with our two dogs who were made to feel very welcome by Craig and Catherine. The cottage was spacious, warm and had a fantastic bathroom and kitchen. The property is beautiful and very close drive to the town centre. The fire was a real treat to sit by with our bottle of wine and our dinner.

Jul 2017This is a great place to just hang out and relax. We were a party of 7 and spent a lot of time sitting outside by the fireplace. The cottage had a great dvd collection and we would watch a movie at night. We booked for 2 nights and stayed an extra night. We will be back again!!

Nov 2016Quiet, peaceful, serene, spacious, affordable accommodation a couple of kilometres from delightful Yea in the equally delightful Goulburn Valley. The cottage was wonderfully set up and appointed with almost everything you would ever need on a holiday - and the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in away from home!

Craig and Catherine were great hosts nothing was too much trouble.
We took our 5 1/2 & 2 1/2 Y/O daughters and they loved the swings, playground and of course the Horses, Cows and Chooks. We were able to collect fresh eggs from the Chooks every morning which was a highlight.
Yea is a 20min walk or 3min car drive so you have all the benefits of being on a farm with the convenience of town whenever you need it.
Great little weekender for a family.

Jan 2021A very comfortable place to stay set amongst rolling hills and farms. Excellent beds, great shower, well appointed kitchen, fresh eggs from the chooks and friendly hosts. Our dogs were welcomed but it was tricky managing them as there’s no outside fenced area.
