This is a paradise. Everything you could ever need for a holiday at the beach, and it only a few steps away. The house was spotless when we arrived and has everything you need for a great time. Make sure to visit the turtle sanctuary just down the road

This house was a dream! A close walk to the beach with a public access point. The house was beautiful and clean. The layout worked perfectly for our family. We loved the pool. It was easy to use the washer and dryer. We could cook in the kitchen. All appliances worked well. Air conditioner was great. We loved the deck and outdoor areas as well. Highly recommend!

This house had everything plus more to offer our large family. The interior of the house was beautiful and spacious. The exterior was were we wanted to be. We spent every evening as a family eating under the patio, playing cards and watching the kids swimming in the pool. The house made our trip the best one ever.

The house has everything you could want! It had plenty of space for everyone and we had 14 in our party and 7 were kids. The outdoor space was amazing and the private pool was perfect. The owner is great and always there to help with all your needs. If you are looking for a big house for your group this is the one.

Perfect location. Lest than 5 min walk to the beach. Plenty of beds. Home very very clean. The only thing that somewhat caused problems…Texas weather. Lots of rain for us, minor flooding around SPI, but meeting up with family was priceless!! Thanks to our wonderful host, we plan to return next summer if she’ll have us!😉

Perfect location. House was clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The pool was awesome and we really enjoyed the back patio area.it was party central!

Our stay was excellent, the home is spacious and very clean. I will not stay anywhere else in SPI, we really felt pampered. Everything you need is in this home from cooking pots, grill outside with a huge covered patio with picnic tables, 2 hammocks and a table to play ping pong next to pool. The air conditioner works extremely well which is a must in Texas heat. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available to take to the beach along with and ice chest and a cart. This was awesome, we did not have to bring anything from home or buy any items. We simply brought clothes and food. We loved the garage space to remove the doors on our jeep and cruise around the island. Customer service is amazing, Jaclyn was quick to respond from where is the light switch for outdoor lighting to recommending very tasty restaurants. Please stop by Wanna-Wanna beach bar and grill for Ceviche it is the best, walking distance from the house. We will definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Sweet Carolyn Beach House was more than perfect! We packed 14 friends and family into this gorgeous house and had a wonderful vacation going to and from the beach (literally a 2 min walk), cooling off in the pool with some adult beverages and music, and then lounging on the back deck in the evenings. We had plenty of room to spread ourselves out because of the layout of the house (large bedrooms and a loft), and found it was easy for small groups of folks to walk to Wanna Wanna for a turbo or to Kelly's to catch some college hoops. Jaclyn was a great host- giving us very detailed entry and house instructions and quickly answering any questions we had during our stay. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I stayed at Sweet Carolyn for only two nights but didn't want to leave. There are a lot of great restaurants located within 1-2 miles which was very convenient, and beach was only about a 3 minute walk. The house itself feels very private and homey. My wife and I will be back to this home for sure!

My husband, myself and our pup stayed at Sweet Carolyn to celebrate his birthday. The house was HUGE, so nicely decorated, super clean (always a plus) and really close to the beach. The neighborhood is pretty quiet and laid back. Jaclyn (the lady we rented from) was great. She gave us lots of recommendations for places to eat and things to see. We only got to stay a weekend but we will totally be back and will bring lots of friends!! :)

My friends and I enjoy taking trips together and we're a pretty big group so it's not always easy to accommodate us. However, this house fit the bill - plenty of room for all of us so we didn't feel cramped, nice and clean, comfortable sleeping spaces, and a pool! Not to mention that the beach is just a short walk away as is our group's favorite beach bar, Wanna Wanna. Next time we come to South Padre, we'll definitely plan on staying here again!

My family and I had a such a good time on the island in Sweet Carolyn Beach House! Jaclyn gave us very detailed instructions and made sure the house was super clean. We enjoyed the outside of the house with the pool and huge deck area just as much as the inside of house with the big open space as you walk in and the fun loft. The house is down the street from the beach and Wanna Wanna Beach Bar. Coming back next year!

My brother and I took our families (9 in all) to South Padre for 5 days. Jaclyn, has an ideal place to stay. There was plenty of space for everyone. The beach was right across the street and the pool was a good place to hang out at night after everyone had enough of the sand. We brought more stuff than we needed. This house has everything. Pool toys, ping pong table, grill, beer fridge and anything else you can think of. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking utensils. The convenience store on the corner has anything that was forgotten. No need to go to the larger grocery stores. Will definitely come back next time we are in Padre!

I would first like to start off by saying the homeowners were so pleasant to work with! They were very responsive answering all of my questions and were very accommodating. Overall experience was perfect and would not hesitate to re-book this rental home, we can't wait to go back for our next visit to South Padre. The house...absolutely perfect and everything was exactly as described in the rental listing. You can tell its very well taken care of and maintained. The house provided everything our group needed on the inside from the number of beds (the loft area is an awesome space), baths, towels, sheets, blankets etc. to the kitchen having everything you need if you plan on cooking and plenty of space overall. The outside...AMAZING! The pool completes this house and makes it the perfect getaway with family/friends. There is plenty of sun all day by the pool with lawn chairs to layout and there is shade underneath the deck with a couple picnic tables and a great hammock to take an afternoon nap on. Perfect atmosphere to be able to relax, have some fun and enjoy your vacation. There even is an outdoor shower for when you get back from the beach, along with a half bath and refrigerator in the garage which is so convenient when you are spending the day poolside. The LOCATION...Perfect. South Padre has several beach bars, cute shops around town, fresh seafood and great beaches. You can walk to the beach literally in just a few minutes, its so close and the beach bar around the corner has fresh ceviche (must try), which was great for our group. There is also a convenient store on the corner so that was perfect when we needed anything last minute. And there is a karaoke bar (which provides some fun entertainment) and an Irish Bar & Grill within walking distance. Our overall experience as a group could not have been better and would definitely recommend this house for anyone looking to enjoy South Padre and have a memorable vacation. Book it now!

It was as described in previous reviews. Adorable place, clean and well kept, convenient location. It's hard to tell the layout from the photos but you walk into the living/kitchen area. Then there's a hallway with the master bed/bath on the left and two guestrooms and a bath on the right. Then the loft upstairs has all of the built-in twins on the right and two nooks with entertainment areas on the left, all open to each other and a bath in the middle. It was especially great for families, easy to divide up. You take your chances sometimes when renting a place unseen but this was worth it. Owner was accessible and responded quickly with questions. Thanks so much.

House is well stocked and comfortable, outside patio and pool area is where we spent most of our time, it was fantastic! What a great vacation home!

Had the opportunity to stay at the Sweet Carolyn for an extended weekend - and it was simply perfect. Our host had thought of everything for our stay. Amazing, breezy, HUGE covered patio. House is clean, stylish, and well appointed. Owner is available and responsive. Can't wait to go back!!

This place is great for large families. I thought we would never use the pool because we were so close to the beach, but it was windy and hot and the pool got lots of use.
