Wir haben gerade zurückgekehrt und hatten eine tolle Zeit.
Wenn Ihre Wartungspersonen nicht überprüft haben, lief die Gasflasche
auf unserem ersten BBQ und wir wechselten auf die Reserveflasche um.
Das Haus war so gut, wie wir es uns erhofft hatten, nachdem wir alle Bewertungen gelesen hatten

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt und das Haus war einfach so toll! Es hatte alles, was wir uns hätten wünschen können.
Es war auch wunderbar Nutzung Ihres Hauses für unseren Urlaub jeder auf, wie schön und stilvoll das Haus kommentiert zu haben war- wir alle wie wir fühlten, wurden in einem Resort in Bali Urlaub. Meine Mutter liebte die Küche und allem Zubehör (sie ist italienisch und kennt ihre Küchen!) .
Unser Aufenthalt war wirklich wunderbar und unvergesslich - dank Ihrem Haus!

Hallo John. Ihr Haus ist absolut großartig. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Es war genau das, was ich für meinen 40. wollte. Alles lief perfekt und die Betten waren auch sehr bequem, das ist immer ein Anliegen ist, wenn man woanders bleibt.
Die Taverne auf der Straße war am Freitag Abend praktisch. Wir gingen hart und schnell und erwachte sehr langsam Samstagmorgen, die den Tag meines Geburtstag war! Kein guter Weg, um Ihr 40. Jahr zu starten (Kopfschmerzen !!!)
Wir waren total entspannt nach unserer Woche. Nochmals vielen Dank für uns mit der kurzfristig entgegenkommend.

Oct 2019Wonderful place to stay, very relaxing, clean, beds very very comfy, lots of room, close to the beach, loved the pool, perfect place to celebrate my sisters birthday with some good friends, we had an amazing time, highly recommend ten at the beach, John was wonderful to deal with, loved everyminute, we didnt want to leave, already planning the next getaway. Thank you John for fitting us in for the long weekend, we all had an amazing time!! Cant wait to come back. Thank you very much!! Lyn

Oct 2019Wonderful place to stay, very relaxing, clean, beds very very comfy, lots of room, close to the beach, loved the pool, perfect place to celebrate my sisters birthday with some good friends, we had an amazing time, highly recommend ten at the beach, John was wonderful to deal with, loved everyminute, we didn't want to leave, already planning the next getaway. Jan 2018What a beautiful place to holiday! Just meters from the beach! Plenty of room for everyone! It's was great that each room had it's own bathroom. Pool area was awesome, we spent a fair bit of time in there relaxing and keeping cool. The owner John was great to deal with. Had a problem with the Weber, and a brand new one was there the very next day! We would definitely recommend this beautiful home for your next holiday destination if traveling with a large group.

Oct 2022We had such a great time using this property. The kids didn’t get out of the pool the whole time. There were plenty of pool toys also. John was very accomodating for the kids, providing a high chair, cot and trundle beds! We had 5 couples and each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. We also really enjoyed having the beach at the end of the street and a lovely coffee shop at the other end! There were plenty of cooking utensils in the kitchen. We will be recommending this house !

Nov 2014We had a great stay. There were 10 of us and we had plenty of room to be together and also to find our own space. The house had everything you needed. Great kitchen and excellent pool and outdoor area.

Jul 2016We had a fantastic 10 night stay in this superb house. All the communications with the owner John in the lead up to our stay were prompt and he provided exactly what we needed to know.
We have 3 teenage children and stayed with another family who do too....this house size and layout was absolutely perfect for us, so much space with separate living areas for us all to relax in. The outdoor entertainment area suited us perfectly, we had many bbq's there by the very well kept pool. Enjoyed the convenience of opening all the doors and windows from kitchen through to bbq. Loved the huge dining table and the couch in main room.
We did find the pillows too firm, I messaged John asking if he had any softer ones perhaps somewhere...within an hour we had 6 brand new perfect pillows.....great service. We were each provided with a beach towel on arrival. John provided us with ideas of where to enjoy a drink at sunset and a meal too.
The beds were very comfortable, ceiling fans in all rooms...as well as air con. We loved each bedroom having an ensuite, allowed for some early starts for day trips for 10 of us :)
Kitchen was really well set out and provided everything required....the drinks fridge was very very handy.
Location location location, wow....we enjoyed many walks along the stunning beach...a great walk into town....was so convenient being able to enjoy the beach and pop back into the house to grab something.
We highly recommend this property for so many reasons....thanks John

Jan 2021The overall setup of the house as well as the location was excellent though the house was needing quite a bit of maintenance. It was very hot sitting out on the back deck as there was never any breeze. It definitely needs a ceiling fan or something there to circulate the air. The bed we had seemed no bigger than a double bed but we had the smallest room. The king beds were downstairs only. I suggest, that it would be a good idea to have a small smart TV put in every bedroom as the only TV in the house was in the smallest room (loungeroom) downstairs with no TV in the large family/dining area or out on the patio, where we spent most of our time. We were told by the owner in his list of instructions for the house that it is a lovely cool house but this was not the case. To be fair though, we were there over Xmas and New Year so it rained every day and was very muggy. The beach, which was just a short walk away nearly always had a lovely breeze but on the patio it was a sweatbox. Not pleasant at all.There was a large leak right above the door as you walk from the dining/family room out to the patio which was reported in a review in 2017 which still has not been fixed.Overall the house is in a good position but would be much better if some maintenance was done.

May 2016The house was in an excellent location and generally a nice house however the condition of the house left a lot to be desired.
1/ The spa did not work (pump seized).
2/ Pool lights did not work.
3/ Ground floor bathroom door lock faulty - very difficult to open.
4/ Ground floor bathroom door needs a privacy lock on the door.
5/ Only 2 tea towels provided in the kitchen - needs more.
6/ Top loading washing machine leaked water badly.
7/ Front loading washing machine spin dryer not functioning correctly.
8/ The cabana smelt strongly of mould - guests could not stay in the room.
9/ Upstairs bedroom (closest to 4 mile beach) shower does not have a door or curtain - water from shower all over floor and very slippery.
10/ It would help if the carving knives, etc., in kitchen were sharpened occasionally.
11/ Only 1.5 towels per guest provided - web site for house stated 2 towels per guest.
12/ Food cutting boards were found beside fridge (in alcove) - very dirty and needed considerable cleaning prior to use.
13/ Only a partial roll of toilet paper was found in each toilet - no spare rolls provided.
14/ Ceiling light in bedroom ensuite, first floor, rear of house, not functioning.
15/ Considerable rot in the timber decking and decking support joists at rear of house.
16/ Considerable water leaking from ceiling of rear verandah above house rear doors when it rains or the first floor rear bedroom air conditioner is operating.
17/ Web site stated that there were three king size beds and two queen size - in fact there were two king size and three queen size beds.
This house is in need of maintenance badly and some attention needs to be applied to creature comforts within the house (toilet paper, etc.). A second TV in the family room would be a good addition (currently only one TV in house).

Aug 2013Thankyou John. Your house was amazing.It was perfect for all our adult children and grandchildren, who were on holidays with us to enjoy our wedding and weeks holiday together. Michael and I enjoyed the luxurious cabana, giving us privacy away from the house. Everyone having their own ensuites was a fabulous bonus. We loved the open feeling of the house and the kitchen with the open windows to outside for entertaining. The outside entertaining area amazing with a backgarden/pool with full sun all day, and plenty of sun lounges to enjoy. Could not have asked for a better home to live in and enjoy for our special week. I would highly recommend this holiday home to large families wanting to be together but also wanting their own space for relaxation.

Sep 2017Room for everyone, great off street parks, metres to beach, close to great restaurant, cafe & pub. Everything was tick tick tick. For a big group of us this place really worked well. Big fridge and freezer plus spare drinks fridge. We never used the TV. Issues? Not really; a shower head failed, it was replaced within hours. Dishwasher leaked, a service man was there in no time at all. The pool got a good work out. This is the sort of place to come back to.

Jan 2015Our 10 nights at Port Douglas was amazing! Ten @ Beach is a beautiful home and well suited to our large family, everyone had their own space to escape to. Only 20 meters to Four Mile beach and the beach shack restaurant just around the corner! John was a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating. Highly recommend this property for a fantastic holiday!

Jan 2017Holiday in Port Douglas
After an amazing few days in a fabulous house in a wonderful beach side location.
Everyone in our large group had the perfect holiday in Port Douglas.
Not that we saw a lot of Port Douglas, we didn't want to leave the house.
Spending much of our time around the large pool, swimming and lounging on the new decking and garden, swam a lot at night with the pool lights.
Strolling down to the beach just a few meters away sitting on the sand under the coconut trees with a cool drink or going for a walk.
Kitchen;
The house has a large well equipped kitchen with large oven and hotplates, dishwasher and outside at the wide fold back window a Weber BBQ Needless to say we ate at home most nights.
Laundry well equipped with new machine and dryer.
Bedrooms;
Were great each with a en-suite bathroom and comfortable beds. Each had garden or balcony access to retreat to.
Living rooms;
Lounge was large with huge lounge suite and huge dinning table for all to sit, another large outside dinning suite under roof.
The TV with internet access was in another sitting room which was I thought a bit small but we were not there to watch TV.
House generally well presented and extremely clean. It is well equipped, lots of towels provided for bathrooms and striped ones for the pool and beach.
Issues;
We had 2 issues, only one set of keys were left for 10 guests the housekeeper brought us another set.
We also had one issue with an air-conditioner in one of the bedrooms. But it was repaired within a couple of hours from one phone call. Great back up!
I can enthusiastically recommend this property and our group are looking at dates next year to repeat our holiday

Jun 20195 bdrms with 5 bathrooms was very convenient. Location is great with Beach just short walk. Pool was chilly but it's was winter. Don't be concerned about distance to city center . Shuttles/cabs available and there are several good eats/drinks in short walking distance.
