Oct 2021We loved the location. Since the house sat on a peninsula, you didn't see any other houses adjacent to you, unless you were actually on the water looking back. I was curious if the house would comfortably fit our crew of 11. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised; we were all comfortable and had plenty of room to spread out. We brought two dogs with us that had plenty of space to explore and run around outside. We enjoyed getting out on the water, using some the various watercraft provided. The fishing was great, especially from the dock. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful. Besides the occasional one or two fishing boats popping up every now and again in Misery bay, we saw no one in the vicinity. Very secluded! We only explored the bay and for us, there was no need to go out onto the larger lake, but I'd like to try that next time. Other than that, we had the bay mostly to ourselves. Beautiful and quiet surroundings. Inside, there was a nice game room and bar to keep us entertained. Outside, there is badminton, volleyball, bikes provided, horseshoe, rowboat, etc. Plenty to keep you occupied, or a nice swing, just to relax.
Upstairs living room was spacious and we watched plenty of movies. Folks are saying they want to come back because this place hits the mark on so many levels. We had an awesome time. The hosts Jim and Jamey were very accommodating and easy to work with, and Sandy, the property manager, was extremely helpful and responsive, as well. We hope to return again!

Jul 2021We have rented several cabins in the past and this is the best one that we have had. This is the 2nd year that we have stayed there and we will do it again. Cabin has everything we need and the location and fishing were great.

Jul 2019We had a great week at Jeff's property. It was a family trip for my husband and 2 kids (3 & 5) and my parents and my brother. We enjoyed the location so much - you absolutely couldn't ask for a better view and private bay.
The kids played at the sandy beach each day, we took out the kayaks, the canoe and the rowboat. We fished off the dock and my dad launched his boat across the bay and tied up at the dock and went out Musky fishing every day. We enjoyed the kids swing, the porch swing, the toys in the garage, (especially the digger toy) and the firepits.
We saw all kinds of wildlife: bald eagles, muskrats, turtles laying eggs, and more!
The house had everything you needed inside with plenty of space and the game room was great!
The only (slight) downsides for our week was the very warm weather (no AC, but used the fans - thank you!) and the mosquitoes and flies. But we expected both and they aren't controllable by the owner! The only area for improvement in the house is that some of the mattresses are starting to get worn and could use replacing over time.
The property manager was very helpful and checked in with us via phone. We had one concern with the washing machine and she was very helpful and friendly on what to do.
If you are looking for a quiet, secluded, private, yet wide open space with tons of activities, this is the place!

Feb 2022We had 5 guys. Only 2 had to share a room. Plenty of space for us and all our gear. Decent access to trails for both MI and WI. Place was very nice and clean and had everything we needed for cooking the majority of our meals. Would definitely visit again!

Feb 2021We ended up going a day early to beat a winter storm. The owner was super accommodating to help us accomplish this!
There were games to play when it was too cold to go outside. And sights to visit when we went a little stir crazy.
The home is very clean and better than advertised.
We will be making this a annual trip.

Aug 2022We all had an excellent time. The fishing was awesome, the property was big so we could play croquet, house was very nice and roomy. When the weather wasn't the best the basement is so nice with the pool table and bar. I would highly recommend this place!!

Jan 2021This was our second Christmas Getaway at the property....what. a. BLAST! Plenty of space for 3 families (12 of us, plus an infant) and tons of fun. The guys went ice fishing every day (walleyes, perch, and northerns this year) while the ladies and kids played games, read books, and watched tons of movies together. The icing on the cake this year was that we had a marriage proposal on New Year's Eve, so this place will always hold a special place in our hearts. Great house, away from everything, in a gorgeous setting. Now we wait for visit #3.

The 90ft dock is stunning and watching the sun set and rise every day from the dock was relaxing and breathtaking. Our overall experience was great. The house was clean, neat, and had home-feel vibes. We actually felt like we were meant to live there. Never felt like we were on vacation in terms of how at home we were. Beautiful place, great location, great property owners. Would highly recommend!

Aug 2020This property is just as described, and more! Jeff and Jaime thought of everything! The kitchen was fully stocked, there were games for the adults and kids, sand toys, water floaties, etc. Our family loved the location, the beach was clean and sandy, we caught panfish at the end of the dock. In the 7 days we stayed, we really had no reason to leave, and were sad when check out day came. Truly a piece of heaven in the Northwoods.

Jul 2019This property is amazing! Our family of 7 (including 5 kids) had so much fun playing on the beach, swimming, and boating. It really has all the amenities we could ask for. Our kids and German Shepherd had a blast running and playing on the huge lawn. We saw many eagles, a beaver, loons, and ducks. We hope to return next year!

Jul 2020This is such a wonderful property and we had an amazing time! The house was very clean and very well stocked. The location was prime for our family and we ended up doing a lot at the property as a family rather than going out to find things to do. We swam and played in the sandy beach area a lot, it is perfect for small kids as well. The lake was perfect for kayaking amd boating. We are going to make this a permanent getaway for our family. Thank you to Sandy for making sure we had everything we needed and thank you to Jeff and his family for sharing their home!

Aug 2022The description of property was everything it advertised…great beach, lots of water toys (kayaks, paddle board, etc.) and the location was very quiet with a great view.

Jan 2021The cabin was very clean and had plenty of room for our group. Check in/Check out was very simple and the informational binder had everything we needed in it. Great access to snowmobile trails and easy access to the lake for ice fishing!

Feb 2021Place was perfect for snowmobiling. Ride across lake and your on the trail. Cabin is also really nice and in a really nice location back in the woods.
